Score from 143 reviews Very good
Location is excellent, once you find the small side-street it is on. It is an easy 3-5 minute walk to the major sites. It has an elevator. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, with a ceiling that was maybe 5-6 meters high. The bathroom was an adequate size--not one of the tiny ones you have to wedge yourself into.
The included breakfast was so bad (e.g., stale packaged croissants) that we skipped it and went to nearby cafes.
everything was well and I recommend it. The guys are very nice
I have only one claim... it would be great if the towel is dirty to get a new one ;-)
The location to the Duomo and shops was good.
The lift was extremely small and slow. The manager smelt of alcohol all the time, could hardly speak English and was not very helpful. Breakfast was a joke with aweful coffee, sweet croissants and dry cold toast all that v was offered.
Close to all interesting place. Beds are clean. Staff is friendly.
A lot of mosquitoes in the room during the night! My daughter got more than 10 bites.
The staff was very friendly! My brother left his passports in our taxi and Luca, I think his name was, helped us reach the can company and we were able to locate the cab. The room was incredibly spacious (was in a double) and very clean. Beds were comfortable. The hotel was located in a street away from the crowd but very close to everything.
The breakfast, while presented very nicely, consisted of dry toast, bland ceral, a grocery pastry and orange juice, tea or coffee. Not very good at all.
Great location. Halfway between Duomo and Uffizi. Warm nights with no a/c and mosquitoes if you opened your window were a problem. Staff very nice.
- friendly staff, provided map, information about main places of interest in Florence - very convenient for main attractions, bus and railway stations, walking distance - adequately furnished, clean, second floor, with lift, luggage storage, recommended
Perfect location in a charming Florentine building and therefore good value for the money. Good coffee at breakfast, which is otherwise quite basic but nice.
The location is central Florence. It was very clean and the staff were very nice.
Hot, no Air Conditioning
The location is good. It is close to the attractions and Firenze S.M. Novella station. A taxi ride will set you back €9-11 although if you give the driver €15, he would be very happy to help you with your luggage. The best thing about the hotel, however is the warmth and hospitality of the hosts. He emailed us to find out what time was our arrival so that the room would be ready for us on our arrival. The next time we are in Florence, we would surely stay at this place again.
Excellent location in historic centre, within walking distance from main attractions. Friendly guy at the reception. Definitely recommend.
Small shower. Towels are changed only once every 3 days.
The location is great. We can see the backyard of Dante Church through the window in our room. The hotel has an elevator to get to, which is very important for travelers with luggages.
You have to return the room key to the front desk. However, there was no one there when you got back there after 11PM. It made one feels a bit insecure.
The Wifi signal in our room was very weak.
Friendly staff. Great central location. Room was clean and quiet.
Breakfast was the same every day and not that good.
I loved Florence and I think part of it is because of my stay here. The place is clean and comfortable, the location very convenient, the staff were very helpful and hospitable, and the breakfast was plenty. I really recommend this place to everyone. When I come back to Florence, I would definitely stay here again!
homey, good location, comfortable
not much choice in breakfast
The staff is fantastic! After a hectic drive through the city (and a police escort to the hotel!) I was elated at the help I received. The night desk didn't speak much English and my Italian isn't any better, a call was made to the manager who promptly arranged to have our rental car picked up and driven to a parking garage nearby (I can't begin to tell you how relieved I was! I wouldn't recommend driving in Florence). The hotel isn't fancy but is very welcoming and comfortable. The location is central to everything, just a quick five minute walk to the Ufizzi and Medici.
Excellent location!Very clean!
Breakfast was a bit poor.
Walking distance to centre. Lift to get luggage up to second floor. Manager pleasant enough (except when asked for boiled water and a cup for a cup of tea) and he kindly lent me an umbrella when it rained all afternoon.
Begrudgingly given cup of boiled water to make tea..not used to the european hotels with no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, as is usual in western hotels. Internet very poor in room and marginally better in foyer. Breakfast all carbohydrates..croissant, cornflakes, packaged dried bread...fresh fruit would be welcome and or cheese/meats/eggs as other places.
the area, in the old part of the city.
Did not like the breakfast. The worst breakfast we ever had - milk, the cheapest corn flakes one can buy, a few buiscits, almost no marmelade! VERY POOR!!!! THE ROOM WAS VERY COLD. The pillows hard as a stone- impossible to sleep on, hade to remove them to be able to sleep.
Contrary to the reviews written about the service. We found the service excellent . When we arrived our room was not ready but was told that they are giving us an apartment around the corner. This apartment was at least 3 times bigger than any place we stayed in in the last 3 weeks. The owner was so helpful and he even put together a list of brochures for us of things to see and do while in Florence . He even returned later on in the evening and brought us an easter egg and made sure we were okay. Only regret was we didn't stay there longer. Now for the . who that left a bad review and got kicked out when they arrived, you should read all the booking details properly, it clearly states that nobody under 25 will be allowed to stay, so blame yourselves for your stupidity and not the owners.
Loved everything about the place.
