Hotel Armando is in the heart of the historic center of Verona, only 550 yards from the Roman Arena where the Opera season takes place every summer.
Score from 535 reviews Excellent
Just 165 ft from Verona Arena, the Hotel Milano is in historic central Verona. It offers free Wi-Fi and serves a rich breakfast buffet including Italian cappuccino and fresh pastries.
Score from 1985 reviews Wonderful
Fully refurbished in March 2012, Hotel Bologna is a historic building facing a romantic little square only 165 ft from the Verona Arena.
Score from 801 reviews Wonderful
It was close to everything right near the Arena. But, literally, I would have walked 2 miles with my luggage over my head in the middle of the night for a comfortable bed.
The beds were terribly hard and the hotel is so out of date. Or room was incredibly tiny and depressing. The staff was kind of cold and unfriendly except for one guy we met at the end. I really would not ever stay here again
The size of the room too small
Location , in the historic district and a good breakfast
Very well appointed room
This hotel is in a superb location and for the opera it could not have been better. I had requested a quiet room at the back [had been travelling for almost 40 hours] and that is exactly what was provided. I would caution against trying to walk from the train station. If you can afford this well priced hotel you can afford a short taxi trip. At all times the front of house staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was quite adequate, quietly presented with nice staff and the entire place was immaculately clean.
No negatives. I have done a huge amount of international travel and this hotel lived up to all of my expectations. I did not expect 5 star- plus but it had everything that was needed.
As we were only in Verona for 1 night to see the Opera it was the perfect location.
Triple room was a little cramped but for 1 night it didn't matter.
location , location, location
No extra blankets in the room - it was freezing!
A great location in the city. Clean and comfortable room. Delicious and generous breakfast that makes for a good start. Even with i mention in the negative comment section, i would not hesitate to go back.
Although the staff was generally very friendly and helpful, some members of the frontdesk team were less patient and friendly, but this was compensated by the others, especially the very competent breakfast serving staff.
Hotel Europa is very good for a short trip in Verona because it takes just 2 days to see the sights there. You can relax and enjoy your time in the hotel. Moreover we appreciated breakfast at its true value in the hotel, i mean you can eat italian food till one is full.
Location was brilliant. Breakfast and staff were excellent
Only one pillow per person. Hair Drier not very effective
It is very close to the center and still in a remote spot, so quiet. Breakfast offered gluten-free crackers and muesli and was okay for the hotel standards.
Most of the staff at the reception was quite arrogant and I think it was due to the booking.com deal that we booked. They would help us with any questions, but they were quite inpatient and seemed annoyed by us.
Excellent central location.
Lack of access to drinks, coffee during the day other than breakfast.
So close to the Arena. Marvellous for late opera finishes. Great access by bus to main station from Piazza Bra. Walking distance to all main historic/Art sites and restaurants.
Room rather small. No obvious bar service in hotel
Very central, clean & good breakfast
Room was tiny , no parking
Hotel Europe is perfect for music focussed travelers. Right across from symphony hall and a few steps from the Arena. Helpful, smiling staff. Rooms are soarkling clean. Bath cheery and well-appointed. Breakfast includes terrific tea and coffee bar and self-serve buffet with goid selection.
Rooms pretty small.
Best part was location and wonderful staff at breakfast.
Cleanliness of room and friendliness of staff. They held bags for us for several hours after our checkout, at no cost, so we could walk around Verona. That was much appreciated.
Primarily the location and helpfulness of the staff
Nothing bad to say
Paying for parking Air Conditioner would not cool room sufficiently
Location for our needs was undeniable
Probably the best hotel in my 10 week travel
Little regard paid by junior receptionist when I took a heavy fall in their office area
Great location, clean comfortable rooms, eclectic decor, very good breakfast and coffee
Grumpy unhelpful staff on reception. Our room was non-smoking but there was a very strong smoky smell particularly in the bathroom. The hotel was full so we could not get a new room, but the bathroom was cleaned the next day and the smell dissipated over our 4-night stay.
