Relax on the grounds at this friendly hotel, in the popular area of San Lorenzo in the center of Rome, surrounded by typical restaurants and cafés.
Score from 1015 reviews Very good
The Romantica is a small hotel in the center of Rome, between the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and Roma Termini Train Station. Rooms are large, and most have free Wi-Fi.
Score from 711 reviews Good
Featuring air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, Inn Urbe Vaticano is a 10-minute walk from Saint Peter’s Square.
Score from 236 reviews Exceptional
Set 900 metres from Rome Termini Train Station, A Casa Simpatia offers a shared kitchen and classic-style accommodation with a cooling fan. The Vittorio Emanuele metro station is a 5-minute walk away....
Score from 9 reviews Wonderful
The location was good and the people were mostly nice.
The bathroom was gross. They didn't clean very well and the bed was a futon not a mattress. Just bad.
Location, service, decent accommodation for this type of hotel, good WiFi. Fine overall for the price we paid.
Very small bathroom, tiny open shower above toilet, no shower curtain, wasn't really comfortable. But maybe it was just in our room.
Excellent location, very clean, staff was so polite, I would recommend this hotel!
The hotel was really sweet. Knowing that we were on honeymoon, they prepared champagne and chocolates for us when we checked in. The location is close to Termini station (about 7-8min walk) which has access to all tourist destinations (recommend bus 40). The bedroom and toilet is really small but clean. They allow us to keep luggage with them which is really convenient. The wifi is excellent!
The walls are too thin, not only we can't use hairdryer at night, neighbours also complained about us bathing. There is a fridge but not cold at all. Room keeping ends early, we leave room at 1.30pm and was told that there is no room keeping for us though they kindly give us fresh towels. It's a pity that they do not offer breakfast option at all. Given the cheap price, I will still consider staying here again.
Conveniently close to Termini Station and a number of tourist spots.
Location is almost perfect: near to main railway station (Termini) and only 20 minutes walk to i.e. Trevi fountain or Colosseum.
After a heavy rain smell from outside the window was horrible: I felt like living inside of sewer system.
Location, quite resident
near Termini station fridge air condition lots of restaurant nearby at first time you should street view it
mess at Termini station beggars
Perfect cheap hotel very close to Termini and all of Rome's attractions.
No holder for shower nozzle
Friendly staff Value for money Many attractions with in walking distance inc collesium Sight seeing bus only 800m away
Not that spacious
Location was close to Termini rail station. The lady that greeted us spoke good English and was helpful.
Desperately needs an update. None of the 3 rooms we looked at had a fixing point for the shower head so you have to hold it with one hand and wash with the other. You need to street view the hotel before arrival as the outside signs are not an obvious which could make it difficult to find.
The staff is good
The location is near termini which is so many crime occured. The room temporature was very hot and can not adgust the aircondition temporature.
The fact that I was going to leave.
Room top floor heavy luggage. No lift, Room very hot, only a fan. No screens bad mosquito's got eaten alive, no spray. Door very old door, flimsy and took forever to get in. You would stand there for at least five minutes trying to get into your room. I was not the only person having difficulties getting into room two ladies also. Lovely old lady who gave you your breakfast in the morning and was the front of house staff member, and owner. She was very nice but please when you are giving some one breakfast cover your mouth when coughing. What is this with cheaper hotels why don't you have an iron? for your patrons.
Very friendly staff
Hard to locate... Better signs would be great.)
- Very good location. Close to both central railway station Termini and the city center. - Nice and friendly personnel.
Handy for us as close to train station.
Very difficult to find.
First of all, the people at the reception were very nice, helpful and totally great. The hotel is close to the train station and many of the attractions are close by. The rooms are a bit small but then for the price, it is excellent. Easy to miss the sign that is placed on a window on the second floor, so look out !! But overall I would not hesitate to stay here again.
The bathrooms were a bit too small for my liking but that is manageable.
The reception staff " Tenney " very friendly , helpful and benevolent she was excellent. Location is near all public transport (bus, train and tram) and many pizza shop.
The first time it difficult to search it because a small signs on the door.
Hotel is very close to termini station which is very convenient. My flight was late but the staff was there even at mid night to receive me and i am grateful for this.
Nothing about the hotel but would like to comment about the rome fco airport. This airport os the gateway to the worlds most visited city and the adobe pf the pope but its extremely understaffed with a crowded passport checkpoint which is unique among the 20 contries that i have visited. The toilets were either closed or flooded. If the tourists are paying even to enter everything startng from galleries in churches of rome to public toilets in venice cant they even have a clean washroom!!!!!!!
Really nice staff, comfortable, familiar place, clean, close to subway and bus, nice location (many restaurants around). Would stay there again!
Not really bad things, but there was a very small plaque on the door with the name of the hotel, it would be easier to find if it was bigger. Also, we had to hold the shower to take a bath, there was no place to hang it. The isolation on the door is also not great, you can hear outside clearly, but for us that was not a concern.
Location. Friendly staff. Great Coffee. Tenny was an excellent host. Secure premises. Second booking for us
Signage difficult to locate at first visit.
God location, close to Termini and Colosseum. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast in room. For this price, value for money.
In front of a hotel is a tram station, running from 05 to 01h in every 5 minutes. Extremely loud if you have the room facing the street. The staff hardly speaks English, but still very friendly. Old furniture, poor bathroom facilities, but acceptable.
Staff & Location excellent & Secure premises. Family run most hospitable to requests
Poor signage to first locate
