It was my third time in Rome and I prefer to stay near the train station, however the location is the only good thing about this place. Where to begin... First of all, we were really unhappy about how cold it was. We stayed around Dec 8-10 and it was 5-10c outside, inside it was about 13-15 degrees - there was a heating battery inside the room, however the handles were taken off, so that we couldn't turn the heat on!!! How disgraceful is that? We had to sleep in one bed under several thin blankets. When we asked for two additional blankets, we received only one - with holes in it and white stains on it (one can only guess what those stains were...). The shower door wouldn't close. The breakfast was really poor, like bread roll, butter and jam poor. Wow. The woman who was serving breakfast ordered us to check out at 11am, although the check out time is 10am to noon and she was talking to us as if we were her servants. The furniture in the hotel is really old and well, we're used to affordable accommodation, but I've never stayed in a hotel that is so far away from value for money. The tv was there, too, however only 2 or 3 channels were working... You always had to leave your key at the reception. We literally tried to stay outside as long as possible in order to spend as little time in the hotel as possible. Overall, a completely unpleasant experience. We planned to stay in this hotel on our way back from Lisbon, too, however we already booked a different hotel. Stay away from this hole.

The distance of the hotel from Termini station doesn't correspond to what was written on the description: it's not 50m, but at least 500 (map helps)... My single room was half of the single bedroom pictured on website and thin walls let you hear everything in other rooms...what most disappointed me was the fact that the hotel has particular "rules" not written and not known before arriving there, like no guests in rooms (even just to use bathroom) or no guests in the hall after 21.00 (you can be extremely silent, but they'll rudely kick the guest out after 21.00, while people in rooms can watch tv aloud even after 3.00am)... The only receptionist always kind are the foreign ones, the others didn't even answered to my "good morning"... I have strong stomach, survived everywhere without problems, but here I had to give up against tap "potable" water: I drank it twice and twice I had nocturnal stomach cramps and daily sickness...i really hope it was only in my room n°10!!!!!!!! I knew with this price I couldn't expect anything special, but 2 stars are really too much for this hotel...really disappointed, I wouldn't advice anyone to sojourn here!!

The only thing I liked about the hotel was that one of the guys could speak English. The lady who operated the hotel didn't know any English!! The hotel room was disgusting, small and had bare minimum. It's actually 1 star.!! I would never stay there again. They charge extra to use air condition so if it's summer you'll be paying more. The hotel room was just disgusting!

The staff are very friendly, it is extremely well located, and is very good value for money. It cost me 135 euro for three nights in August. This included breakfast (which is very basic - roll/croissant, jam and coffee). The WiFi was free, and worked perfectly. It was extremely quiet at night. It is a rather unusual little hotel, being located on the 5th floor of an apartment building - but this is a budget hotel, not a luxury hotel, and for me this made it seem rather quaint and pleasantly old-fashioned. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting an inexpensive stay in Rome. The air-conditioning is an optional extra (5 euro a day) which is rather a strange way to price things. It was absolutely essential to have this as it was 35 degrees outside!

Continental breakfast good Air cond didn't work, intermittent hot water, tv had three working channels. It should state in the advertising that the hotel is only floors 5 and 6 of the building. I walked in at ground level and wondered if there was a hotel at all ! The area around the hotel was a bit dodgy after dark !

I found the staff friendly and helpful. As a solo female traveller I felt quite comfortable there. I had no problem finding the hotel from the google map directions, and it was close to the Termini station. The La Familgia restaurant in the same street was good and not expensive. For around 50 Euro for a single in Rome, I think it was good value. For that price, I expect basic, but it was clean and the room spacious, so I wasn't disappointed. Yes the lift is small but typical of these older buildings in Rome. You have to pay extra for aircon...5 Euros, but that was my fault...it says it very clearly on the booking.com website hotel info. WiFi is free and works well in the room. There is a nice balcony with tables and chairs off the breakfast room. The breakfast is very basic...a bread roll and I think it was a croissant in a plastic package. The bread roll and cappuccino were very good, but I have had better variety at other budget hotels, so would rate this a bit poor. Still, it was enough...and the owner who looked after the breakfast was really nice and friendly.

I found the hotel great! it was friendly and there is not one thing I can complain about! my room was cleaned every morning and the staff was so helpfull in every way. The location was fantastic and I would recommend this hotel to anyone that decides to go to Rome and if ever I get the chance to go to Rome again I would not hesitate to stay in Hotel Domus Mea. There is nothing I didnt like about this hotel! at first I didnt like the idea of not having my own keys to my hotel room to come and go as I pleased as you had to hand your keys in every time you leave and you have to buss down stairs to get back into the hotel but after a few days of getting use to it..... it was not an problem.

Ben poco Al mio arrivo mi è stato detto che la carta di credito "non aveva funzionato" e la camera prenotata non c'era più. Pregando, supplicando, arrabbiandomi e pagando extra sono riuscita a far riapparire dal nulla una stanza. Semplicemente vergognoso!
