In a 15th-century building in the San Frediano district of Florence, the Casa per Ferie Santo Nome di Gesú has simple rooms. A sweet buffet breakfast is served daily.

Score from 808 reviews Good
The location is wonderful. We liked being on the Arno, with a nice view. The hotel is very lovely, with beautiful, quaint rooms. The breakfast is great, and the area across the river is perfect. The off season deal was amazing!
The friendly welcoming Nicoletta who even helped us with our heavy luggage up the 2nd floor. Great Location and hotel
The receptionist was very helpful. The room was good value for money.
The Hotel is quite far out of the center of town/train station. Furthermore, check in is at 14h00. We arrived at 09h00 in the morning left our bags at reception and went sight seeing. We were only in Florence for a night so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. The directions to the hotel are not the best
Very helpfull and polite staff. Clean and charming rooms. Nice location: you can easily reach the historical center walking, even at the night (we feel safe there). Good breakfast, for the price. We recomended.
Hot water only at the shower. No elevator (I think there are rooms at the ground floor, but there are some stairs until the reception. Maybe not recomended for people on weelchair - it's better ask first).
The staff was kind.
Internet connection. Bathroom. Breakfast was ok.
Our room had a partition that enclosed the motor for the automatic doors at the entrance of the hotel. This was very noisy. The painting on the ceiling was quite ugly. The hotel is on the wrong side of the river for most sightseeing. The 23 bus is convenient but very overcrowded.
I loved this place. From the painting on the ceiling to the AMAZING shower, to the hugely comfy bed, I would (and have) told everyone to stay here when they visit Florence.
The ONLY thing wrong with my room was the heat - it was very warm and very dry, but the staff were SO sweet and did their very best to help me out with it.
Not much. The location was good if you're driving and need to park, but it's a 30min walk to the Duomo.
The walls in this hotel are made of paper. You can hear Everything. And I mean everything. I could hear my neighbours using their toilet in the morning. When people are in the hallways it echoes so much and you can hear every little detail. The shower had quite a bit of black mould in it. The rooms are institutional feeling. No art on the walls, cables dangling from under the TV. Walls are in serious need of a paint job. The bed is very uncomfortable and you have the option of full blast heat, or no heat, so you're either hot or cold.
We loved the large lilac room with a painted ceiling and large bathroom. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We booked at the last minute and got a great price. There was also offroad parking for our motorbike. It is close to the Piazza Michelangelo which gives you a great view over Florence. There were two good restaurants very close by.
We tried the breakfast the first morning but preferred to go and find a better coffee and croissant at a nearby cafe. However, the chocolate cake seemed popular with other guests.
We really enjoyed staying at the Ferrucci Hotel, the staff is really nice, rooms are not big but comfortable and clean, design is really relaxing. We loved the neighbourhood, because it is not far from center and you can enjoy the walk by the river. Bus connection (bus #23) is direct to the railway station.
In case your windows have street view it might be a bit noisy.
Famil run, friendly in good location
room a little small
really pretty roof for every room! a little bite far from the old town by walk. but its ok.
15 minutes walk from the city center. Very nice and helpfull personnel. Good ratio quality/price. Very clean room.
Very small room. The bathroom door did not close. The bathroom smelled.
The staff were extremely helpful. They booked our day trips for us, gave great directions when requested. The hotel was convenient for walking to Ponte Vecchio and that side of Florence.
The mosquitos! Because the hotel is close to the River Arno, and because we opened our bedroom window one night, a few of them paid us a visit. We would also have liked if the hotel had a bar.
Staff Friendliness- nothing was a chore and they seemed to always go out there way for you. Location- at first as the taxi was driving out of the main city and almost into the suburbs we were a bit worried, but after realising how small Florence is it was not a problem, takes about 15 mins pleasant walk along the riverside, and you can get a bus which gets you there in 5 mins which run like clock work. A pizza restaurant 30 second walk away, Best pizza I've tasted in my life and I eat a lot of pizza. The dough was sooo nice.
Beds were hard but everywhere we have stayed in Italy have been the same.
Quiet street, close to Hop on Hop off at the Piazza Ferrucci, walking distance to Ufficci, A cademia etc. Affordable good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Staff were charming and helpful.
Nothing to dislike.
Lovely English speaking staff, safe bicycle storage, good breakfast and large room.
Cigarette smoke in room and traffic noise.
Very helpful staff. Reached us via email before our arrival, explained how to reach the hotel and when we arrived gave us tips and details for the main attractions. The decoration of the room is great (specially the cealing) and the location by the arno river very beautiful. Nearby is a great restaurant, a patisserie and the bus stop. The bathroom and the double bed were spacious and comfortable.
The hotel is 20min walking away from ponte vechio bridge (10 min by bus). The room was a bit cold at night because the central heating was not yet turned on. The main by the river road has a lot of traffic and thus can be noisy some times.
Very cold room, uncomfortable beds and very bad smel in the toilet.
The hot water stopped working on our last morning & were told too bad, it happens!
There's no air conditioning and the fan they provided disturb my sleep. Room smaller than expected but luckily they upgraded it as the curtain rail dropped and nearly hit my head as I was drawing the curtains open
Beautiful hotel, very friendly helpful staff, there's even a lovely terrace outside on the first floor where you can sit in the sun or shade & enjoy views of the river. Really clean comfy beds & bathroom. It's about a 20 min walk into the City centre from hotel but the 23 bus will take you in less than 10 mins :)
We like a proper protein based breakfast, not just carbs which make us feel sluggish all day so the hotels choice of hard bread & cakes & crossiants with no fresh fruit was not to our liking - there's plenty of cafes around the immediate area though! Would recommend The Diner.
To refer without any doubt!
The staff is very nice and can help provide the hot water.
It is better for them to send the guideline about how to reach their hotel in advance.
No elevator, steep stairs, no assistance with baggage. Opened the door to find shattered glass all over the floor. The telephone wasn't working and had to run down to get help with the glass. Girl who swept it up did a poor job, as next morning I got a shard of glass in my foot and bled badly. She said she'd replace the phone but refused to bring it upstairs so to phone for a cab we had to walk all the way down again and carry up the replacement phone ourselves. At night, I filled one of the waxed-paper-wrapped plastic cups provided in the bathroom, only to find the water gone by the time I reached my bed. Someone had made little pinpricks at the base of the cup so all the water ran out. Nice little joke? Throughout the night, things kept flying off the shelves and nightstands. Were I not a mature philosophy professor, I would say the place was haunted. No, just badly run with a chambermaid who has a nasty sense of humor. We had paid for two nights but left after just one. Awful!!!
