Genoa's Albergo Acquaverde is set on the highest floors of a late 17-th century building. It is a 5-minute walk from both Principe Metro Station, and Genova Piazza Principe Train Station.

Hotel Genziana is in the centre of Genoa, in an area filled with Genoa’s typical alleys called Caruggi, just 250 metres from San Giorgio Metro Station.

Large room, location, fact that the hotel was in an old building with a good atmosphere, breakfast
Location is superb - at the edge of the old city, within walking distance of the old port. Hospitable staff, clean and good breakfast. The decorated ceiling is a bonus.
Parking is an issue, as is not having an elevator for the luggage.
The wi-fi is good The hotel is a nice late 18th century building
The bath was dirty and we had to kill some cockroaches. The beds were old and very uncomfortable. There is no lift and the reception is on a 3rd floor, so prepare yourself to carry your luggage. The staff at the reception sent me to a private parking what was supposed to have some reserved places for the hotel guests, but when I got into it the parking guy refused hosting our car so we had to look for another place to park.
Hotel located in a car free street, it has no parking space nearby. After 1,5 hours driving around in the neighbourhood we found locked parking in the aquarium area, close to the hotel. Incredible that the manager didn't mention that, but gave us all wrong directions... Very basic and old room and furniture. Not very clean.
Amazing ceiling in the bedroom, breakfast good, shower good, staff friendly. Took Volubus from the airport to the main station and then it was a very short walk.
Be aware that the hotel is on the second floor, not a problem for us, but they were steep stairs. Nothing else to dislike
Nothing worth any references
Everythig was awful. The place with parkings troubles. Stuff was extremely unpleasant. Don`t book this plase, safe your money and nervous or maybe life.
Excellent location, friendly staff.
Location is 10 mins walk to Aquarium, 20 mins from city center
Uncomfortable mattresses Old design/ towels very worn out and not matching/ shower cubicle was so tiny it was impossible to close the door of it/ room a/c unit was full of dust and it didn't really blow out cold air and very noisy if kept on all night Location was a bit dodgy to walk with kids at night Hotel is situated on a one way road with no chance to offload bags. Only option is a garage up the hill with expensive daily rates ( 21 euros from 12 noon to 12 noon next day) any extra hour 2 euros extra . Breakfast was of poor quality and served by a grumpy guy. It felt like a very tired and dodgy hotel not at all family orientated. The name " family hotel" is misleading I would rather next time pay for 2 adjoining rooms in a better known hotel than use again the quintuple room at this horrible shack .
Steps away from the railway station and pretty close to the city attractions, situated in a nice semi-pedonal area. Staff was nice and helpful
No lift, hotel is situated on the 3rd floor.
Very close from the station. The ceilings are really painted. A nice use of an old building. Staff friendly and helpful.
Despite the fact that Booking.com says "no payment is needed", this hotel blocks the cost of your stay on your credit card immediately after booking (no matter how much in advance). I actually paid with another card, but my money is still blocked on the first one - seems that the hotel staff either doen't know how to unblock it or can't do it. So be careful with that.
This is a great place!
No elevator if you have many bags
The people spoke English fluently, were warm, accommodating and happily shared info on bus routes and timetables. Wifi was very efficient and reliable. A very homely feel. Easy access to many tourist attractions.
The breakfast, especially the meats and cheeses, were 'industrial' fair and very disappointing - the worst fair in a two week stay in Italy.
Fresco ceilings Location Staff
Wifi switched off 00:00-07:00 Breakfast was average
The cherubs on the ceiling. Good breakfast. Friendly reception. And of course fhe location.
Great location in the city center next to Palace. The room was with wonderful ceiling with ancient paintings. The personnel was very polite. Very nice breakfast.
Close to train station and walking distance to historic town, plenty of restaurant options.
The bed was short and lumpy mattress
It had everything it should and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Entrance was not as one expects for a hotel, the sign required cleaning some stickers from it. The room was dark - although there was a limit to the natural light the dark decoration did not help to lighten the place.
The staff was friendly a helpfull, location was great, cleanliness was good.
The beds are terribly soft. Breakfast are good but there is no vegetables.
Ceiling murals were magnifique. Good breakfast, location and valueable price.
No elevator. It was a bit cold in a room.
Being close to the centre is excellent. Staff very polite and helpful.
The minibar has not being clean. The quality of the towels was very poor.
Big rooms with beautiful ceilings in old building. Good location in old part of the city, close to the sea. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
A bit difficult car access by narrow, one direction street.
location ,central to whole city and close to train station.felt like a home away from home.staff very helpful as i arrived early and they let me into my room early. They gave me lots of useful tourist information and maps .nothing was too much trouble .
having to carry large suitcase up to third floor. But was good exercise and staff came and helped me,loved place and will go there again .cheap food places to eat were in same street and very convenient .
Everything in the hotel was great. The rooms with the old paintings, the location which was near to both stazione principale and the coty centre, the staff which was indeed polite and helpful. The cleaning staff was also trustful as they didn't touch anything from our things. Will definitely visit Hotel Balbi again. It was absolutely great.
The only negative a person can say is that there is no lift. However we were travelling with Ryanair therefore we had really small luggage to take upstairs so the lift absence didn't bothered us
The room was big & clean. Staff were friendly. Located close to the port where we were cruising from. Breakfast was provided.
There were a few stairs involved in getting to the accommodation but that happens in older cities.
Location excellent. Staff generally pretty good. Breakfast ok, not great. Mural on the ceiling of the room was pretty cool!
Room was absolutely freezing. Only two very small bar heaters which didn't do much in such a big room.
