Air con ,bed, and noise early in the morning they we're put in up markets every second day and of corse the shower way too small unless you are 4.5 and 45 kilo of weight just a joke
-Family owned business -Close to Termini station -They took our bags to our room -If we had an issue, they actually listened and worked on a solution
-Tiny elevator -Neighbourhood can be a bit seedy at night.
Very helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed in quiet room. Easy walk to two subway stations. Would stay here again.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good spacious rooms and very comfortable. In a great area close to the train station. Excellent value for money, would definately stay again.
Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Staff were helpful and friendly, our room was clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious and the coffee great! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel or return next time I'm in Rome.
A kettle in the room would have been useful.
The location was very close to the train station and convenient for our day trips to Pompeii/Sorrento. We were not out late at night, but the area seemed perfectly safe at the times we were out. There was a Tabbac across the street, less than a block away, where we bought metro tickets on our way to Termini. The staff was friendly (nice touches like lending us an umbrella when it rained), and we appreciated the breakfast coffee and pastries in a cute courtyard setting. We had a relatively large triple room on the street side.
No significant issues...one morning they started setting up the market shops outside our window and it woke up my husband. Also, the shower was small but worked fine.
Very convenient small hotel, next to railway station, Terravision airport transfer and Metro, ideal for travelers. Friendly staff, basic Italian breakfast, nice price.
Amazing staff Great location - close to Termini Station Lots of hostels around Spacious room
This was my second time staying at Hotel Domus Praetoria. Both experiences were great overall, however on the 3rd day in, the toilet began to smell a bit strange. I am not sure if it was a plumbing issue or if this issue is common in Rome.
The staff was very willing to answer any questions and the location near the Termini station was perfect. Also the multiple locked areas you ha to go through to get to your room gave a sense of security.
The bed was quite stiff and the air conditioning rattled profusely.
Rooms are clean and big Very good location and near to termini We had two rooms, one double and one triple. Double room has big bathroom but triple one has a small bath
Very small elevator Breakfast was simple and repetitive
Very friendly staff, family run hotel. Clean and quiet hotel. 5 minutes away from Termini Station. Several good restaurants nearby. Ideal location for exploring Rome.
Location-close to Termini station, airconditioning, polite staff, clean. Good to hide from the hot city during summer :)
Design of the room (there were all basic things needed, but with no particular style) Could be some "salty" stuff for a breakfast as well, like cheese and ham (as for tourists).
Friendly, helpful staff that speak fluent English. Good breakfast. Very, very quiet even though it is in central Rome. Short walk from Termini station.
Wifi is slow and spotty.
location, the only reason why anybody should choose this hotel. the matress is not bad
the reviews on internet are unrealistic and do not describe the hotel. This is a very modest (1 star) hotel. Actually it's one floor of a big building rather than an hotel. There is a non working internet, a very modest breakfast and the rooms are quite depressing (they all have a windows on an internal small courtyard). Not particulat clean. The hotel is expensive for what it offers, even in Rome
nice and helpful staff
- open yard where customers could sit and rest were still closed, - breakfast was quite poor
Cool, quiet rooms. Handy to public transport.
the location is perfect, next to the Termini station, both airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) in one hour to reach by using of many options - busses or trains, metro is also available for travelling around the city. no need to rent a car, so you can save on that.
the room was tiny, no even a small chair to sit, only a bed. but in general its nothing to complain about.
Second time I have stayed here and can't recommend it highly enough. Prime location. Clean. Comfortable. Very friendly staff. Perfect and excellent value for money.
Nothing - it was ideal.
Clean, safe and comfortable hotel, good location. Responsive personnel, ready to help with all your requests and problems. Recommend this hotel for those staying in Rome.
Breakfast is somewhat meagre, but good for those who are not used and do not want to eat a lot in mornings.
It is located within less than 5 minutes of Termini (Train, Metro & Bus Stations). You could not ask for a better location! It's also within walking distance of restaurants & cafeterias. The managers & staff are the best. This is our third stay there & we have recommended it to friends who were equally delighted to stay there.
The road works that were going on but this should be over by now.
The excellent managers & staff
Location was great for sight seeing, restaurants and other conveniences. Staff was very good and continental breakfast was very adequate.
One of the rooms was extremely cold for a day or more. Intermittent heat did not seem to warm the room for a long time. I think it had been a room left vacant for some time. Our other friends did not have the same difficulties.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, close proximity to Sapienza University
Bathroom was crammed and only had very dim lights
Our trip didn't turn out quite as we had planned because my husband was not feeling too well. As a result we spent most of our 4 days in Rome in and around the hotel. There is certainly a lot going on if you like big city bustle, with an itinerant market on the street on weekdays. There are lots of places to eat that are reasonably priced but hours of operation vary. The staff were courteous and helpful and if I were to ever go back to Rome, I would not hesitate in staying there again.
I can't really say there was anything we didn't like. If someone does not tolerate noise than this isn't the place for them, but that was not an issue for us.
Helpful staff Great location Safe & secure
