Breakfast choice No option to use wifi Location Asked for double room and got 2 single beds
Good locaton, cleannes and nice quality for good price
Coffee and juice at breakfast were both terrible. Both were from machines and watery/tasteless. When we asked at reception if anything could be done to improve either of these, we were just told No.
Peaceful location but very central.
It would be nice to have a bottle of water in the room and the hairdryer was not working properly (for long hair it would take hours to dry it)
Basic hotel, nice location, close to the vaporetto and value for money is good! Price is quite low so didn't expect a luxurious hotel but perfect price for one night in easter weekend.
The pictures on the website deceiving about the size of the rooms. BUT, why would you go to Venice to just stay in your room!!!
The staff were excellent. Vey helpful with directions.
Internet was intermittent plus you had to log on each time - it never just connected. Would have been nice if there was a lounge area to have a drink or coffee in the evening.
Hotel was very clean. Room was large enough and very clean. Breakfast was good but would have been nice to have a fruit salad and maybe some cheese - not just meats. Staff were all happy to help with any questions we had. Location was really good. Very close to water taxi stop.
some staff good, some not small room and not very clean
Too simple acomodation and breakfast for the price. Staff not helpful. Wifi bad, was always needed to write a complicated code.
Breakfast was very poor in terms of variety, rooms need refurbishment
Location and staff
The thin walls between rooms were a minor issue with noise and we would have liked to borrow an iron & ironing board but these were not available.
This is a very pleasant hotel tucked away from the hustle & bustle but within a short walk from the main tourist attractions. A more than ample continental breakfast choice & comfortable clean rooms.
We loved our room and the amazing staff. The location was very central and easy to find.
Same breakfast everyday with not much selection. It is located on a back street so a bit hard to find at first. Once you are familiar then everything is ok. Air conditioning was too noisy and we couldn't sleep properly.
Good locariam for the working I was doing.
The staff. At the end of our trip, we asked the receptionst to give us the bus timetable through the airport. She gave us the bus timetable from the airport to the center, we were just about to lose the plane. In the first day , we asked for maps and she gave us a unuseful one(no streets name), next day other receptionist gave us a good one. Please take in consideration this feedback, we consider that the staff is really important.
comfort, location, breakfast
Domus Ciliota is in a perfect location, very close to San Marco, and the Accademia bridge (one of the three bridges to cross the Canal Grande). Three different boat stops are also very close but it's better to move by feet. A good breakfast is served in the morning, and the staff is very kind and helpful. Don't expect you a luxury room but for the price is well-worthy!!
not very easy to find
very comfortable, and nice people
B'fast options can be improved Rooms should have tea/coffee making facilities
Room Size Clean Bathroom Quite neighbourhood Hassle-free extremely close to Sant Angelo Waterbus Stop.(Direct to-fro airport by alilaguna service)
The wall are very thin and I could hear my neighbor breathing
This is basically a youth hostel disguised as a hotel. When I walked in, it reminded me strongly of a dormitory because there is no carpeting anywhere and the hallways are creepy and long. It actually used to be a monastery dormitory, and they have done nothing to fix it up. The rooms look like dorm rooms, complete with cheap quality furniture and again, no carpeting on the linoleum floor. The walls are paper thin, so if you have the misfortune, like us, to be next door to someone with a chronic cough, you are out of luck. You can hear everything. The wifi was terrible and the included breakfast a little gross. They had machines which dispensed orange juice and coffee, nothing was fresh. Our bathroom had mold in it, and the housekeeping staff tried to kick us out of the room so they could clean, and when we refused because we said we were leaving in 10 minutes, they just walked away and didn't ever clean our room. Nice. I research hotels extensively before booking and felt mislead by the reviews and pictures associated with this one. The price too was misleading, as it was about $150 euros a night, not exactly cheap. I was surprised that so many "mature couples" gave it a good review. I have no doubt there are better options for the money.
The location was right for our New Year's Eve in Venice.
Nice staff, clean and cosy room. Good breakfast. Perfect location.
Bed was too small.
Nice boutique hotel. Perfect location. I will definitely stay there again.
I had some trouble getting money to pay my bill on checkout. The staff were fine about it, and very understanding. No dramas.
Single room is somewhat small, but this is standard in cities like Venice.
Very conveniently located, within 10 mins walking distance to all major attractions. Plenty of good restaurants in the neighborhood. Hotel very clean. Quiet side street, out of the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfares which were jam-packed with tourists. Would stay there again.
Perfect Location Helpful Staff Clean Everything you need - no frills Excellent Value for Money
tiniest TV I've ever seen. Room was basic, it's fine as a place to crash for the night.
Very nice place, close to everything, helpful staff, good breakfast. Enjoyed the stay there!
