We had not understood on beforehand that you could not bring the car to the hostel. It worked out fine to park it in an abandoned mall's garage down in the city, but it didn't feel too safe and it was a bit of a hustle to repack the luggage (you do not walk 20+20 min up and down the hill if you forget something...).
I stayed in the female dorm while my husband stayed in the mixed one. Perfectly fine rooms, however, lacking some storage spaces, bed stand, and power sockets close to the bed in front of the door in the female dorm.
During our visit it was extremely warm, especially in the top bunks, so didn't manage to sleep much. Further, with all windows and doors open a lot of insects (mosquitoes mostly) came in at night. Would have benefited from mosquito nets and fans. If you're in the female dorm, make sure that the front door downstairs and the balcony door at the end of the room are open, in that way you get a slight breeze through the room.
Only 1 of the 4 female showers worked.
Very cute building, nice atmosphere, nice patio where you can drink wine and talk to other guests. Angelo is a nice host. Nice with a restaurant with descent food (especially since you do not have any other options). Amazing views if you climb the hill to the top. Good value for money, the only accommodation we could find with a few hours' notice.
Flexible shuttle service (in Angelo's car) for €1 per person (definitely needed in the heat).
