Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Ok breakfast (it was continental style, I like the buffet style better). The rooms were clean and had good space. Not so noisy either. It was hard to find, since it was pretty far down a smaller back street and there was no big sign. Make sure to check the map to find the house with the tiny sign on it. |

I appreciated that it was within walking distance of the train station, however, it is a 'questionable' area of town so it was intimidating after dark. The air conditioning wasn't really air conditioning. There was something hanging above the doorway that was supposed to offer air conditioning, but we never felt it. Our room was sweltering all the time and the balcony above was chipping away, dropping pieces on our balcony, while our balcony didn't look safe to use so we didn't venture onto it. The room looked nothing like the much better pictures on the website. Given Rome's sweltering heat, we were quite upset about the lack of air conditioning. We avoided going back to our room at night because no matter the hour it was too hot. |

The staff are lovely. Very helfpul and nothing is too much trouble. Very clean hotel. Breakfast is very basic but the coffee is great. Room was spacious and clean, with lovely wooden floors and high ceilings, air con worked very well. Just a really lovely hotel and great value for money. |

The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us in all our requests and also queries regarding the city. The hotel is located very close to the main train and metro station, and also very quiet at night. The gate of the hotel is not very distinctive, and do not expect too much from the breakfast, but the breakfast serves you well if you are used to Italian breakfast style, which means very simple and little. |

Excellent location, really close to the railway station (termini), the room was big, clean and confortable, had a fridge and working air conditioning. The staff was helpful and nice. The room was on the 2nd floor, but they had a lift that worked everytime just fine. They also let us keep our bags at the reception after checkout, so we could do some shopping before going to the airport at night. The breakfast was a bit poor, one kind of bread and some sweet (as in sugar) croissants, only tasteless butter or jelly/nutella, no ham/cheese, and no eggs of any kind, no cereal and the same juice everyday. The TV was small and old, the remote receiver was on its back, so I had to stand up and run to the door to change channels. It's a bit confusing to find the reception at first, as there are no signs or indications once you're inside the big front door. |

Very convenient to Roma Termini station, completely acceptable simple breakfast, a good-sized spotless, quiet room with a high ceiling. It's not where I'd stay for a vacation in Rome, but for an overnight transfer before a train to the airport, it was perfect. |

Cleanliness of rooms and air con in all bedrooms. King size beds and safes in room also a plus. Smallish bathrooms but perfectly adaquate. For a sightseeing city break it was fine. Rome hotels can be hit and miss so this for us was a "hit". |

The location was perfect, just minutes from the train station. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and showed us to our room. The room had air conditioning and a safe free of charge. It had a mini bar with reasonably priced drinks. The en suite room was of good size. It was clean and comfortable. We were given 1 pillow each but the staff were very quick to bring up an additional pillow on request. When we stepped outside there was a market so we bought fresh fruit from the stall. There are a few local bars which were friendly and convenient too. Only that it was tricky to find the door as there is no sign. The breakfast was limited as the hotel doesn't have a kitchen. |

Great and very helpful staff. Breakfast was good and served from 7 -10 every morning (cappucino included). Very close (approx 150 meters) to Termini station with all the trains, buses and metro lines. Every morning in front of hotel there was an open market with clothes, electronics, etc. Hotel has air conditioning that actually works well. Rooms cleaned daily and room/bathroom was well taken care of. Room also has small safe and refrigerator which are rare in Rome hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was pretty quiet and had very good security The choice of places to eat was not the best and the ones close to Termini station are tourist food at tourist prices. However, we found one place, trattoria Andrea that is frequented primarily by the locals with good food at reasonable prices. Their panini (sandwiches) are really good |

The facilitiy, service and location were excellent. It is safe and quiet. The three brothers who operate it were very helpful with directions. I could not get wireless internet from the hotel. My laptop worked before and after but not there. My computer said it was a "network problem." Two of the brothers were usderstanding, but the problem was not corrected. I used Internet Cafe instead but if I had counted on sending work documents I would have been in a pinch. |

While the building looks nondescript, the hotel room itself was modern and spacious, and the breakfast room was very pleasant. Staff were helpful. Lovely thick towels! |

I chose Hotel Domus Praetoria after extensive research into Rome lodgings, and I was not disappointed. The Hotel is ideally located for walking as well as public transportation. The staff is not only extremely competent, but likable. Our room was newly and tastefully remodelled, and spotlessly clean. Finally, we had the option to open our window to the sounds of the City, or close the double paned windows for almost complete quiet. |

This was very tidily kept small and simple hotel whose staff was very helpful and polite. The location was good. With a five minutes walk to Termini station you could reach the rest of Rome pretty easily. |
