The part of the staff
Every thing the whole package rooms, shower, breakfast very poor .
the hotel has clean rooms with all the conveniences, Italian breakfast is served in the hotel hall; good value for money
very clean nice staff
price is the only thing that I can say was ok
speaking english at the reception was almost inpossible
Friendly staff and clean rooms
The bedlinen had a tear in it and the walls in the room had lots of scuff marks on it - easy to remedy, yet left like that.
If you are traveling Toscana and seeking for accomodation ¨just to spend a night¨ near interesting villages as San Gimignano, Volterra etc.on 2-3* level, this can be a place for you.
Poor breakfast, very simple towels in the Bath
Old hotel ....everything it;s so old and rusty .
Nothinng to say about strengths!
Filthy room. Bed was too old and hurt my backbone. No ventilation. Towel was out-dated. Breakfast was terrible. Big noise from the road. The worst hotel I have ever had in my entire life. I would say don'y go there.
It was a stopping off point and as such was in a handy place, between Greve and the lovely little towns of the Chianti Region and San Giminiagno & Volterra, but other than that didn;t ahve a lot going for it
Staff weren't overly friendly & seemed to be constantly on the phone for private calls in reception & the distance to the town centre is much further than in the description on Bookings.com
Poggibonsi was for us a convenient stop before continuing our trip to Siena and Val d'Orcia. Used the hotel for 2 nights: 1st night after a long drive from Croatia and leisure drive through all of Chianti making stops in most of towns & villages; 2nd night after visiting San Gimignano by car and Florence by bus. The hotel absolutely fulfilled our needs for a convenient place to spend the night with free parking, buffet breakfast (excellent home made brioches/croissants !) and a bus stop virtually in front of the hotel where the bus took us directly to Florence. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, spacey room. Our room was above reception, so we had the wi-fi signal in the room. Small fridge was an additional plus.
Hotel is indeed in need of a makeover and shower facilities are a bit ridiculous (but serve the purpose), but we knew what were getting for the price we paid, so no unpleasant surprises whatsoever.
price is very cheap, easy to find, and there is air conditioning ! (so great in Italy...).
location, a little too far from places of visit.
position close to florence and siena, price-valuable, free parking. Just for spent one night...
shower without a screen, look like hotels in 90's
the smell of cigarette in the room, the "ancient" shower, the noise (lack of sound insulation), the barking dogs allowed in the hotel, the coffee
