the condition of the hotel were in bad condition. not like what we see in the picture. and we cant pay using card!
The heating almost didn't work
The room that we stayed in smelled, the beds are really old, there are wholes in the walls, the bathroom was an actuall joke.I would not recommend it to anyone.
Very good location; all sights are within walking distance
Wifi did not work in our room; Staff did not speak English
Very fair price; staff were friendly and ever cheerful; location was great.
The place needs an email address! I would have liked to email the hotel to confirm my reservation.
It was freezing cold but the window shatter isn't closing and the hitter is turned low. Had to use 4 blankets.
We booked a room with shared bathroom, but got a room with own bathroom. The location of hotel Etrusca is excellent. 5 minutes walking distance from Firenze SMN train station and 10 from Duomo. We brought our little dog with us and she was warmly greeted by the staff. The room was well heated. And the price is very good.
Acoustics was bad. Wifi didn't reach the room so we had to go out to the reception to use the internet.
Room was clean, receptionist friendly, terrific location. Comfortable bed, warm room.nice fluffy towels, changed daily and bed made.
One PowerPoint under bed, shower floods floor, no hand towels or bath mat.
It's in some apartment few rooms but terrible condition. It's a worst place I have seen in my life. Location is very bad. I cant understand, how booking com listed that place.
The hotel is not far from the city centre and railway station so it is convinient.
First of all the stuff doesn't speak any language except of Italian. It os impossible to communicate. Secondly the rooms are too small. It feels like you are living in a dog hole. The biggest problem os that there is something wrong with air conditioning. For example our wet clothes and towels were always wet. Also water went through the tubes very hard and sometimes it did't pass away till morning. Moreover there were a lot of mosquitoes due to the humidity. To sum up don't choose this hotel if you stay in the city for more than one night.
Very close to the station, very friendly staff
It's not very close to the railway station. It's like a hostel wish small and old furnished rooms, very very small bathrooms ( dirty and with no doors to close, but something hard to explane). It is very hard do find the hotel and it looks nothing like in the pictures, staff do not speak english AT ALL! It was cold and I do not recommend staying here at all.
Location, staff and wifi.
It was a little bit difficult to find the hotel.
The very bad hotel. Between the room and a toilet there is no door. In a doorway between the room and a toilet there can pass only the child. Towel hangers aren't present. The wet towel can only be put on a bed. No WLAN.
VERY friendly staff! excellent wifi ELEVATOR!! - its very essentian advantage from my point of view Location is fine = 5 min to Santa Maria Novella station and 5 min to Duomo
A bit noisy (but overall it was ok!) The bed was quite narrow for 2 persons (but we are not fat at all :) )
Staff were pleasant
No change in bedding or towels for 3 days. Shower door was broken and leaking all over the floor. No drinking glasses provided for water. No bed side lights; only ceiling lighting and it was poor. Smoking in the building was very smelly in our room. Location close to train but on very noisy and busy street. Not a good representation if florence. Price was very high for time of year and quality of the accomodation. The pictures on the Booking.com do not represent the state of the accomodation. Very disappointed.
- Location in centre; - Attentive staff;
- Smell from the kitchen on the ground floor; - Small room in front of main exit; - Noisy.
-very old furnitures -no breakfast comparing to the price
When we got there, around noon, there were no room that we made reservation through booking.com.
A staff couldn't speak English at all. We communicated with Google translator. She recommended another hotel and called for us to book a room. The 'hotel' she recommended (it should be called dormitory) were very far away from center of the city. We walked 20 minutes from the Hotel Etrusca with heave luggage but there were no choice for us since we couldn't find other hotels to stay the night.
Cold water, mattress hollow, very small room, no coffee. Compared to what we got in Verona for the same price this hotel was really not up to standard!!!
The hotel has very good location near all attractions and train station. Also, hotel is cheap and thus it is a good deal for tourists with limited budget.
The room has old furniture and the bed is not comfortable. The shower and toiled are shared. We had to wait for a long time for the water to become warm. poor sound proofing.
very close to the railway station and also 5 min walk to the city center clean and nice place has facilities to make a hot water for tea
Staff Doors doesn't lock safety Taking a shower is reaaly difficult..'cause area limited No shampoo no paper towels And so on...
The situation is only the best.
The room was in the second floor (number 7 room) and the pictures of the website are very far to the real room, the bath was very small and dirty. The wall of the room was full of mildew. They didn't change the towels (we were 4 days). The TV... no comments, The wifi didn't operate. Our pillows were very slim. And the employees were very rude.
Where do I start?! We arrived mid afternoon and had to wait up to 30mins to be checked in as there was no one on reception. There was a italian number to call and we tried the office phone to call but that did not work! We were close to walking out when Mireille turned up. She apologised profusely for being late and said she had injured her ankle. She spoke very limited English. She started cringing and sighing as we complete the check-in procedure and she gave a quick spill of the places of interest and then showed us to our room. She also showed us where she had "hurt" her ankle (although it looks more like swelling and chronic skin changes rather than a bruise - we're doctors) but when we saw her within a span of 5 minutes, she was walking normally and there was no complaints about it further!! We were then told that we had to pay by cash (eventhough website said credit card was accepted). The room was very basic, burnt marks on power sockets and smelled heavily of cigarettes! We had the shared bathroom option and there was no bath mat to prevent one from slipping and the shower wall had a 'frosted glass' look as it had not been cleaned properly. Towels were supplied and they were cigarette-scented! The room was not made on the second day either. To be honest I'm not sure if it was worth the price but if you're looking for a place to stay and end up smelling like cigarettes then this is the perfect place for you!!
