There wasn't a lot of light in the room (small windows) but for the little time we spent there, this was no issue.
Great staff, polite and flexible. The white decor with a hint of colour makes the B&B stylish and cozy. Very well served by the metro line A (Spagna and Barberini).

Clean, friendly staff, location

Donatella and the staff are excellent. They can book tours and advise on restaurants. The loaction is ideal approx 20 mins walk to Popolo Square, 5 mins from The Spanish Steps, and 2o to the Coliseum. Shops are on the front door. Just make sure when you get off the metro line you are looking for a large green double door on the Via Di Capo Le Case. its not well signed

It is almost impossible to criticise this lovely place. Perhaps the only slight downside was quite a small dining room but then this is a small hotel so to be expected.
We loved everything about the Domus Spagna. Nothing was too much trouble for Donatella and Chiara. It's beautifully decorated with well equipped bathrooms and lovely touches such as a complimentary bottle of wine. It's in a great location 5 mins from the Spanish Steps but still lovely and quiet.

The staff contacted me in advance to coordinate check in and needs. They arranged an excellent private car ride to Fiumicino for €50. We were warmly greeted. Special breakfast arrangements were made for us since we were to leave early. The room was immaculate, attractive and well maintained. A bottle of wine was there as gift as well as popourri. Excellent shower and bathroom. Short walk to Spagna metro. We were traveling with our teenage daughter-- the room was a real triple: the spare bed was also there as a chaise lounge. We travel frequently and are often made welcome, but only rarely made to feel special. I suggest women and couples travelers will like this best.

Breakfast is not the same level as all the rest (it’s good, but the rest is exceptional :) ). Anyway, nothing to be disappointed!
Customer attention is the highest possible level. The place is beautiful, in a fantastic location, comfortable, with everything you need for a unforgettable vacation.

The staff were so helpful willing to help in anyway, both the morning and afternoon staff. I wanted to thank you Millie, (the morning staff) for the extra help you provide. Very pleasant stay.

There are a few steps so you need to be able to do this. Didn't bother us at all!
Perfect Rome experience right in the heart of town. Donatella runs a first class B&B!

We had the triple room and were provided with only one key for three people. Keys are needed to enter the building at the street, to get into the Hotel, and for our room. We requested additional keys and were told not possible. When the hotel is staffed, (no set hours) we could ring the street buzzer, however for most of our three precious days in Rome, we had to negotiate our schedules around the key, coordinating our return, getting up to let the last person in at the door to the street etc. For us, this was extremely inconvenient and significantly impacted our stay. I travel a lot and have never encountered a hotel with this key limitation and for us it was unacceptable (won't return won't recommend). The paying guests should not have to work around the hotel in this way. If you are a single person or group who will do everything together, then everything else was very good.
The room was new, comfortable and spotless, the location excellent, the staff, when there, was very helpful in every way, quiet street.

Breakfast was very poor (tosted bread in packages (not freshly toasted), Nutella, few apples and bananas, cruisans and 2 types of "cakes", small glass of orange juice (available if ordered), coffee (also served by the staff). Absolutely not suitable if you have for instance flavour alergy or if yhou do not eat sweet products; Besides all that, the owner (or staff member?) of the hotel checks your movements in the extraordinary small breakfast room. Really uncomfortable feeling and we simply refused from the breakfast which we had paid for the days of our stay; The hotel is very small - 4 rooms; We were in room No. 203 - no sight from the window and although it had to be quite, the nights were noisy and early in the morning there starting the normal life, so we did not see the benefit from this; The mini safe in the wardrobe was a butafory - if someone would wish to do so, you can simply take it and go - it is not fixed to the wall or anywhere else; The hotel is positioned as a non-smoking, however, due to the fact that at the reception there is none who would control the situation, the last day of our stay was very uncomfortable, as the hotel was full of cigarett smoke and smell; Size of the room probably was more or less close to that indicated in the room specification upon reservation, however, due to the fact that it is full of faux leather pillows it appeared to be small.
Good location; Good wi-fi connection; Slippers :)

Would have preferred some savoury items for breakfast Difficulties checking-in outside 8pm No milk available Convenient stores next to the rooms aren't very good i.e. no milk so go shopping at your nearest grocery store if you are staying longer period.
Location was excellent Room was comfortable and generously spacious particularly for Rome

All was great. :)
August 9, 2014
A bit more variety for breakfast each day, and there was a bit of a smell from another floor that permeated our room at a few points which was unfortunate,
Donatella was very kind, and the location in Rome was fantastic for getting out the door and site seeing. Room was beautiful.

We thought there would be an elevator that could help my parents get up to the second floor, where Domus Spagna is located, as they are in their mid/late 70's and have a little difficulty with steps nowadays. But the elevator is TINY - never seen anything like it before - and could only fit one person and one suitcase (barely). And we still had to get our suitcases up the stairs to get to the elevator. Wasn't so easy. The place is totally worth it, but just a forewarning to plan for this…. Also another forewarning, which i had read in another review - because it is a B&B, it is on the second floor of a building shared with other businesses and residences, so it is not marked with a sign. I had no issue with this because someone else mentioned it and had researched the area on google maps so I knew what else was in the area. It is across the street from Sofia restaurant (very yummy)… so plan for this!
Very clean, comfortable and stylishly set up space: I travelled with my parents who are in their 70's and no longer interested in "roughing it". They wanted comfort and style and they got it! And the room was just enough space for 3 people, unlike some of the other places we considered that seemed really really small. Location was perfect: within walking distance of the spanish steps and about 15 min walk to the "trident" (the shopping district, along the three avenues that funnel into Piazza del Popolo), and yet on a side street so that there was little noise at night. And Donatella and her colleagues were really really nice, so friendly and helpful. My parents are very particular, and they were very happy with the accommodations, so that says something.
