Location was beautiful.
No air conditioning.
@Booking I wrote a real thing about another item but as that was completely negative you didnot publish it! Why?
Great pool Great location for visiting Florence. Friendly, pleasant owner. Efforts of owner in resolving any issues (especially broken hot water boiler during holiday weekend) Nice welcoming basket of fruit and veg and bottle of local wine.
Kitchen a bit too basic. Lack of any local information, an info pack on nearby supermarkets, restaurants, bus numbers and timetable, etc would be useful! especially for non Italian speaking guests who can't ask for information. Mosquitoes were a real problem, especially at night - couldn't have windows open as no nets or screens. Issue with noisy neighbours, not the fault of the owner but it did affect our stay.
Great location...near bus stop and easy 15 minute ride to downtown Florence
Managers do not speak Englsh and it is hard to get bus information. Buses stop after 10 pm .. So can be a problem getting back to hotel if stay in city late.
The location is absolutely beautiful and the two-bedroom flat that we had was lovely -- lots of character. The blue glass dishes were stunning. We chose the location because it is in the countryside, but there is public transport from Florence (a 15 minute walk, then a 40 minute bus ride; #31 or 32), so for us it was a good spot. The kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed walking around the area in the countryside. All this was good.
1. I've listed a rating for Staff as "poor" and that's not exactly the case--to clarify: it's just that there wasn't anyone there when we needed to ask questions. We initially checked in and were shown the flat by a pleasant lady (unfortunately we don't speak Italian so it was hard to communicate, but that's our fault, not hers). She was very attentive at this point and made sure we had sheets, towels, etc. But then we never saw anyone who worked there again until the end of our stay three days later--not even to inquire where there was a store or ask about getting more toilet paper. The family seemed to live in a building across from where the flats are, but even with knocking on the door we couldn't find anyone. There were other people staying in the apartments so we asked them questions like where to hang out washing, etc. We had been expecting an agriturismo that was a bit more interactive, so we were quite puzzled by the lack of communication. 2. Another issue was that we had a lot of difficulty sleeping because there was a group of other guests who sat outside on the patio until 3 and 4 in the morning laughing, singing and talking. I think our experience might have been different if the other guests had been more polite.
The family we're very sweet, welcoming and made us feel right @ home. They greeted us with a bowl of fresh fruit & invited us to pick more from their vineyard! Their farmhouse is situated in an excellent spot~Florence is just minutes away as well as the beautiful hills of Tuscany. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool & soccer field:)
My apologies to Joanna for the very late posting of this review. My family stayed here for 3 nights and were blown away from the moment we arrived. Joanna served us refreshments and got us comfortably settled before giving us the most amazing insights and orientation related to the hotel, the area of Rome we were in, what sites to see, how to get around, tips and tricks to seeing local attractions, etc. Joanna was attentive beyond the call of duty. Friendly, available and always eager to help us out, Joanna helped make our trip to Florence memorable beyond our greatest expectations. My wife and parents and I were stunned by how great this Farm stay is and recommend it to anyone who wants a fantastic visit to a beautiful city.
The place is clean, comfortable and beautiful. We were in two levels apartment. The hostes was friendly. The place is quiet and very suitable for recreation. Firenze is close (we were with car) but bus passes nearby
The ceilings on the second floor of the apartment were very low
Hospitality and kindness. Beautiful environment.
