- Location in centre; - Attentive staff;
- Smell from the kitchen on the ground floor; - Small room in front of main exit; - Noisy.
-very old furnitures -no breakfast comparing to the price
When we got there, around noon, there were no room that we made reservation through booking.com.
A staff couldn't speak English at all. We communicated with Google translator. She recommended another hotel and called for us to book a room. The 'hotel' she recommended (it should be called dormitory) were very far away from center of the city. We walked 20 minutes from the Hotel Etrusca with heave luggage but there were no choice for us since we couldn't find other hotels to stay the night.
Cold water, mattress hollow, very small room, no coffee. Compared to what we got in Verona for the same price this hotel was really not up to standard!!!
The hotel has very good location near all attractions and train station. Also, hotel is cheap and thus it is a good deal for tourists with limited budget.
The room has old furniture and the bed is not comfortable. The shower and toiled are shared. We had to wait for a long time for the water to become warm. poor sound proofing.
very close to the railway station and also 5 min walk to the city center clean and nice place has facilities to make a hot water for tea
Staff Doors doesn't lock safety Taking a shower is reaaly difficult..'cause area limited No shampoo no paper towels And so on...
The situation is only the best.
The room was in the second floor (number 7 room) and the pictures of the website are very far to the real room, the bath was very small and dirty. The wall of the room was full of mildew. They didn't change the towels (we were 4 days). The TV... no comments, The wifi didn't operate. Our pillows were very slim. And the employees were very rude.
Where do I start?! We arrived mid afternoon and had to wait up to 30mins to be checked in as there was no one on reception. There was a italian number to call and we tried the office phone to call but that did not work! We were close to walking out when Mireille turned up. She apologised profusely for being late and said she had injured her ankle. She spoke very limited English. She started cringing and sighing as we complete the check-in procedure and she gave a quick spill of the places of interest and then showed us to our room. She also showed us where she had "hurt" her ankle (although it looks more like swelling and chronic skin changes rather than a bruise - we're doctors) but when we saw her within a span of 5 minutes, she was walking normally and there was no complaints about it further!! We were then told that we had to pay by cash (eventhough website said credit card was accepted). The room was very basic, burnt marks on power sockets and smelled heavily of cigarettes! We had the shared bathroom option and there was no bath mat to prevent one from slipping and the shower wall had a 'frosted glass' look as it had not been cleaned properly. Towels were supplied and they were cigarette-scented! The room was not made on the second day either. To be honest I'm not sure if it was worth the price but if you're looking for a place to stay and end up smelling like cigarettes then this is the perfect place for you!!
The hotel is in the middle of the city, the owner was very nice, let us check in earlier, showed us were to look for parking places and really was very outgoing. I would recommend the place definitly.
Everything was terrible.the bathroom, the bed,the towels .. Just waste of money.worse than one night road motels!
courteous staff, cleanliness
toilet door was only symbolic
The location is great - very close to the station - easy to find. Cosy enough - not many people - we saw some at the hotel - but seldom) wifi worked OK. There was a fridge at the reception - so we could keep water cold etc. Mirella is never at her place but always available by phone - comfortable enough!) Thank you, Mirella)
It was absolutely terrible place I've ever stayed. I think the people can find another place in same price also the owner attitudes was really bad. The room was terrible too.Im not recommending here
To alert deposit after check out
Nothing at all...
Actually in Etrusca we didn't saty as they have problem with water. However, we were placed to another allied hotel of them where we had a horrible experience in our short traveling period. The room was old, shabby and dirty with old bed sheet and blanket. There were no wi-fi as offered in the site. No light in the bathroom and so on.
The location of the hotel is good. Close to station, leather market and tourists attractions. Lady at reception was also helpful.
Our room was very small with no airconditioner.
it was just close to the train station and was quiet.
they did not replace the soap and there was no shampoo in the bathroom. The manager was very impolite and shouted several times. She was at the hotel just for 2-3 hours a day!!!! I suggest no one to go to this place. there was not clean as my friend and I were suffered from rash and acne even after 6-7 days.
Our hotel had no water so the owner took us to an alternate one. She was very friendly and made the change not too unpleasant. The Persephone was a very nice alternative. Location farther away and wifi difficult to use but friendly staff and nice room.
Washroom was small
Only the localization.
The room was not so good, doesn't have air conditional and the old lady in the reception wasn't very friendly.
Great location, central and near the train station, friendly woman on desk
It was very basic but maybe we just didn't give it enough of a chance. It was a nice place overall
Hotel (Albergo) Etrusca is a few blocks from the train station which makes it a great base for exploring Florence. Right around the hotel are a million other hotels and the touristy eateries that follow, but they have a fun communal traveller atmosphere because of the sheer number of hotels around. Florence is small, so everything is walkable from here, and the very personable owner Mirella gave us great suggestions for locations to visit. Our guidebook said *don't* stay on via Nazionale, which this hotel is on, but it's positioned on the opposite side of its building so it doesn't suffer from noise from the street below. Mirella was also great about letting us check in early and leave our bags after checking out so we could explore the city more before our train left.
We had just the right space for our travelers. The towels were great! Although the room wasn't ready, we were able to leave our bags. Also, our host was proud of her city.
The wifi was spotty in our room.
The attitude of the old lady is really bad... Sorry to say so , but it really is...
