Very good buffet breakfast. Only a few minutes walk from the station. Easy to get to Venice a the day trip. We found Padua to be a better place to stay than Venice or Verona. Scrovegni chapel just acros the road. Supermarket just round the corner. No tea making facility in room.

We liked the location. It was 10 minutes walk from the train station, across the street from the Scrovegni Cappella and four minutes walk from the Palazzo Zuckermann. All other sights were within 20 minutes walk. The city tram was also within five minutes walk. It is also very close to lots of shopping. The room was quiet and had a nice balcony. We thought the breakfast was inadequate. The items offered were few, seemed stale and not much variety. We also found it very difficult to find a restaurant or any place to eat in the evening. The few places available were very expensive. The staff performed their duties well but made no effort to make any contact outside of what was needed.

The hotel was modern and clean and breakfast was adequate. It was a reasonable distance from the station and in a good area of the city although it was difficult to find medium priced restaurants as there seemed to be many bars and a few expensive restaurants. The only complaint is that there was no same day laundry service available and the management seemed to discourage using its laundry service.

Location. Comfortable room. Annoyed that person on the desk said that it was not necessary to book at the adjoining restaurant at the time we wanted only to find that by not doing so meant that we could not get a table. Our room had a smell of drains.

This hotel is in the perfect location to visit Padua. It sits on the edge of the old city and the places of interest to visit are within walking distance. The bus/railway station are within a 10 minute walk (although you'll need to take a taxi to the hotel if you arrive with heavy luggage) if you want to use Padua as a base to visit other towns in the area (e.g. Venice or Verona). The room was beautiful and very clean. The hotel organized a shuttle bus to take us to Venice airport, about 30 to 45 minutes away.

1. At the hotel named "Europa" I'd like to see at least some international TV channels, and not only Italian ones.. 2. The parking lot is located a couple of blocks away from the hotel. I believe it is worth mentioning at the hotel's Internet page to avoid the wrong impression it provides..

Had to pay for wi fi internet! Maybe it will be 50 cents for the elevator next time! Lets not go down the road of low cost air travel. No add ons please.

Very noisy - seems to have some student boarding accommodation upstairs - people thumping around all night. Internet service is an additional 5 Euro per day, which is a bit of a rip off. We had to ring the service desk for additional pillows, which were eventually provided, but they should be in the room as a matter of course.

Efficient and benevolent stuff. Clean and spacious room and bathroom. Convenient location (10 min of straight walk or 2-3 min bus ride from the railway station). Good value-to-money ratio.

If you don't mind the 10 minute water bus ACTV and the 10 minute walk to the hotel you will get a fully air conditioned very quite room. It's inconvient to stop by if you need to shower three times a day because of the heat. Venice Tip: purchase water taxi tickets from ACTV (they are always running) not Alilaguna (Infrequent & rude)

Extremely helpful staff and location. No complaints at all with the hotel, but i do question why we even bothered staying in Padova - a very disappointing city.

“We chose Hotel Plaza for its ideal location in the heart of Padua, enabling exploration of this beautiful city, on foot. Both train and bus station are within walking distance, as long as you enjoy a decent walk (15 - 20 minutes), allowing for day trips to Venice and Verona. On our last full day in Padua we hopped on a bus (next to the train station) and travelled North to Cittadella, a medieval fortified town - well worth a visit. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the hotel, we were treated to entertainment by the City Rhythm Orchestra from Philadelphia. We chose to eat at the hotel twice during a 7 day stay and I would certainly recommend this hotel, unless you are on a strict budget. ” Joyce, Tamworth |
