The San Frediano is located in a 15th-century building 110 yards from the Ponte alla Carraia. It offers free Wi-Fi, a peaceful garden, and spacious, elegant rooms with original frescoes.
Score from 63 reviews Good
Very close to train station and walking distance to many sites and restaurants.
good location, close to train station, free wifi
It was very close to the train station and center of town.
bed is really small even for a petite person, can easily hear people from rooms next to me which happens quite often in this kind of hotels.
the location is really good. It is near the train station and the bus station, so it is easy to go to the mall and travel to other towns such as Pisa. There are at least four Chinese restaurant nearby so my parents can eat well during our stay. It is also not very far away from the majority of the tourist attractions so no public transportation is needed if you choose this hotel.
Wifi is good near the door, or there would be no wifi. Room is spacious but old and full of mosquitos. My parents did not sleep well one night so the next night we spend three hours killing mosquitos. At least 11 mosquitos were killed and then we had a good sleep that night. The product offered by the hotel to avoid mosquitos just have little use.
Room was pretty big enough for 4 persons.
Mosquitos killed us. Breakfast was too simple. This hotel is good to pick and stay there just don't forget to have something with you for mosquitos.
close to the train station not expensive staff was helpful and understanding for a later check out due to early morning business
very small and dark room, had a bigger height and than width, not the best wifi connection, no view
Location close to train station, clean room and bed, safe to put items in
WiFi was slow when working Shower may have been mouldy
Kindness of the staff
breakfast very poor quality - not worth the extra money
Location ! 1 mn from train station ,1 mn from McDonald and burgerking .. 10 mn from duomo ,museums and shopping streets. And the receptionnist was really nice with us.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station and a short walk from many Florence attractions. The staff nicely coordinated parking our car at an off site location (for 20 euro per day).
The bathroom had a very unpleasant odor throughout our visit. The 5 euro per person breakfast was very disappointing. Save your money and get breakfast at a nearby bar or McDonald's. WiFi was frustrating and only worked near the door.
Air conditioning, very close to the bus terminal and walking distance to the San Lorenzo leather market and main food market. Location was probably the only good point.
The person at the desk wasn't very nice. Bathroom was a bit small and had some mildew/mold. Elevator was very old and didn't seem reliable. This was a two-star hotel, could have gotten better three-star-and-above hotels for only a bit more.
Great place to stay ... close to the main train station.... and safe for tourist.... facility is old but well maintained ..... really cconfortable.... I will recommend this place to other people.. and would be more than happy to come back..
Location, 5 mins to the main train station
the old lift only can take 2 persons each time
Near to train station as well as walking distance to Duomo.
Except the location which is very close to SMN station, nothing else is appealing.
The staff was uncourteous. The air-conditioning in the room was not working and it didn't feel like a safe place. Thankfully we had to spend only a few hours as we had to take an early morn flight.
Location is near main train station.
The room is quite old.
Great Location! Near train station and main conference center. Very convenient to conference center. Arrived early and room was available for early check-in which was very nice. Wi-Fi was included and mostly reliable. Overall, not fancy, but very nice for business travel when you are at the conference center all day.
Room was nice for an older converted mansion. Bathroom and shower were therefore a bit small. Being near the train and bus station, it was a bit noisy as buses would park outside starting about 6am. Elevator was quite old, so steps are fine most of the time.
Location excellent. Next to the station an within ten minutes walk from the artistic center!
Wasn't expecting to find the hotel on the second floor of a building. Room and furniture were a bit old-fashioned. The wi-fi connection was terrible, but apparently this is a common problem in Florence city center.
Location was great
Very old, dirty, and dumpy room. There is a club outside the window that blasts music until 3 am. Made for a pretty terrible experience.
Cleanliness, room size, comfortable pillows. Convenient location, nice and helpful receptionist - Isabela. Good value for money, particularly for a 2star hotel.
A bit of a noise coming from traffic, but nothing unbearable
Good Location, best value
location, great deal for this money
seemed a bit dark in the room
