It had a great feel to the place and made the trip to Rome a very different experience. When you leave the ancient city and walk back towards santa croce it just has a great feel as you walk through the corridors and flights of stairs yet it still has touch of modern to it. Very different from a normal hotel, great character and well worth the mons!! oh and some people complained about the beds. yes they are hard but i loved them. one of the receptionists was a bit strange but apart from that we had a great stay. |

The hotel is located not very far from the city centre but it is not a walkable distance. However, it is close to S. Giovanni tube station and local bus routes. It is very clean and serves nice breakfast. The most amazing part is that it is a converted old monastery and attached to a church. That element gives the hotel a very interesting characterstic. Overall we were very happy we stayed there. Since the hotel is attached to a church, hotel guests have to pass through weddings or funerals arranged there. It is not that bad but it can make you feel a bit uncomfortable |

A different and unusual stay. You are in monastary and a hotel at same time; a conection with past times. Constantly renovision because the building has cenduries of history. |

Great value for money. The hotel is actually within the church, surrounded by history and such a beautiful building. Breakfast was great, not a massive selection, but plenty of quantity and quality! Very clean rooms. Very helpful staff. Easy walking distance from the metro and all the sights. |

The service was excellent, very nice people that will be happy to help you and answer your questions about places in Roma. The hotel is located in the center of Roma, about 2.5 Km from the coliseum, and 800 meters from the San Giovanni station metro. I fully recommend to stay at this hotel ! There was no wireless internet access. |

Very good location, impressive building, terrace with city overview on the 3d floor. Spirit of the acting abbey and church, old paintings on the walls and nice staff. The room is very modest, as well as breakfast. Even floor towel were given to us only once during the five days:) Doors are very thin, you can hear everything from the corridor.Internet is chargeable and expensive. No restaurant or bar inside, but you can find in surroundings a lot of places to eat or drink. |

The location of the hotel was good, the fact that the hotel was situated in a church created a different atmosphere (in a positive way). Because of a big restoration of the hotel there was a huge stage in front of the hotel. The view from the window of our room was therefore blocked. |

Wonderful setting amongst the history of Rome. The room we had was superb and the roof terrace views were great. Breakfast was a little plain but plentiful. One needs to take note that this is a working monastery hence no bars.Mini bar in room though. |

Location great. Easy access to all Roman sites and easy use of subway and bus system from here. Good breakfast. Important: Request a room on the courtyard side. The rooms are larger and the hallways make you feel like your in a monastery, since you really are. The courtyard rooms are far superior to the street side rooms. No one told us that there was a difference between rooms on the street and the courtyard. Ignorance was bliss, until we discovered the other side of the hotel and wished we were in that part where the rooms look out onto a cool tree lined courtyard as opposed to a hot street with no shade. Thank goodness the air conditioning worked very well. I suspect that Internet bookings get inferior rooms. |
