My wife & I stayed for 2 nights (Sat & Sun) after a week at a villa near Arezzo. Our room was comfortable & spacious with a good bathroom and a splendid view over countryside towards San Gimignano in the north. Breakfast was fine, and the staff were friendly & helpful. The hotel's parking is a few hundred yards away down the hill, covered but without being secure, although I don't think that would be a problem in this small town. There is no restaurant as stated in Booking.com's details, but fortunately we were able to eat out in the town without booking. Not particularly easy to unload the car right by the hotel.

The views of the Tuscan countryside was amazing from the room. We enjoyed chilling out in the garden and on the terrace and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was not great, if you got up late you often did not have a full choice of items as they were not replaced when gone. Also some of the pastries were overcooked and there was no fresh fruit available.

Location is great. Views from the rooms and old setting is lovely but with more care from the staff this hotel could well improve. Nice hotel, but needs more attention., breakfast is poor (not fresh, room temperture limonade-like juice from a warm, burned, dry croissants, and lots of dried-outish dolce (4 days). Suite was slightly disappointing with a sofa tugged away in an attic, justifying the 'suite' label. Bathroom was clean but little and eg no accesoiries or soaps at all..

Nice building, parking near the hotel, situated in a great village. Poor breakfast, no view from our room (but you could use a shared balcony), air condition either on or off (air flow was pointing directly on bed, so we turned it off but it was very warm in summertime). Also you should be an acrobat to have a proper shower since the ceiling was lowering at some points to 1 meter from the ground. Outdated rooms, furniture and carpets.

The experience is unique and somewhat ethereal in that you are in fact lodging in a castle....The view is spectacular. The location is exceptionally quiet and the woman who manages the facility does a great job.... No bell hops makes loading and unloading baggage a bit of a hassle. Parking is a bit distant....but safe and secure.

Wonderful room, lovely friendly staff, fantastic village location with lovely friendly locals and fabulous restaurants. Our views from our room were breathtaking, each time you looked out of the window you were greeted with a landscape that took your breath away. The garden and jacuzzi were the perfect place to watch the sunset.

Location It woudl have been nice if they could have provided a bottle of water or even the facility within the hotel to purchase a bottle of water for overnight.

Excellent location with panoramic view, nice small town, big comfortable room with nice design, very good bathroom/shower, private parking with a few places (could be problem to get if they have more guests). Very near town center with tourist info and perfect map of the area, also excellent Enoteca with vine and food next to it. Only 20-30 minutes drive to main points of interest (Volterra, San Gimigano etc). We would definitly come back. Only fair selection of food for breakfast. Very good espresso though.

“Fulvio (the owner) stayed up for us till 02:00 because of a flight delay. So warm and welcome. International guests and nice conversations with other travellers during breakfast and the excellent diner that Fulvio serves. A real high standard of italian hospitality! Thank you for a perfect start of our holiday.” Marjorie, Amsterdam |
