Location was fabulous, the view was breathtaking, the rooms comfortable and the sisters - delightful! We were sad to leave! Breakfast was included.
We loved stay here, enjoyed the view and the place so quiet
Breakfast very early
The residence is a former mansion and many aspects of its splendour have been retained for guests to enjoy , such as the large rooms and gardens amidst splendid cliff top views of the Bay of Naples. The host sisters are most welcoming and friendly. Relax and enjoy this wonderful abode.
Breakfast was basic but adequate for a start to the day.
Excellent location to Piano di Sorrento and the great restaurants on the beach away from the crowded town of Sorrento. An easy walk to the train and bus stops. The Sisters were very hospitable.
The location and the quiet.
There was nothing to dislike.
View from some rooms, rooftop patio and other spots was million dollar, while price was very affordable. Large room and bathroom. Nuns were helpful as possible, given language difference. Good restaurants in walking distance either direction. Excellent jump-off place for Sorrento, Amalfi, Capri, Pompeii, etc.
20 min walk to train station and "downtown" Sant Agnello. Cab recommended for luggage or tight schedule. Odd collection of threadbare towels, some better suited as cleaning rags. Skimpy, but adequate breakfast, should add more variety. Noise till 10:00 on street side.
We loved having our wine while sitting in their lovely garden and enjoying a wonderful view of the Bay..
When you step outside the door, you are almost in the road. One has to be extremely careful when walking.
Location and view
Having a curfew
Beautiful view and nice staff
The rooms are extremely out dated and their are strict rules to follow. Very misleading that this was a hotel, instead it is run by a church and the nuns are the staff.
Nice balconies to sit out on overlooking the sea. Excellent location Calm, peaceful atmosphere. Special and different.
Our room overlooked a busy, noisy street: ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the sea. No kettle or tea making facilities in room. Minimal breakfast.
Breakfast , The view is amazing
Wifi is expensive
Staff was not very accommodating, room was not clean when we arrived,(broken glass and dust on floor.) Beds were very old and short. Breakfast was minimal to say the least, not even real coffee. I would not recommend this accommodation to any age group of traveller.
The wonderful views on the sea, beautiful garden, friendly staff.
Convenience traffic noise, since the windows of the room facing the street so the absence of the possibility of a relaxing holiday, monotonous breakfast.
Position brilliant Great views
Bed squeeked Breakfast
Location was impressive Different from usual hotels Calm and friendly atmosphere A great palace on a astonishing location and nuns that make you feel home Clean
Wireless in rooms often interrupted with weak signal Breakfast rather poor Rooms need some refurbishing
Ambience Garden View Location
Breakfast Amazing View of the Napoli gulf
Controlled hours to came and leave and just 1 hour of breakfast
The location of this place is a little out of the way from the centre of Sant Agnello, but once you have the route sorted it is not too bad. The location is good for access to the train station where it takes 2 minutes to get to Sorrento (a couple of euros return) from Sorrento train station you can get a bus right along the Amalfi coast. You can also get to Naples via Pompeii and Herculaneum by train in the other direction. Our room was at the back of the convent and had amazing views of the bay with Vesuvius in the background. This also had the advantage of the room being very quiet. (worth asking for when booking as the road outside the front can be very noisy). The room itself was very pleasing with a comfortable bed, beautiful old furniture and a good bathroom with both bath and shower. We had a balcony and there was also a beautiful garden that ran around the side of the convent where you could sit and enjoy the sunset or eat your breakfast if you wished to. The nuns, and in particular Sister Clara (the only one who spoke English) were all lovely and did everything they could to make you feel comfortable. Things to bear in mind if you do plan to stay here. The breakfast is not great, but for the price you are paying is acceptable and is served from 8-9am. Access to the convent is by pressing the doorbell and you have to be in by 11pm at night. The rooms are tidied at 9am every morning and you are asked to be out of the room during this period so don't expect a lay in. There was a small portable television in our room with only local channels. Payment is by cash only. If you are happy to accept these rules, then this is a fantastic place to stay and experience the tranquillity that it has to offer. We would definitely go again. Thank you to all the Sisters for a great week.
The sisters were very helpful at the accommodation. Views were magnificent. It was nice to be away from the busy center of Sorrento. Our double room was lovely and had lots of character.
Theres a bit of noise from vespas passing on the street which was an issue for people with rooms overlooking the street.
Beautiful view of the sea. Quiet neighborhood. Nice facility, very clean.
Our room was on the road side overlooking a busy road, the traffic doesn't quiet down until after 9 pm.
- great view on Vesuv and the Gulf of Naples - nuns are overall friendly, hospitable and exerted
- very poor cleanliness: towels should be changed automatically every 3 days. After the fourth day (!) we had to complain about the towels not being changed yet. In the bathroom itself, especially in the shower, there had been mold formation on the walls and on the gaps. Further on our last day they did not tidy up our room at all... That is very poor cleanliness and really a shame! - rooms and furniture are very simple and not comfortable. - beds are worn/ sag in the middle
We LOVED this place--it is amazing! Our room and bathroom were large and beautifully furnished; the balcony outside our room had a spectacular view with a gentle breeze caressing us. The sisters were friendly, though only Sister Clara spoke English and she was a treasure!
The only downside to this place is that you NEVER want to leave it for any reason--even to eat dinner.
Very clean and loved the atmosphere, and the best view in the entire town.
The location has breathtaking views and surrounding areas are wonderful.
There are restrictions you don't normally find at a hotel such as a curfew at night and recommended times to shower. They also did not take credit card payments (i.e. cash only) even though a credit card was used to secure the booking. I discovered this in the fine print later, but it was a shock to realise this at check-in. I also didn't realise the inn was run by nuns until I arrived. Walking to and from the inn is hazardous (especially with baggage) as the road is narrow, busy and 2-way.
We loved it! It has a beautiful setting overlooking the sea. We had a great view from the balcony off of our room. The room itself was very pleasant with antique furnishings. The nuns were friendly and helpful.
