Overlooking one of the most picturesque squares in Trastevere, Hotel Domus Tiberina is next to one of Rome's most ancient bell towers.
Score from 347 reviews Good
No tea facility in room
Close to everything; ie the Basilica, taxi, eatery.
I can't think of anything that I didn't like in this hotel because although it is an old Hotel they are keeping it competitive with the hotels around the area.
Hotel is very near St. Peter's Basilica.
Bed, toilet, broken windows, breakfast.
our last 2 days we had a sewer type smell that got progressively worse. no action was taken
Friendly staff and OK breakfast. Walking distance to the St Peter's church. Quite far from Metro, but bus 64 around the corner takes you to city centre and Station Termini. 10 minutes walk for train to the airport (station S. Pietro).
Quality of WiFi, which is blamed on Telecom Italia. Limited sound isolation to neighbour room toilet.
Proximity to the St. Peter Basilica and other tourist attraction. Very good reception
25 steps to the Vatican city
Excelent position near Vatican Surrouding restaurants and pizzerias Friendly staff
Bad condition of bathroom Poor breakfast
Staff are very helpful and polite,Juan Paulo is very accommodating, facilities are available anytime... All I can say is the hotel is good and superb
The hotel is a bit old and it needs renovation, we got up early because our flight was early and we are trying to have a shower but there was no hot water
Pleasant customer focused staff always positive to people
Crowds in the vatican
Excellent location for St Peter's. and the centre of Rome
Hotel needs renovating in a big way, I stayed there 7 yrs ago , no improvements since then, needs a new plumbing system, which is noisy and lacking in hot water.
I had a depressing -small room... Too noesy..especially early in the morning (5:45). No soudproofing....every time that someone from the next or from the above floor went to wc I realy shared it with him... Too poor breakfast... After 9:00 am no coffee served nor....
Location, taxis outside the door, nice price, friendly staff. Colazione okey according to Italien style. Would recommend this to friends
Traffic outside , but I am a country girl :)
The location was great. The management was helpful.
The price for the quality of the room suggested we were paying more for location than the room itself.
Comfortable beds, fantastic location, excellent free Wifi. Plentiful Italian breakfast included in room rate. Off-site garage parking available for 25 euros a day - they come and collect your car and return it on request.
If you are looking for a more luxurious city hotel with all mod-cons, this isn't the one for you. It needs updating and is 'quirky'. However, if you want an authentic Italian experience, choose the Emmaus!
LOCATION! Five minute walk from St. Peter's Square. Plus a good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This is not a four star hotel. Lobby is tiny, rooms and bathrooms are rather tight. An old facility that has not been updated for some time.
Its so close to the Vatican, couldn't beat it. Its they type of place you know that's been there a while, a true taste of Roma, even down to the small elevator. Staff was very friendly and as helpful as can be. You should call them or write them direct for the best room rates. It isn't a 4-5 start Hotel. Room wasn't big, nor the shower but I was looking for location, cost and cleanliness which it had and was. I would and will go back in a heart beat.
The A/C was a little small, so I would leave it on only to find that the cleaning staff would turn it off. lol A very small issue.
Very nice hotel. would recommend it to anybody. Only three minutes walk to the Vatican city.
Good location - close to Vatican, Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, arranging transportation for us to airport and tours.
Not as luxurious as larger hotels, but clean and adequate.
Very convenient to visit St. Peter's Basilica
We have stayed at the Hotel Emmaus several times and it has always been a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and close to the Vatican.
This was a clean and comfortable hotel, well sited in terms of access to Vatican City. The staff were extremely helpful.
The fact that the hotel is so close to Vatican city and the staff helped us to order tickets for the tours and the opera.
The poor quality of the wifi in the room. The airconditioning did not function optimally.
Staff very friendly and helpful. I am a coeliac (gluten free) the hotel is starting to accommodate that .
Room and bathroom far too small
