The restaurant was amazing, both food and staff. In fact, all staff was great. Very familiar place, will most likely return. Also the room view was fantastic. The bed had two single separate mattresses together instead of one, which was a bit uncomfortable.

This hotel was great value for money and conveniently located on the outskirts of Rome. This suited our needs as we were able to book multiple rooms at reasonable rates, car parking was free and the train into the centre of Rome was convenient enough ( took approx 1/2 hour ). We found a couple of great eating spots within 5 minutes drive of the hotel as well as dined at the hotel itself. Like all smaller/regional hotels in Italy, if you speak some Italian then this is a distinct advantage. Overall the staff were friendly and tried their best to help us out. Not the easiest place to find on the map; the gps came in very handy.

The location was nice. Internet does not work.the rooms need update. It is not a user friendly hotel but that is typical of Italian home made want to be 5 star hotels.

The covenient location, close to railway station Pantanella. Close to airport Rome Campanella Nearby City of Marino is an old ancient italian village with good and budget friendly restaurants. Although mentioned that creditcards are accepted it was for us not possible to pay by creditcard. Internet connections were available and working. Hotel stated that there was a problem with the bank connection. Dishes at the breakfast were not clean, breakfast in general was typical Italian thus poor.

The hotel staff were very friendly once they realised we spoke Italian. The room had a superb view over Rome. The hotel also organised a free shuttle to take us into Marino - an unexpected bonus. The location isn't good if you don't have a car and would like to be able to walk into town easily. The road is fairly busy and there is no pavement to take you into Marino. We thought it looked to be a short distance on the map; it's actually about 25 minute walk into the centre of town.

The only thing we like that there water from tap was mineral. 1. The hotel itself looks great, but when you see the details closer, it's upset you. Rooms are empty (of course, there are furniture, TV, air condition, but no information about hotel, no proposals for tourists, advertisments, informational leaflets. No glasses (only plastic for water). 2. Wi-fi is "available" only in lobby, but it has strange period of work - 1 minute it's working, 10 minutes not. So better to say there is no wi-fi. 3. Restaurant. The kitchen is awful. They pretend to be the worst italian kitchen we ever seen! They spoiled simple pizza. Concerning the breakfast - this is not 4* breakfast - couple of cornettos with jam, milk, cereals, 1 lind of ham, 1 kind of chease and juices. No vegetables, no simple sandwiches, no olives or salads. I propose to hotel staff to clean a furniture, the sits of chairs are not old but really dirty. Service is more or less ok, 15 of minutes of waiting is "normal" for restaurants, but when I asked for americano or coffee lungo (which is in menu) after couple of minutes the waiter asked me to explain what does it mean! (Actually it means that he did not read menu). When the waiter splashed half of coffee on the plate, it was also not big problem, and when he asked us to pay extra 2 euro for second glass of hot water for tea we asked, it was ok, I understood that the real professionals working in this hotel. 4. Reception. When we finally left the hotel the receptionist asked us to pay extra 20 euro for our baby. He explained it by rules of booking.com and he was very enthusiastic when recommend me to read it carefully, but when I found printed paper with our reservation and conditions of reservation, where nothing was said about extra payment, he was a bit upset and asked for 10 euro extra. Finally he was so nervous, that we paid only the price of room.

Wonderfull looking hotel, located on the hill, viewing Rome. Beautifull sorounding nature, fountains, everything very romantic. Room clean with fridge, tv, and nice bathroom. Extraordinary kind receptionist and staff. Flowing water from the tap had a strange taste, something like sweet with bubles :-o Very nice looking hotel restaurant with beautifull teracce, but way too expensive. Breakfast was not very tasty. Hard to find without gps.

The worst thing was that conditioners were very bad. The wether (outside) was not very hot but in the room was very very hot. In the nigth I opened the windows because it was not possible to sleep but then we listen the sound of outside recuperator. It was very funny: outside and inside conditioners working loudly but not freezing. One more thing. We got the room for persons with Disabilities (I don't know maybe all the rooms are the same) and the shower for me was to short.

A very elegant hotel in a beautiful countryside setting with a great view of Rome in the distance. Not being able to charge drinks to the room. Restaurant staff insisted on cash payment. Hotel would benefit from a swimming pool.

Room was clean, receptionist helpful and friendly. Impossible to sleep until 2330h because of party going on with screaming Italian DJ. Breakfast is a joke. No cups available for the cold coffee, no glasses for the cheap juice and no bread; when asking the girl for help she starts complaining that she has to do everything by herself (Fawlty Towers!).

Location, very handy for Ciampino airport (we had a hire car and the drive is only about 15-20 minutes in the rush hour). Staff were friendly, and the evening meal was very good. 20 euros for a meat menu, extra 10 euros for a fish version. With a welcome prosecco and a glass of wine. We tried each between us and enjoyed them. Breakfast was a decent selection of the usual stuff. Clean, large and comfortable room. A bit remote from the nearby town - walkable, but up a busy road and a bit out the centre. That said, very handy for Ciampino by car, and it looked like it was no big deal by rail either (though we didn't try that).

The hotel was beautifully appointed and had a good location in the Alban Hills with Rome visible on the horizon. The room was large and the hotel had interesting pictures and an elegant feel. There was ample parking. The receptionist was helpful and allowed us to use the hotel office computer to print out a confirmation for a ferry which we were taking from Bari the next day. The local train went to Rome in 25 minutes and we used the hotel shuttle bus to reach the station. We did not wish to drive in Rome.

Hotel staff except receptionist, can not speak English at all. It's only for Italians, not for the others. Room cleaning was s~~~o dirty .So I complained it but it was useless. The water drain in the shower booth was not working properly. So I should be so attentive to control water amounts to avoid drain blocking whenever I took the shower. It was re~~~ally really irritating and disgusting. If you want to spoil your pleasant stay and can speak Italian ,you will enjoy this hotel.

The hotel is really nice, somehow magnificent, placed on the top of the hill with enchanting view. Buildings are shining and very well decorated. Free parking lot available as well as internet connection. You need to climb some stairs from the parking lot to the reception and if you have heavy luggage and not that young anymore this can be complicated. The place is magnificent but breakfast is too basic although very well presented.

We liked the building. It is very nice. It looks like a castle. We only chose this Hotel thinking it is closer to the Airport. We had late flight coming in and early flight going out. Choosing this hotel was a bad decision. This Hotel is 7 Kilometer from the Airport and 1.5 kilometer from the train station. Taxi drivers rip you off. They charge any where from 25 euros to 40 Euros for 5 minute ride. Hotel has shuttle service to the Train Station. They say run it runs every hour starting at 7:30 AM to Train station. But the driver is mostly not available . We were one and half hour late for the Shuttle. At that time we didn't know that station is 1.5 Kilometers. Other wise we would have walked. Keep in mind driver will not be available for all the timings they tell you. We were told by the front desk staff that in the evening we should call the hotel half an hour before we reach the Train station, so that driver can be there to give us ride back to the hotel. We were told that latest the shuttle can pick us up is till 10:00 PM We left Rome and called the hotel that we will be at the station at 9:15 PM. We were told "driver is not available, Since hotel is 1.5 Kilometers away. We can easily walk". Walking 1.5 kilometers is not that bad. But with a 9 year old child, who is walking all day in Rome is a big deal. It is not safe when you are walking steep hill in total dark (no street lights) with no foot path ( walk way). If you have not done your dinner by eight. The restaurant in the hotel is closed at 8:00 PM. I will not recommend any one to stay in this hotel Unless you are staying in the city. If you are going to Rome. Find a different Hotel or stay in Rome.
