The service was amazing- my husband was looking for the computer, but it was put away, no worries, we would use it tomorrow; not here! They were right there insisting they get the computer for him- absolutely superb service! Always wanting to help us! They suggested and booked an amazing place for dinner and were always there if we needed anything, even an escort to make sure we got to the cab okay! Breakfast was amazing! The best buffet I have ever seen- eggs, bacon, crossiants, pastry's, lots of fresh fruit like strawberries, bananas, melon, apples, and kiwi, toast, lunchmeat and cheese, yogurt, cereal, twinkies...LOL, Juices, milk, coffee- far surpassed all the other places we stayed at. The rooms are recently renovated so from the 2 I saw they were hardwood floor and a modern decor- quite nice! Air conditioning was a blessing too! We wanted to be near the colloseo- though we couldn't see it from our room it was only a few feet away and you were looking right at it. Not really anything to complain about- for me the room was a little manly, but I think my husband appreciated the change for once...LOL! |

Accomodations and staff excellent. Perfect location for touring Colosseum and Forum (short walk). Very close to Metro Station. Good restaurants in walking distance. Did not have a car so parking not a problem for us. But would check into that if I did have a car. |

Central position: walking distance to Colosseo (15min) and very close to the subway. Nice restaurants and bars around. Nice atmosphere, rooms and hall renovated. The best breakfast I had in the hotels booked with Booking.com (not the best in my life, but still appreciable and not touristic stile). Staff gentle. Clean rooms. Small rooms but still acceptable. There is not view from the hotel windows: my room was at 3rd floor and the view was on houses around. These 2 points are quite normal due to the central position of the hotel. Public works on the streets around makes the access difficult without a GPS. |

It was nice clean hotel not far from Coeseo. The room was extremely small. Internet was free of charge, which is nice. |

A surprisingly nice hotel, good breakfast, good service, friendly staff. Not my preference regarding bed (hard), and very small room. No view from window. |

The location was excellent - just a short walk to the Forum and Colosseum. Not far from the tour bus stops either. Nice restaurants nearby and a gelato shop on the doorstep! Staff were unfailingly helpful and the "double-double" glazing kept the noise out. |

The balcony was the most pleasing feature. The room was pleasant and comfortable. Easy access to restaurants, Bistro's supermarket, internet cafe etc. Would have liked tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. We understood that the hotel was having renovations done while we were there, and the gas mains outside prevented our taxi from comng to the door. Also we were on the 4th floor and the lift broke down for a day and a half. Our review had to take these things into consideration but we liked the hotel very much. |

Close to everything, excellent accomodating staff, quiet, authentic, charming. Stay in the annex-terra cotta floors, wood beam ceilings, silk padded walls, marble jetted tub, refrigerator, stove and sink in our room, skeleton keys- built around the ruins of an ancient building. Cappucino included! Some mildew in bathroom, view was of others balconies. Breakfast was mediocre (stay away from the eggs and meats!). |

I like that room - cosy and quiet. It is great hotel for a romantic weekend. Location is wonderful, very close to metro and Coloseum and main tourist attractions. In bathroom the bath was block and water didn't flow. |

We thought the hotel was wonderful, staff were very friendly and did their best to help us, even letting us in our room 3 hours early. Room itself (in the annexe) wasnt overly large but was very clean and the decor was very romantic, bathroom was great with jacuzzi bath. The breakfast was great, fruit was lovely and fresh and the waiting staff were very efficient. The safe in the bedroom was a little difficult to get the hang of but once we had sorted this out, everything was fine. Although the room was romantic, the low light was sometimes a little bit too low so a further light or dimmer switch would have been great. Although there was alot of variety of food at breakfast, there could have been a lttle more hot food. |

Good insulated windows facing the street,95% noise blocked out at very noisy times.Breakfast good. rooms need better noise insulation between each other,as I could hear another guest's snoring in the room next to mine one night.toilet brush holder needed to be cleaned as it emmited a foul smell into the bathroom |

location, location, location.. we were perfectly positioned to walk the entire city, close to major attractions, comfortable room, very helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Nothing really, except for one night when rowdy party groups at a nearby restaurant/bar kept us awake until about2 a.m. But it happened only once and on balance the hotel is very quiet |

duca d'alba is in an amazing location, near all the main sites, its also opposite a metro station making it easier to get around and find the hotel. the staff were very helpful and very polite. The room was clean and well presented. overall we had a very good stay at this hotel and would definately reccomend it. the shower was very small but other than that was near perfect for a short romantic break. |
