Hotel Elena    

This was our second stay, the location of the hotel is very good with a nice sea view and access to the town centre. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast on the terrace was good.

Car parking was a slightly restrictive.

The location is brilliant best place in recco. Staff really nappy and friendly.

We had a seaside view with a balcony - a great spot on the water! Breakfast room was bright and looked out along the coast and served a delicious buffet. Parking was a big positive.

Not as luxurious as the photos on the website, but that's par for the course.

The staff were very friendly. The hotels location was really good as it is on the beachfront and has amazing views, it is also situated very close to the town centre. We had breakfast before we left and there was a good variety of things to eat and as it is a buffet breakfast you could try a bit of everything if you wanted.

I find it very difficult to find any fault with this hotel and would definately go back.

Tv was small but we didn't care it's vacation !!

The breakfast was good, plenty of variety. Yoghurt, cereal, bread, boiled eggs, coffee and tea etc. The location is good, close to town and restaurants etc. Clean room.

Bed was hard, and it was only 2 single beds pushed together when we asked for a double. The constant slamming of the front door at night and early morning was so annoying!

Loved the view and handy location which was in walking distance to Recco centre and Camogli.We thought it was good value and staff was friendly and helpful.

Peaceful, beautiful town on the turquoise Ligurian Sea--like paradise. Lovely small hotel with great balcony overlooking the town, hills and bay. Lots of great take-out food to eat on our balcony. Enjoyed the 3 sets of bells from different towers. Less expensive than Portofino, and nicer. Loved it here.

Staff spoke only a little English, but we managed.

Great quiet location right on the sea; breakfast on the patio was very nice. Free parking on-site; reception staff were very helpful. Nice, large bathroom.

Not a lot of restaurants nearby. We stayed in October, so did not need air conditioning....not sure if the hotel has air.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially on reception. Clean, comfortable and superbly situated with the view of Recco, the sea and Monte Portofino. Also, that it had parking. Reasonable value for money.

It would be nice if the bar was normally manned, having the terrace beside it. Also, I think that all hotels should display the day's weather forecast at reception. These hardly count as things that I didn't like, though.

I can safely say that Hotel Elena is on the top 5 of hotels that my group have stayed at. The location is fantastic, especially for our trip, the rooms are excellent with wonderful views, the breakfast is great and this is all topped off with a caring and considerate staff who are only too keen to help make your stay a pleasure. The pictures really do not do justice to the location, Recco is a beautiful small town with numerous bars and restaurants just minutes away. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. The Hotel is very well managed and very clean.

The TV was very small and had a poor receotion with very few channels. An improvement here would make teh overall stay more enjoyable.

Had very local feel. Breakfast excellent, fresh fruit, pastries and bread daily. Very good coffee and selection of food. Great view from breakfast terrace. Private beach for hotel residents only a plus. Free on-site parking available. Nice big bathroom.

No in-room safe for our room (room rate?). Air-con present but not very effective in our room. Our room was adjacent to a public path between beach and road which compromised privacy.

The hotel is on the seafront - with all bedrooms facing the sea - and a 2 minute walk from the town with restaurants and a few shops. The staff were really and helpful and went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

I can only advise anyone who wants to visit this wonderful area of Italy to stay at Elena, the best choice ever and the best value for money. The staff is so pleasant, and the view from the rooms amazing. The breakfast on the terrace is a dream.....
