Score from 339 reviews Wonderful
Perfect location to St. Peter's Basillica, and on a safe quiet streeet with very nice and reasonable restaurants just around the corner within 30 seconds walking distance. Also within 30 seconds walk is a small convenient store to pick up some cheap food or drink to take back to the hotel with you!
Close to the Vatican (2 mins walk) subway and most buses (Risorgimento is where bus 32 - for Trastevere (go there, nice atmosphere and cheap food) and 81 - for Piazza Venezia have stations). Hotel was clean and quiet, good continental breakfast, check-in all day (always somebody at the reception), decent WiFi. Parking is close to the hotel with 1E/hour and 4E/8hrs packages in the blue spots. There are few shops in the area as well as retaurants.
The room we had (108) had a view to the back of the hotel facing a wall 2 meters from window; air conditioning could be heard also, but only with open window. This was the last room so we could not switch it; however, we were coming home late and leave early, very tired, so no problem at all. Breakfast could have more (in fact any) vegetables.
Location, accessibility. The rooms are spacious and appear plush. The staff are very helpful.
there were a few issues with the fittings and electrical appliances, which the staff attended to promptly, after reporting.
Absolutely enjoyed our stay
Clean modern hotel with everything you need in a good location
Really good location, close to Vatican and in walking distance of the most of the sights
Breakfast could have been better, everything else was ok
The staff was very helpfull, the location amazing, lots of restaurants too, just a few steps from the Vatican and 5 min walk to St Peter Square, which is a plus at night if you want to go and have a look (you should). Breakfast was plenty, sweet and salty. There is free parking outside but only if you have a scooter.
The walls are thin, although the area is very quiet you can hear what is going on in the rooms next to you.
Clean, comfortable and good value for money. Breakfasts were good.
Very close to metro and Vatican City. Staff were friendly and helpful.
There isn't a sign outside the hotel so it can be a bit difficult to find.
Wi-Fi available. Very close to Vatican.
No window and no supply of shampoo and lotion.
There are various restaurants by it like Amalfi! The tour buses are fairly close by and the vatican is about 5 minutes away walking distance. It really makes the trip a breeze by having everything so close rather than remote.
It is rather far from the airport, a taxi will cost you about 40 to 50 euros.
The guys that work at the front desk (especially Daniele and Michele, which I probably spelled wrong) are the best guys ever! Definitely made the stay amazing!
the little fake plants at the breakfast tables all had the clear plastic thing from the tag still around them... :B
Location was perfect. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Would recommend to others if it was around €75-80 per night.
Room and public areas looked great at first, then we started noticing little things like light fitments not fitted properly, paint and floor laminate veneer lifting. We reported a bedside light not working on our arrival. When we left 4 days later it still hadn't been fixed. Breakfast was basic continental, however my husband is diabetic so cereal, bread rolls and toast aren't ideal. One member of staff seemed upset if we asked for anything that dragged her away from the computer and the girl in the breakfast room hovered every time someone moved. Would not recommend to others if price more than €90 per night. We had stayed at the Excel Montemario previously which was flawless, however, it seems that the hotel group wants a foothold in the Vatican area without keeping up its standards.
Location is very good, very safety. The staff is kindly and the room is very clean and large.
Great staff - informative, friendly and helpful. Location is good - close to buses, metro, Vatican City, laundromat, many restaurants.
Air conditioning a bit too strong
The street outside the hotel. The location was great for what we wanted. It was close to the train station but the street in front of the hotel was dirty and a bit loud due to a street market thing that set up in the early hours.
I loved the location and the cleanliness. Breakfast was great. Modern facilities with excellent air conditioning. Staff was very helpful.
In the bathroom, the toilet paper roll was broken, the blow dryer did not work and there was a bit of mold in the shower. Too bad the streets were filthy with bottles and cigarette butts. Not the hotel's fault though.
Although the exterior of the hotel looked a bit dated, the interior seemed newly remodeled (the room and lobby had a modern look). The staff members are super friendly and helpful with touring advice. Breakfast was also pretty good.
The bed was a little uncomfortable :(
The neighbourhood, the rooms, the staff... can't fault anything
We had a good size room, hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is near the metro which connects you with many popular places of interest, would definitely return to this hotel.
Location to Metro and Vatican City Quiet Restaurants and shops nearby
No windows in our room Basic breakfast
The rooms are modern and clean. Excellent value.
Great wifi. Perfect location for what we wanted.
Size of shower
Wifi was best we have had for whole trip. Staff helpful. Great location for what we wanted
Perfect hotel for a short stay in rome, close to Vatican and everything you need. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Lovely restaurant close by called the Toscano.
There was nothing negative, just for us it could have been closer to the centre.
