The location is not that great being in an industrial area but we were so happy to see that the staff and service and hotel more than made up for the location. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel which made up for the location! We hD 2 rooms. They were large and spacious and very clean. Breakfast is included and was nice. The staff has a cappuccino mail chine at the lobby bar to make you a coffee while waiting for a cab or coming back from exploring Venice.
Location was in an industrial area. It was quiet and safe and easy bus transit into Venice.
Good location, just 5 minutes walking from central railway station, 10-15 minutes from the Cathedral. The staffs are very friendly. Yuri is extremely helpful during my stay. Madame (mom of the owner) can speak French very well, she is very nice also. Breakfast is excellent with a lot of choice, for me it can be 3 star hotel for that, some kind of bread including croissant is homemade and very delicious. We love it. Our room was very spacious, there were two floors. Actually, it's for three persons. We recommend unhesitatingly this place. If we go back Florence again, I will book this hotel for sure. On va réserver encore cet endroit. Un couple d'amis from Thailand, live in France.
Breakfast selection was good. Staff were always helpful ( the lady on night shift was the best!)
Bathroom was a tad cramped, but that was common in Florence. Room was older as was bathroom, but that is to be expected being 2 stars.
The location was good, within walking distance of everywhere. The staff were friendly. It was clean.
It was very basic, room didn't look as nice as pictures, furniture old, bed a little hard.
Spacious & clean room ,very good breakfast, and friendly eager to help staff.
Messyness in the balcony, in the corridors of the hotel. Hard to use bathroom(corridor-like with shower in the middle)
The room was comfortable and the room size was good. The terrace was terrific with ample room for a table and two chairs. Good place to relax with morning coffee or evening wine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very good location, ten minutes to the train station. Good deal for budget minded travelers.
The combination of dim lighting and missing light bulbs in our room produced a worn, almost shabby feeling. The place had charm but would be better with bright paint and brighter lite bulbs.
clean / safe/ comfortable/ good wifi / standard breakfast / elevator / nice Balcony / friendly staff /
TV no english channel
We liked the character of the building & the large window in our room.
The shower was horrible!! Way too small, the doors didn't close properly & the water sprayed out of it onto the floor.
The receptionists were very friendly and helped us anytime we needed. The hotel was close to piazza duomo. The breakfast was served with good options. The room was very clean, with a good smell.
At the day we arrived we had to stay 2 hours because the room was not ready.
Location is comparatively good bc Florence is a small city you can go anywhere by walking.
Smelly room, especially bad in the bathroom. Furniture is very old in the room. Very dark. Internet is broken when during my period.
Big room, very clean, and it was quiet, I could sleep well.
Old building, simple old rooms ( not renovated) . Simple breakfast,no fruit. It looks rather poverty-sticken. The price for this kind of room is much too high !
Location near station. Staff were helpful on arrival. Breakfast was decent.
Room was old. Double bed was two singles-not comfy. Bathroom was awkward with toilet in corner, shower leaking water all over the floor and shower door opened onto hand basin blocking toilet and hard to get through.
Good value Hotel, room was nice size, bed comfortable, Breakfast was good i enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.
Close to main station and close to the historic sites. Cosy family runned hotel in the historic part, everything is historic in Florence, walking distance to everything.
Friendly helpful staff, nice older charming hotel, location is a little off center but for such a small city is fine, easy to walk to station & downtown. Nice simple continental breakfast.
Noisy room with traffic noise from a busy street
Location to station and easy to walk to everything Helpful staff Cost
Not easy to find Noise of traffic in the morning Bathroom layout akward
Never choose the room near the street. The noises will kill you. I couldn't sleep all night until they changed me to another quiet room...
Location is excellent. Staff are very helpful and will recommend the right restaurants that are not tourist traps and give good advise on what are best tours to take.
The bed mattress was a bit hard and was two single beds pushed together (but that's seems to be common is small hotels in Italy)
Cheap Includes breakfast
Rooms abit dingy
Had a couple of nights at this hotel. It is quite central and an excellent location for exploring Florence. The local leather market is nearby and a walk along it brings you to the areas you need to be in. The hotel is run by Arletta (Mamma), Yuri, and Jolanda. The rooms are very clean, spacious and en suite. The staff are very informative and gave us a well planned map of the sites we needed to see. Just about everything in Florence can be done on foot. All except the 'Piazzale Michelangelo' a must see, and which you should do by bus. ( you can walk back) It is an observation point well above the city with brilliant views over the 'River Arno' and the Florence rooftops.. Don't forget your camera. Florence is quite trashing, so it is not a bad idea to return to the hotel on an afternoon for an hour, for a well earned siesta. I'm sure Yuri can give you some ideas for an evening meal.
Iyirie at the reception was great. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Room was large and comfortable.
Toilet tank was noisy all night.
-Staff were very helpful offering advice on areas of Florence to see, which buses to take, and offering to make reservations to museums. - Location was a close walk (10-15 minutes) to Mercato Centrale, Duomo, train terminal, and other sites.
Shower stall was a little flimsy and had to try to push some parts back in place after sliding doors open/closed.
Sperm stain on bed cover! very dirty and run down
The hotel it seems was run by a family who made us feel very welcome. Although the hotel is located in old-style building, it added to the charm of staying in Florence.
