Hotel information
The hotel was built in the 1959 from Family Borghese, when the ski resort was very small and the only lift was Punta Jolanda chairlift. The road coming from the bottom of the valley finished just in front the hotel. Now, after half a century, the road continue ahead for 4 km more, but Punta Jolanda chairlift is still the only lift departing from the village.
During the summer, the hotel and the local mountain guides company organise daily walks to the upper Lys Valley. Appreciate the natural beauty of the local fauna and flora and the historical, architectural and cultural characteristics of the region. Joining the group is free of charge for hotel guests. The groups leave every day from 17 July to 31 August.
Food & beverage
Our Chef will prepare for you the typical dishes of Aosta Valley and Italy's traditional cuisine. Simples recipes are elaborated in order to offer you new flavours and authentic gastronomy.
Area information
The hotel is located in Gressoney la Trinitè, at the Punta Jolanda Chairlift departure. It is situated in the centre of the big ski resort of Monterosa Ski, where, in the winter, you can reach on the Ayas-Valley (Champoluc) as well as the Sesia-Valley (Alagna) on skis, by crossing Pass Bettaforca and Pass Salati respectively.
Also cross-country skiers can enjoy two three-kilometre-long tracks in front of the hotel. The offer of the resort is not confined to traditional skiing, in fact, off-piste skiing is getting more and more popular thanks to numerous beautiful routes in all three valleys of the ski resort.
In the summer is possible enjoy many other disciplines and sports activities:
- The ”vie ferrate” (routes with fixed ropes, iron steps, and more) and the practice walls.
- The golf course
- The riding ground in Gressoney-Saint-Jean
- Sports fishing along the Lys River
- Sporthaus, with swimming pool, squash and basketball, artificial wall for climbing and fitness centre with sauna.
In the village, other facilities like tennis, volleyball, five-a-side football and bowls are available.
Travel information
By Car:
From Milan:
- Take the A4 motorway.
- Exit at Santhià.
- Continue towards Aosta - Mo Blanc.
From Turin:
- Take the A5 motorway Turin - Aosta.
- Stop at the tollgate at Pont St.Martin.
- From Pont St. Martin, follow Gressoney valley's regional nr. 44 Gressoneyla Trinitè (which is 33 km away).
- Keep to the direction of the lift.
- The hotel is situated on the right-hand side.
