The Romantica is a small hotel in the center of Rome, between the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and Roma Termini Train Station. Rooms are large, and most have free Wi-Fi.

Centrally located in historic Rome, Suite 51 is 500 metres from the Basilica of Our Lady in Trastevere. It offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi.
Score from 15 reviews Excellent
Very good wifi, room with shared bathroom but always available because there are only like 4 rooms. The personal dont speak english, but the true is thats no problem, she is very expresive lol. The locatiom is really nice, not in the center with all the tourist and noise, but a very good distance by walk to the main atractions
litle expensive but normal for rome.
staff was very helpful
shared bathroom is a bit of a challenge
- Supersweet older couple running the B&B, no English but they are used to the standard questions and have found their way of communicating with foreign tourists. - Great location; lively area, facilities (Tabacchi, ATM, public transport just outside) - Secured apartment building
- Wifi connection not very strong
Room was ok.
First when a booked and arrived at the place didnt know it was alike a residence. For me B&B it was hotel lodge. I arrived at night and the street is empty and dark. The building is old and weird. The couple hosts dont speak english and they are not flexible about coffe hours. the breakfast its ok. But we dont feel comfortable as a hotel to eat. the wi fi in the suite is weak. I found the price not worth for the place. If you are traveling alone or with friends its good place to stay. But with family or wife i dont advice there are not metro near by. Just a tram number 8 in front that takes to venezia square.
Fantastic hosts. Close to Trastevere restaurants etc. Antonio driving us to the airport.
Noisy to sleep at night.
Good location, just a few minutes from Venezia square by tram. Good breakfast.
Owners don't speak english at all, wi-fi didn't work in my room. Very early check-out, at 10, and owners didn't give us a chance to enjoy the breakfast and pack our bags as well, they get us out of room. I think it's not necessary to do it like this.
room was very cute, clean and staff was really nice (but they dont speak ANY english). great location in trastevere, the 8 tram is right outside. very cool spot.
i booked on booking.com for a rate of 55 USD a night. when i got there they asked if i could pay cash or needed to pay on card. i told them i'd prefer card. last morning as we are about to leave the owner asks for us to pay in cash. had to go to atm across street (not a huge deal) but she charged us 192 euro for three nights (the first night was only my husband, i came the second night). so the rate ended up being 60 EURO a night, plus we got over charged one night of city tax. it wasn't a big enough deal for me to push it, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth...
Great location, very clean room and carring owners. The breakfast is good for Italian concepts. Overall a good B&B.
The two owners do not speak English. They are having (family) dinners at the B&B. This was a major turn down since we had to sleep early and get up early (03:00 am) in order to catch our plane. The B&B is very noisy due to the thin walls.
The couple that runs the place is very nice, even they dont speak good english, they helped with everything, clean and big room, clean toilette, breakfast was different everyday. location was good, colleseum walking distance, also the area of restaurants etc. bus stops at 2 blocks of the hostal, and train station trastevere is around 15 minutes walking.
Only the noise of the street in the morning, but thats Rome almost everywhere (take earplugs)
I will definitely stay here again next time if it is available. The room was spacious and even had a balcony. The bed was very good, plenty of electrical outlets, storage space and chair/table area. The bathroom along with the room was spotlessly clean. The wifi worked great and the free breakfast was a nice touch (cornetto, fruit, toast, cheese, coffee, etc). It is right in front of the tram stop, so 2-3 stops to Trastevere station and 2 to the main area of Trastevere with all the pubs, etc. Or you can wslk it in 10 min or less. The staff are very nice! I know where I'lll be staying from now on.
Breakfast was amazing, the hosts were gracious and accommodating (even despite little English speaking). We loved being close to everything in Rome without being in the midst of the tourist crowd. The proximity to trastavere was perfect.
It is on a noisy street, but the windows provide sufficient sound protection.
Renovated, fair and clean room with normal size includes mini-bar, a/c, hairdrier, big mirror, comfortable bed. Cleaning, changing of towels and very nice breakfast are provided on daily basis by very nice owners. The bathroom was always available and clean, although it was shared. We also had a balcony with table and 2 chairs and the individual clothes dryier, although the balcon is faced to noisy street. Also we appreciate the owners for late check in (it was at the midnight and I did not have confirmation that it is possible). The tram stop is right near the BB and the Trastevere train station is in 15-20 mins walking (we came by foot after coming from airport by train). Definately recommended esp. for limited budget turists or/and who preferes to stay at Trastevere area.
I think the minus for someone could be the fact that the balcon is faced to noisy street, so you can hear the traffic, however it did not disturb me at the night. No metro station is available, but still there is a tram stop in 50 metres and the Trastevere train station is in 15-20 mins. I would love to have more chat with owners, but they do not speak English at all, however we understood each other easily.
I honestly cannot fault this place! The owners are incredibly friendly and the facilities, cleanliness and overall comfort was excellent. The owners don't speak much English, but I certainly don't think that should be an expectation when visiting their country. I stayed in the double room (without ensuite) for three nights and loved it. The place is located in a beautiful area of Rome, very close to all transportation. The number 8 tram stops right out the front and can take you over the other side of the Tiber River to the city side of Rome and going the other direction it'll take you directly to the Trastevere train station (about 1km from the apartment if you opt to walk). It's located on the third floor (lift available) of a gated complex, so very safe and secure. The room itself has everything available, hair dryer, safe, air conditioning, and television. Breakfast in the morning was yummy and satisfying! I loved every minute of my stay here!
Street can be a little noisy in the mornings, but barely noticeable!
Feels very secure on third floor (with lift) of gated building. Modern refurbished rooms; very comfortable bed; tram stop directly outside for quick, easy, cheap access to Rome centre; short walk to Trastavere centre with lots of interesting places and eateries.Free wifi.
Minor point that owner and staff (who were all very friendly) had limited English and not a lot of printed information. Tv had no English channels, but we survived with internet news!
Rooms are comfortable, pleasant and clean. Owners are very friendly. Location is good, close walking distance to Trasyevere center. Very close tram station.
Owner doesn't speak English at all. Communication is difficult. Breakfast was fine but not satisfying.
Good value for money Spacious room Friendly staff Proximity to nightlife Small breakfast available
Shower was very small Staff spoke limited English but were very helpful and friendly and had someone available to translate if necessary. Room was noisy
The family owners of Esty were so welcoming and helpful. It's a small place - only 3 rooms, all bright, clean and spacious. They bring you a lovely breakfast in bread (croissants, cured meats, toast and yoghurt). They also offer a service to the airport for 40 euros - which works out to be around the same as the train (and far less effort) so definitely worth doing. Great, warm place! Definitely one to recommend.
The street is slightly noisy on one side but it's not really a problem.
Nice, gentle people, kind and warm hospitality. Breakfast ok. Nice rooms. Perfect location to visit the center. Tram 8 stops in front of the B &B.
The WiFi works bad, often no connection.. Also a bit uncomfortable that they ask to pay cash as the machine didn't work.
Very friendly, great location, absolutely recommend
It's a nice place to stay.
Personel staff doesnt know english, but helpful so it is possible to comminucate Good location Good decoration in rooms
They don't speak english so well.
