The Church Palace in Rome unfortunately is run down, tired and in need of change, as were some of the staff! The room was large but scruffy. Bathroom, dated and dirty. We had a car so location not a problem but for others would be some distance to attractions and shopping. Staff were not very friendly, acting as a professional in an emotionless manner is acceptable however scowling at a guest is not. This hotel seems more interested in operating as an events centre probably better for locals.
There was free parking.....(thinking hard) The building had a beautiful facade, breakfast was comprehensive.
Rooms need a soft update. A little frigo is missing, for a 4 star superior should be in the room.
Great location at few steps to Cornelia Metro, in a fonderfull green park, a very large parking. Rooms are big, bed is wonderfull, impecably clean. Breakfast is over expectations with everything you'd like. Staff is very warm and helpfull. The is a big bar in the hall, a nice restaurant, even a church that must be seen. Overall a very good value for money and a very nice experience. We have stayed here for the third time and would come back with pleasure.
The shower in the bathroom was way too small.
Beautiful hotel, excellent restaurant, room is big and comfortable.
If I had to be critical of this hotel I could only say the rooms (the one we stayed in at least) are a touch on the cosy side, especially the bathroom which manages to squeeze all the necessities in to a small space just big enough for each to be used. The bar also closed at 11:30 pm which seemed a little early for us when returning after meals in the town - this may have been off peak times as we travelled in February.
The hotel is set in stunning grounds just off a busy thoroughfare in to Rome centre. The Metro is quite literally a 5 minute walk from the hotel and cost us 16.50 euro each for a 3 day pass - highly recommended. The hotel is decorated to a high standard with some fantastic touches. Rooms are very clean and well appointed. All in all a beautiful hotel away from the hustle of the town centre but still within easy reach.
Not really a bad experience - just a lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.
The hotel itself was extremely good, the rooms were spacious and spotless. The staff were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful, the lady who ran the bar went out of her way for us, our son was married on 14 Feb 2015 and every time we were in the bar, were made to feel extremely welcome. :) I was in touch with Sayoh (the Concierge) via email regarding booking a car from the airport and he remembered me when we arrived at the hotel - I was very impressed and it added that extra special touch. Highly recommended - we will be returning.
Location was ideal for us as we were attending a conference nearby but maybe a bit far out for visitors wanting to see Room
There is a beautiful church in the hotel and the building itself is huge.
the rooms are too hot
The location was a bit far out for what we wanted but the metro meant that places were easy to reach.
Staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful.
Password for WiFi I have got only from the 3d attempt on the reception. Previous 2 were wrong. The windows did not closed. At the midnigth (!!!, when I was sleeping) I have recieved the call from the reception with the proposal to change the room
We've been to this same hotel about 7 years ago and on return found that they've refurbished some of the parts which look even better now then they did back then. The Staff we're very friendly and helpful
Some of the staff were rude, one in particular told me to calm down and hung up the phone, he was irate and extremely rude. the food in the restaurant (for dinner) was poor.I stayed in this hotel twice before and it was lovely however this time that was not our experience.
the location, the gardens.Breakfast was lovely.
Rooms were really run down and need updating Some of the desk staff were pretty rude
It's a lovely hotel and the grounds are pretty Breakfast is good The reception has been modernised nicely
- Noisy - 4th floor very bad rooms, i changed the reservation and payed more to get a room in the second floor. - Bad Restaurant
- Bar and drinks - Wi Fi - Location
Breakfast was basic but just like any other
I have read some great reviews and not so great. However myself and my partner are very shocked at the bad reviews as there was nothing not to like. The hotel was stunning outside and inside. Everything was exactly as you see in the photos. There was no bath as previously commented however in several hotels we've stayed in there hasn't being a bath and I don't think this makes any difference to the hotel.
Under renovation, shower very small.
Rooms and location were good .bathroom and especialy shower were small ,breakfast was ample but ran out if you came after 9 AM
- Dirty showers - Very rude staff - Breakfast used to be good (2011), now its poor - Trash pick up at 5 a.m. - poor wifi
Huge breakfast room full of guests from group tours, breakfast not so delicious.. bulk produced! Staff OK but could have been a bit more nicer. I read that the area was a but dodgy.. and this was correct. Man shooting up near McDonalds on the street - 10pm ish.
Hotel was very grand to look at inside and out. Gardens were nice, OK distance to walk from the the Metro.
The hotel could really do with a spa/sauna to soothe guests after all the walking around the city. Free WiFi in the rooms would be nice too.
This hotel exceeded our expectation. The staff were very helpful and a the room was very clean and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the breakfast buffet, so much choice and everything seemed freshly prepared.
Lack of internet connection in the room. Room very small for value.
Staff very polite and helpful. Location is ideal.
Smell of the sealant.
No hassle to guests
The bed was very stiff and was uncomfortable on our backs.
There was a really nice free breakfast with lots of great options. The place was off the street a little bit which made it nice and quiet. It was close to metro stop so it was really easy to get around from there. Lastly, there was a huge grocery store really close which allowed for affordable drinks and snacks.
The front desk staff could have been a little more friendly. The rooms were really plain. The beds were a bit uncomfortable as well
The breakfast was nice. I also enjoyed being a little out of the city & catching the tube was quick and easy to the main attractions
Bathroom ceiling tiles held in place with wads of tissue paper. Paint flaking off in bathroom. Floor tiles loose. Air con very noisy. With curtains closed aircon vent blocked. Certainly NOT a 4 star hotel.
Not that friendly staff...
Very close to metro, quiet place, very clean rooms
