One member of staff was unhelpful and would not open the bar for a drink or snack inthe evening. All other staff were friendly and helpful

It is situated virtually on the River and is close to all the Major Bridges, Shopping Areas, Eateries, Bars etc

The Bathrooms were small. I suppose that space is paramount in Florence, therefore the smallness. The Hotel Bar was unmanned during my stay. I did not see any airconditioning units in my room. It may have been central airconditioning or heating.

The rooms are a catastrophe: the bathrooms are at least 30 years old (in ours the shower did not work), the furniture and beds unpractical. This would be acceptable for a 2-star, but certainly not a 4-star house.

The rooms look nothing like advertised on booking.com. They are small and uninspiring for the price. There was no hot water in the morning and the breakfast was... well it was not particularly inspiring either. If you are able to pay a little extra to stay somewhere else then this would be my only recommendation for this hotel.

The building is fine, the hall is beautiful, the standard room is ok but not excellent. In the end it's good for the price.

Hotel is on 10 minutes walk from Railway Station, as the area near railway station at night is not so safe so this is ideal location. You can see whole Florence by walking and all the famous locations are on walking distance. Hotel is very beautiful and comfortable.

Lift in the hotel is very small it even refuses to go up with 3 people. In bathroom the shower is located in center with very thin boundary and curtain, if you don’t take shower decently the water will spread all over the bathroom and there is no drain out of that boundary but an ideal place to stay.

The staff were very helpful in recommending local restaurants and providing general information.

It was a pleasant stay and its rates were reasonable.

Directions to the hotel from the train station were not communicated well. It is really simple, but the language barrier made it more difficult. We ended up wandering around for an extra hour with our luggage. The pillows were tiny, more like one layer of badding in a pillowcase. The room was muggy; our laundry wouldn't dry because the a/c only worked when we were in the room. Our key in the slot was the source of all power. The water smelled bad, so it was barely drinkable. We could smell the water even just when showering. Watch out for mosquitoes; we got eaten alive.

Immaculately clean rooms, walking distance from rail station and easy walking to all sights. Mini bar was useful as hotel bar was never open.

Reception staff were unfriendly and miserable.
