Overlooking Florence Cathedral and Baptistery, Hotel Bigallo is right in the heart of Florence's historic center.
Score from 604 reviews Very good
Set on a side street just behind the cathedral, Hotel De Lanzi is near the shops and main monuments of the historic center of Florence. The simply furnished rooms have private bathrooms.
Score from 728 reviews Very good
Set on 1 of the upper floors of a 19th-century building, Hotel Andrea is in Florence city centre, a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Train Station.
Score from 390 reviews Good
The Ambasciatori is an elegant hotel next to Santa Maria Novella Church in Florence's historic center, a 10 minute walk from the cathedral. Its soundproof rooms offer air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 897 reviews Very good
Location is everything, and this hotel's location is perfect. From the train station, walk directly across the street, go right and walk to the corner stop light. Then turn left, and it's about 10 minutes ahead at the far side of the Piazza Indipendencia. It's also a ten minute walk to the historic quarter (from the hotel, walk about half way back toward the train station, then follow signs to the left.) The building itself is rather old--what historic buildings are not?--but the gorgeous Murano glass chandeliers in every room give it a wonderful stately appearance. On a trivial note... loved the shampoo packets scent.
Wish wifi would have been free. Breakfast was crowded and a bit bland. Consistent line up at the lone coffee machine.
not so much varieties on the breakfast
Good sized room, high ceiling and nice furniture. Convenient bathroom. Situation in Florence excellent.
Rather chaotic breakfast of large number of people serving themselves in a small space, over flowing into a very pleasant but exposed garden. Rooms could be noisy and mosquito prone
ancient and well-equiped
Noisy air conditioning, stain on bed spread (pointed out, but not replaced) noisy sports teams, below average breakfast
Good location , just 5 min walking to the centre, big room with big comfotable beds and big bathroom. Not very new one, but still nice.
Breakfast could be little better, but for this price is still OK
Tranquility Cleanliness Design A real Italian hotel
Good location, a few minutes walk from the train station and not too far from the main sites. Spacious room with ornate ceiling and lovely bathroom with large bath. Helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast.
Pigeons in the outdoor breakfast seating area.
Nothing. There were no issues with this hotel.
Its a nice hotel good location good breakfast
you have to pay for everything, wifi, locker, luggage storage,...
We had a nice room, and I'm glad we were not close to the restoran, because someone who ate, could see everything in my room.
Breakfast poor,Aircondition couldn't be stopped by myself... only from the reception!?!?!?! It was freezing! The receptionist didn't want (know how) to turn it off..... dissapointed also about Parking!!! Receptionist offered me parkin for 30eur only for the night, and it cost 20eur actually....almost everywhere...
Lovely building, quiet location, friendly staff.
Poor breakfast, served until 9.30am. Hundreds of mosquitoes in Florence!
Good size room
No air conditioning
Good location. 10 minutes walk from station and 15 from Duomo. Found staff to be friendly and helpful, they gave us an available room when we arrived early for check in and helped us with our luggage. Good continental breakfast which staff constantly replenished. Website said we would have to pay for Wi-Fi however on asking found we could have free access in the lounge area which we appreciated. Room was clean and quiet with a modern clean bathroom. Would stay here again.
"Wifi" is available" means that the internet is actually priced.
only positive, the distance of the hotel from the historical city center
- the reception personel was very rude and negative to any demand. - the breakfast was extremely poor for a 3 star hotel. - hotel's pictures on internet do not depict the reality. - no good cost-quality relationship, it was very expensive (no parking, no free wi-fi, no good breakfast, e.t.c.)
The Hotel is stately tho somewhat worn and the room was very spacious. The location is within walking distance of most key attractions but pleasantly on the perimeter. Concierge was very helpful in obtaining sightseeing tickets, but at the same time a little intimidating.
Odd older door latch was not explained in advance and we locked ourselves out of the room.
