Good location, bed comfort, big bath, friendly staff, good breakfast
Bed is uncomfortable. Too far from train station.
The food in the restaurant was very good. However, the restaurant has some disadvantages, one being in the evening it was only open between 8 and 10pm and at 8pm there is a mad rush with some people who arrive at 8:10 or later having to wait until other people have finished before they can be seated. It would really be advantageousness for the restaurant to open earlier in the evening. Also they charge you 1 Euro per person for a bread basket, even if you don’t ask for bread or take anything from the bread basket they leave on your table. Breakfast was good except on one day when it seemed the hotel had a lot of business people staying overnight and making an early start. That day there was very limited food left at 8am, with breakfast being served from 7am to 10am. They have a notice in the restaurant saying that food available at the breakfast buffet may only be consumed in the restaurant but if you require food to take with you then they’ll provide it (for an additional charge.) Be aware that if you’re staying in any hotel in Rome the rate of city tax may suddenly increase and you’ll have to pay the current rate not the rate it was when you booked. When I booked it was 3 Euros per night for a stay in a 4 star hotel (so the total would have been 18 Euros) but a month before I arrived I received an email saying the city tax was now 6 Euros per night for a stay in a 4 star hotel meaning I had to pay 36 Euros.
A couple of years ago I stayed in a 4 star hotel in Pisa, outside the historic centre and the price per night was lower than other 4 star hotels in Pisa. I expected the experience at this hotel to be similar but it was inferior. The hotel is very old fashioned, with old fashioned beds and traditional keys that you hand in at reception when you go out. The one modern thing in the hotel is air conditioning and they’ve blocked off the balconies to fit the outlets for the air conditioning. Some of the staff aren’t really multi-lingual but still say ‘Si’ in response to ‘Parla inglese?’ When asking for my key one staff member didn’t know what “twenty two” meant and after repeating it I asked for ‘ventidue’ instead. So it probably wouldn’t be the best hotel to stay at if you don’t know any Italian at all. The room is much smaller than you would expect for a 4 star hotel, with practically no space between the toilet and shower cubicle. The windows have external shutters which are difficult to operate and when they are closed you have a very dark room. However, unfortunately they don’t block out the traffic noise from outside with there being many noisy motorbikes and scooters going past in the middle of the night. They provide one pillow per person and don’t provide any spares if you feel the pillow is too thin. The bed was reasonably comfortable though. There’s only desk chairs in the room, no comfortable chair for sitting on when relaxing or watching TV. The TV channels were different to the ones shown on the laminated sheet in the room, there were a lot more channels but the BBC ones listed weren’t available. There is complimentary wi-fi but the signal was weak in my room and the only place I could get a useable signal was just inside the door. If you were trying to use a laptop at the desk then you wouldn’t get a signal.
Good location, nice hotel, very clean room
Weak WiFi connection, poor breakfast - after 9 o'clock was almost empty bufet, no jogurts, no salami, no vegetables at all. Staff did not fill bathroom equipment. No effect on Honeymoon note...
The location is good, easy to get to the center.
I've stayed here for 4 or 5 days. Was a little surprised by absence of any lights when I first entered the room - then I discovered that ceiling lamp was absent and wall light had dead bulb. So 3 floor/table lamps had to suffice :) I saw no cleaning in all those days, no shower gel replacement either. (I was usually leaving @15:00 on most days till late evening, so they had a lot of time to adjust schedule). Breakfast was surprisingly bland, and coffee was plain terrible. One evening I ordered a steak from main menu in hotel restaurant, almost a quarter of it was fat... This hotel was a disappointment in general, sadly.
Staff was friendly and accomodating.
Very comfortable spacious with quality furniture. Quiet area Obliging staff
Rooms were excellent, breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and helped guide us around the metro system.
Location is a bit far from any metro, though there is a bus around the corner but was always crowded. Far from the attraction nothing really good near by. Great for business but not for seeing the sights.
Great hotel, very beautiful and very helpful staff. Nice location.
room comfort, jacuzzi, breakfast, garage option, free internet
Position, wide room
Old building, poor air conditioning
Cleaning staff were great and outside was fabulous too
Fantastic staff, that went above and beyond. Any requests we made they helped straight away. The excellent staff made our stay so enjoyable. The hotel; wifi, breakfast, rooms, hot water, beds all were excellent. The location is a little out of the city but we enjoyed that a lot more; it was safer and gelato, groceries and other shops were much cheaper. I would recommend this hotel.
Fantastic location with easy access to center with bus routes.. brilliant comfy bed delicious breakfast.. perfect!!
Bed was sooo comfy we didnt get up till later.. nothing negative really!!
A pleasant surprise. Excellent location with good connectivity with hi to rock centres but away from the busy hustle. Staff at reception vert helpful.
None as such
Welcoming attitude, friendly service cleanliness and customer care. Stylish surroundings.
Great location - out of main town but within easy access of Piazza Venezia and the main rail station. Quiet residential neighbourhood with lovely local non-touristy restaurants. Staff were mostly friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Great breakfast!
The Fenix were nearly fully booked, and they didn't have the availability of rooms stated on booking.com - this lead to one of our party getting a room upgrade and one not, which meant we both paid the same for very different facilities. Staff struggled to understand when asked where the plug socket in the room was, and got annoyed when we tried to explain.
The location was good... you could easily get a bus to the centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The position and the spacious room, the breakfast, and the restaurant area. Room was silent. Parking facility.
the moquet in the entrance and all corridors, it is oldish.
