Personnel, beautiful view, swimming pool with thermal water. Good connection with the port - buses 12, 13, 7. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast is also very good! :)
wifi works only near the swimming pool...
It's hard to believe don fillipe was so reasonably priced for a traveller on a budget.seemed more like a 4 star motel. I was spoilt. Everything from walking in to leaving was just perfect. Didn't swim in pool preferred the sea just down some steps across the road.advise to go on cd & CS bus what a journey what views just put your life in the hands of bus driver.
Only one thing I didn't,t like-didn't,t stay longer.met another Aussie girl staying 4 2 weeks! How I envied her. Maybe would have liked room with view but maybe they were for families.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Thank you for your hospitality. The view of the Castle and the sea was outstanding. It was very hot in Ischia but at Don Felipe there was a constant sea breeze making it very pleasant to sit around and have a nice cold drink. The room was spacious (a plus for Italy) and very clean with good air con. It was a bit out of the action but for us it was perfect. We walked down to the Castle and there were plenty of restaurants nearby to have lunch etc. I wished we had more time to explore the area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as there are buses and taxies available at a reasonable rate to take you down to the town.
Nothing to comment on
The location is beautiful, at walking distance from the center (there is a shortcut which speeds it up even further) and from the beach of cartaromana. The place feels homey, not pretentious at all, with a good quality-price tradeoff. My friends got the balcony-sea view room which was amazing, while our garden view was a bit disappointing. Don Felipe is very friendly and tends to sing in the morning, which is really beautiful (unless you had a long night before).
A couple of umbrellas on the terrace and by the pool would make them more enjoyable during the sunny afternoons. Cappuccino seems made from a machine, not up to the Italian standards. Espresso was OK.
Don Felipe is a charming old man and the hotel is beautifully situated with a wellkept garden and a nice pool. Very peaceful and quiet.
I liked the friendly attitude of the staff. They did everything you asked for with joy, nothing seemed hard for them to do for you. The room we got was spacious enough, very clean and with the best view in my life. The breakfast was delicious - freshly made capuccino, bread, salami, croissants... The thing I liked the most was the terrace and the swimming pool with very clean water. I would really recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to relax and spend some time watching the most charming view.
The staff, place is family run. You can walk down to a beautiful beach access, it's a little precarious, but remote and quite and the water is amazing. One of the greatest places to swim in the Mediterranean. It also has a small but beautiful heated pool with an amazing view of the ocean and the castle.
WiFi is only in the lobby. Breakfast is not great, though you get some coffee, some bread, cold cuts and cheese or cereal. It's just nothing special. It's tough to get to. You have to take a cab for 12 Euros, you can walk if you feel like an adventure. You can also take the bus, which is cheap and stops right in front. There are only a few restaurants in walking distance. They are good but not open late. There is nothing else around, so this is a good place to just go relax, swim, and eat. To do any tourism or shopping, you have to get down to the town areas of the island.
There is an amazing atmosphere in this place. Everything is perfect.
This is best described as a charming hotel/guest house. The room was well appointed and the views were stunning out to sea. An ample sized balcony to savour a drink as the sun set and the breakfast was lovely.
Parking was a short distance away which required driving up a very steep ramp and negotiating a very uneven surface. Also this is most definitely not a good location if you were wheel chair bound as there are lots of steps to negotiate.
Very nice location and fantastic view of Castello Aragonese. Friendly and helpful personnel. Very good value for money. Highly recommended!
The location is great, but a little bit far from city center, where you can find cafes and bars or buy some food and wine. Cartaromana harbour is amazing, but if you prefer parties etc., this place is not for you.
The only way to reach the hotel from Casamiciola is a taxi for 20 euros.
The view was excellent (sea and Aragonese Castle),clean in the room, very beautiful terrace.
Far away from city center, poor breakfast without fruits and vegetable, cold in room.We had to insist a lot until the owner found a solution in order to warm up our room.
