Well-situated by Ducal palace in Parma and opposite supermarket. Short walk through lovely park to the centre. Sad it has no view onto the park. Good sized well-equpped rooms and excellent aircon. A good base for visiting the city for a night or two. No doubt in normal times it's busy with conferences and business, but in August it's ideally quiet.

We arrived very late, but the man at reception gave us recommendations on where to go find a restaurant that was still open. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of options and was good. It's a little further from the center than I expected, but not too far to walk.

I appreciated the front desk staff. They were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. I was quite disappointed by the "american breakfast". First of all, cut up fresh fruit was few, on Monday not even offered. Canned food available, but since this hotel is in Italy, it's a shame they don't offer fresh fruit. Hot water for a cup of tea was never hot, more lukewarm. Coffe was quite disappointing.

The bedroom was very roomy, great bed The bedroom decor is slightly dated. The quality of the breakfast was not of a four star hotel standard. The range of drinks available at the hotel bar was limited and very expensive

The staff was incredibly rude. I mean, ridiculously unhelpful. The location was nice by the park but otherwise somewhat industrial by main road. I would not have felt safe to stay there alone. Hotel facilities old, carpets old, looked very outdated and shabby. Mostly tour groups staying here.

Nice room and comfortable bed. Compared to other hotels in the class, the breakfast was excellent. No free wifi in room, only 30 min in lobby area.

The rooms were once very nice I would think. The reception staff were completely on another planet. The only service we got was for a person to help us to the car. When we arrived the guy turned the other way. We had our dog with us. The receptionist gave us the rules in a very loud voice bellowing across the foyer. You will not.... You will not... You must...mama mia... On and on. We were not to leave the dog in the room but we could leave him as a special favour in the room if we went to breakfast.... The restuarant was closed from the 23rd December to the 8th January, something the website omitted to state. You could not even get a glass of water if it was after 10 am for breakfast. They generously allowed you to use the internet in the lobby if you had your computor for 30 minutes a day... It was so far away from the centre, yes just a short walk through the park, a joke... Ok if you are 12 and a runner. We could not wait to leave it was very ordinary for a 4 star hotel.

Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere, reasonable sized and very clean room. Expensive wifi access. Wifi should be free (included in room price). €12.50 to find some information about the town is far too expensive.

Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Good advice about restaurants and how to get round. Perfectly located a short walk from the railway station and a delightful walk from the rear of the hotel straight into the Ducal Park, across the river into the heart of the historic centre. Lovely room, quiet and feeling quite luxurious. Excellent buffet breakfast. Only possible reservation was the limited access to WiFi. Either you paid or had 30 minutes access in the ground floor public areas.

It was easy to park the car - near the hotel or on the city-park across the road. Big rooms and big bathroom Not very nice breakfast, coffe was disgusting. The staff was even rude! During the breakfast and especially the girl at the reception desk. It was written that they have wi-fi, but actually it was free only for 30 !! minutes for 1 device and so slowly!! And no excuse according this discrepancy. The location is also not very near to the centre of the town

The hotel is well located with an 1,000 metre walk through the park to town and the same distance from the railway station. The room was clean and the breakfast good. Staff were griendly and helpful. We were told there would be snacks on Saturday evening, but there was little available with poor service and we made the wrong decision to eat at the hotel.

Good sized rooms. Parking was free. Not a 4 Star hotel- 3 stars really. 4 star price only Breakfast- 7-9a.m only;aimed at business? Norm is 0630-10:30. Breakfast- widespread (made to look impressive) buffet of very little to be fair. Area filled with not-so-fresh bread/rolls, 2 choices of cured meats (not a 4 star choice). 3 huge vases of fruit, but actually just apples and oranges. Coffee in urns...stewing away, cardboard cereals (3 choices) and the scrambled eggs were frothing (not sure why as it wasn't too hot/ boiling). "Bacon" not the best. I spend 75% of the whole year in hotels and have seen a lot better for 155 Euro a night. Worth 90 Euro at best.

The location is good. We've been to Italy for 7 night 3 we spent at that hotel, it was the most expensive hotel (60% expensive than the other hotels) we been to, and the most unpleasant, almost all of the staff are unpleasant, we received a room without any view or balcony. The whole experience was uncomfortable.

Lived up to its 4 star grading very nice decor and rooms were large and nicely furnished They say free wifi in communal areas but they then have this annoying system of only allowing 30 minutes access via a password obtained from the hotel desk. Even more annoying was the hotel staff member who refused to give me two 30 minute passwords as I needed one for my wife as well as we both have iphones and needed to check mails. Apparently you are only allowed one per room.... Ridiculous is this free wifi or not? However apart from this the hotel was fine. The walk back from town which is only 20 minutes is poorly lit in the evenings and didn't feel too safe so I would not reocmmend to single or female travellers if they are thinking of using it as a base to walk in to Parma at night.

The room and decoration were dark and out of date. The furniture was scratched and banged up. The ceiling in the bathroom was stained from water seepage. The internet was expensive. The breakfast was ordinary. I booked a superior double room and there was nothing superior about it. In fact I am not sure they gave me a superior room.

Very comfortable facilities with easy access to the city, attentive wait staff in the restaurant with an excellent menu and wine list. Very pleasant foyer and bar area. Definitely worth its 4 star rating unlike other hotels we experienced in Italy. Though tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room which was very good there was no provision of any milk or whitener. Must remember when travelling to carry our own.

A lovely hotel. It is very attractively laid out and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. We found the staff very intelligent, qualified and helpful. Our receptionist spoke several languages. The waiter in the restaurant was so friendly, informative and helpful we were most catered for in every respect. The food was excellent. As the hotel has its own parking facilities, we thought it would be more appropriate not to charge residents for parking. There were a few spaces available at the front of the hotel which were free of charge, however there was not a free space upon our arrival, we were charged to park in a less convenient place.

This place was well overpriced, the most expensive place we stayed in italy, and would have been luxurious once, but is now dated, and really not set up for the modern traveller. The room was huge and comfortable but musty and old. The Wifi was $5 euro an hour, and so slow you couldn't use it. You can get half an hour free if you sit in the lobby with your laptop, but have to pay to use the lobby PC. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from the center of Palma, and in a pretty out of the way part of town. May be good for business travellers who don't need access to the net (not sure who these would be).
