Location only, upgraded room. Everything else is horrible Blanket is dirty with hair! Super Old room. Lock is just a old key. Water is oxidized! Taste metallic. Choked shower pipes n flooded after 1 min of showering. Hot water broke down on 3rd night, can't shower. What the F. Super old building and owner didn't bother to spend on renovating! Deserved to be demolished! Power socket is loose that my plug can't hold. Bed is hard. All pillows are so hard n flat that my ears are numbed when I slept sideways. They just stuff 2 flat pillows into 1 case to make it look larger. Yet when water broke down, the staff offer us at 2am to use their bathroom- was a pretty and well kept sight in their office upstairs. The mentality of the owner would be- I don't care how u complain, not me sleeping - just pay me the money- your comfort is the last thing I care - worst hotel ever!

Good location to train station with an elevator. Our room was a good size too- the bathroom looked a bit old but had double sinks. Not luxury but was a safe clean place to stay - we were able to check in early, at 10:00 am. Staff was nice too. Could be updated , bathroom and floor is old looking. They charge for additional towels - I think this is a europe thing.

My upgrade to nicer room was a very pleasant surprise. This is my second stay with this jotel and people, both times very good. The location is fantastic and now a great little super market underneath. After many weeks travelling it was fabulous having access to a kitchen and washing machine, both provided.

It is near to railways station, near to historic center, windows come out to the yard. My room was close to reception (number 1) and this was very uncomfortable because i heard everything from it, but this makes sense if you return at the hotel early (6-7 p.m.). Very unexpected mix of things in the room. There is computer, big TV, shower with massage, but there was not the door between toilet and room, now glasses. I could not use Wi-Fi.

The location is great & very near to smn station, sita & lazzi bus stations and central market. Our room is at the opposite building. Fine with a chinese restaurant & supermaket right below our residence. My double room with private toilet is large. Water pressure and air- conditioning is good. A free desktop pc is available as wifi signal is always weak at other hotels. The staff is nice, helpful and could speak English. The room is fairly clean and I killed several mosquitoes. The lift is very small but better than none.

I stayed in a single room (which was pretty big for a Florence hotel) with a nice bathroom, although most rooms had shared bathrooms. The hotel is a ridiculously short walk away from the central railway station. The hotel is in an old building which shows its age in a lot of ways, but otherwise all the facilities were working as intended. Hot water was hot. Free internet in the room was broadband and reliable. The hotel could use some polishing overall, but that would probably drive prices up. Given ease of access and facilities such as free internet, I'd say that in its current state it has a fair price/quality ratio.

Location & locaton !! This hotel is very close to the Firenze central station, bus stops, central market.... and I could walk to the Domo within 15 minutes. Perfect . I think the toilet & bathroom in room (ensuite) should be renovated. It looks old and a bit small. Otherwise, a good value of money, especially the free internet international phone call that I could made at reception, The night shift staff (Aldo) is also very nice & helpful.

Staff were very helpful on arrival organizing bookings for the museums as well as giving us an upgrade to have our own bathroom. The location was excellent - 300m to train & bus stations and the other attractions were an easy 10 min walk away. Although we didn't use it there was a computer in the room which was a great touch.

The hotel was in an excellent location, just minutes walk from tourist attractions, great restaurants, train station and shops. The staff was exceptional, very helpful right from the minute we set foot in the door, with everything, from suggestions to great food, shopping, and even attraction locations and local events. Not to mention the price was very fair. I highly suggest Hotel Ester for anyone who's looking for a wonderful experience in Florence. The knowledgeable owner was even helpful in suggesting scenic spots in the Tuscan region.

Old-fashion style hotel with amazing windows(old-fashion style).Mu window was looking to the church. The placement is perfect, 1minute from the train station and 10 minutes from the center.Big room with bright walls. TV, air condition.I had a room with shared bathroom. Bathrooms are cleaned as well.I liked it.I was staying there for 2 days.Fall in love to Florence! When windows are opened a little bit noisy. I just don't like using air-condition and try to open windows.

Good electronics-pc in room, good wi fi. Good selection of tv channels including Fox news. Very close to train station and all sites nearby on foot. Room was clean. Check in lobby on second floor. Very small elevators. Room was across street in a different building with other hotels. Common area around room was a mess---looks like extra furnishings stored in hallway or for remodeling. No breakfast, but McDonalds right next door.

Nice warm welcome by name. All staff we came in contact with were extremely helpfull and genuine. Nice family run hotel with a nice feel to it.Fantastic location-2 mins from bus/train station, close to shops, cafes, restaurants etc. Would definately return if we go back to Florence. Big thank you to Anna & Rosanna for assistance in transportation to various destinations for friends wedding. Be cautious with taxi's in Florence-drivers lack knowledge with destinations and drive around endlessly ripping you off. Everything was great. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, balcony, air con, quiet room etc etc

Ester appears to be a family run hotel, and throughout our stay we felt welcomed like guests in their home rather than customers. The room was comfortable and clean. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a computer with Internet, and satellite tv in our room (included in room rate). We had shared bathroom facilities which were clean. The only thing was that we had to walk across the reception area everytime we need to use it. Otherwise, highly recommended for budget travellers.

Pokoj duzy I czysty, komputer w pokoju z dostepem do internetu (przewodowy). W hotelu znajduje sie kuchnia z czajnikiem, kuchenka I lodowka.

“I really liked this hotel. It is in an ideal location we could see the roof of the Duomo from the hotel. The hotel is in an old Palazzo and the whole place does have a sense of elegance. I loved the quirkiness of it.” Joanna, Hertford |
