Hotel Domus Tiberina  

Hotel Domus TIberina had been recommended to us by friends who had stayed there. We liked the district of Rome which it is in. We enjoyed walking from the hotel along the banks of the Tiber to the Vatican. The room was pleasant and the breakfast enjoyable. We were helped by at least three members of staff all of whom were very helpful and friendly. When the crisis of a bus strike meant no taxi could be obtained to get us to Termini railway station from the hotel, we were well advised to go to a taxi rank where we got a taxi within 10 minutes.

A very good location in Trastevere, closed to Tiberine island. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is charming and very quiet.

The negative points are: - rooms are very small , including bathroom; - breakfast is not very diversified, even very gently served; an effort on that point seems possible; - equipment was not at the top, and staff is not always able to answer questions or to act if there is a problem - it is clearly a lack of prefessionalism on that point; - room service is very poor: no bar, no bathroom cosmetics, ... - lobby is so small that you cannot even spend some time there to wait or to read; An hotel only to sleep in a convenient location in Roma.

Wi-fi connection never worked

Charming location, near monuments, shopping, many good restaurants to choose from.

Room was very small but we liked the age of the hotel and realize that this is a trade-off. One small annoyance was that there was no extra roll of toilet tissue in the bathroom. Overall, I think we would stay there again.

Domus Tiberina is located very central within Trastevere and only a few minutes away from the Jewish quarter or the Capitolino. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

The room was very small compared with other places in the same price range. The place was clean except for the carpets which have seen quite a few things. The room I was in had only a smal window facing a central vent and you could well hear what was going on on the floor and in the adjacent rooms.

Best location ever

M'ha agradat practicament tot de l'hotel, l'atenció del personal, tots els petits detalls de l'hotel, la proximitat al centre I la ubicació al bell-mitg de Trastevere , un lloc encantador, s'hi estava molt bé; petit I bufó.recomenable 100x100.

L'esmorzar era una mica minso, poca quantitat; per nosaltres suficient, ja que et preparen un deliciós capuccino I hi havia croissants, cereals I iogurts, però deixo clar que qui demani un quantiós esmorzar, no el trobarà, per altra banda és perfecte per agafar gana I prendre't un gelatto a mitg matí.

I motivi per cui ho scelto questo albergo sono stati: la sua posizione rispetto ai miei impegni, e il prezzo (era uno degli alberghi meno costosi in Trastevere). Ho trovato la colazione appena sufficiente ma comunque accettabile. La reception è aperta 24/24.

Le dimensioni della singola sono veramente minime, non c'era neanche spazio per un tavolino. Gli ambienti (sanitari, pavimento) anche se sostanzialmente puliti, avrebbero bisogno di essere rinnovati. La connessione Internet wi-fi è debolissima e intermittente. Nel complesso il prezzo pagato è eccessivo (direi di almeno un 30%), ma purtroppo questo è una caratteristica comune per moltissimi alberghi di Roma.
