Free WiFi not available at the room
Good central location and fairly quiet. Very good breakfast. WiFi good in lounge area - also free. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Decor beginning to look a little tired but have to bear in mind how much we paid.
Cosy and Comfortable settings Great staff. Free parking. best lobby bar ever
Needs a bit of a refurb as place is looking a little dated
Excellent and friendly service in bar. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed having breakfast in outside breakfast area.Cleanliness.
Except for bar area, I found staff at hotel, including front desk, were not particularly helpful or friendly. The presence of large group tours in hotel during my stay may have contributed to this but should not be an excuse.
Excellent location, good comfortable bedroom, reasonable breakfast buffet.
No free wifi, only in the lobby. In room €9 a day. Steam room looked like it have not been turned on in several months. Very limited dinner menu.
Bar and restaurant were very good. Spacious. Easy trip to airport. Cost E27.00. Would stay again.
Only free Wfi in hotel lobby.
- great staff - a small breakfast was set-up since we had to leave the hotel for the airport - hotel was quick to bring extra towels and pillows - we had a large room overlooking Mt Etna
- no cons
Helpfulness of staff and central location
The wifi was appalling ... only worked in small areas and very very slow
Location of hotel. Bad environment of city of Catania.
Staff were helpful and the location was okay
Room wasn't really clean, facilities were not four star! The shower pressure was pretty much non existent.
The daily breakfast buffet was splendid with scrumptious coffee and pastries, fresh fruit, and refreshing mimosas. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The lobby and rooms held just the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. There was a basic steam room and small gym that were nice, but could use updating. It felt like a relatively safe area and was very close to a bus stop, as well as in walking distance to the fish market, Capella St. Agata, Bellini Teatro, and Piazza Duomo. I highly recommend this hotel.
Dirty, poorly maintained rooms
Everything apart from paying for internet when it should be free for the price your paying for staying there
I did not like the prices at the bar I mean I mean for a coke bottle it was 5 euros what a joke apart and paying for wifi 9 euros for 24 hours was pathetic
Location to airport, front desk staff
Bathroom sink wouldn't drain, dark room, terrible hard pillows. Expensive for what it was - $129 Euro. You can stay in some amazing places for the price of Romano Palace which is not a palace by any stretch of the imagination. Not fault of hotel but taxi never showed up in the morning. (Luckily there was a shuttle).
Location in the city and the interior in the bar!
Reception staff does not pay attention to you what so ever. One person sits on the phone and some 6 guests standing nervous.
location, croissants and almond milk, and espresso during breakfast. clean, nice sheets. View of Etna mountain from my balcony
beautiful hotel interior and spacious room at a very good price.
rooms need new carpeting. Paying 9 euros a night for wifi is ridiculous it should be free.
Lack of free wi fi , light bulbs in room blown , old carpet , paint on carpet , the hotel needs a complete revamp it is not a 4 star class would not stay there again until it has been revamped . Maybe two to three star
Bedroom decor is old fashioned, although very clean and bathrooms in particular need updating
Staff & breakfast!
Our room (319) was shabby - with a little TLC, it would have looked much better!....there does not seem to be a proper supervision of housekeeping....also right outside the Hotel there was a homeless man sleeping on the floor-
Dinner was served in the bar When we booked we asked for a room on the 1st or 2nd floor and we were given a room on the 4th floor. After we refused the room we were given one on the third floor.
Good central location for shopping and places to eat
A little reminder of the good old days. Possibly more suited for a business traveller. Looks a little tired but still good.
location in a very nice area close to centre and room had all facilities. and very good buffet breakfast. I will go again as I enjoed my stay in it.
it needs refurbisement , and cleanliness can be better.
All staff speak english and very good parking , nice rooms good food
room was extremely heated ... not able to regulate Air condition from room .. It was standard for all rooms..
