To refer without any doubt!
No elevator, steep stairs, no assistance with baggage. Opened the door to find shattered glass all over the floor. The telephone wasn't working and had to run down to get help with the glass. Girl who swept it up did a poor job, as next morning I got a shard of glass in my foot and bled badly. She said she'd replace the phone but refused to bring it upstairs so to phone for a cab we had to walk all the way down again and carry up the replacement phone ourselves. At night, I filled one of the waxed-paper-wrapped plastic cups provided in the bathroom, only to find the water gone by the time I reached my bed. Someone had made little pinpricks at the base of the cup so all the water ran out. Nice little joke? Throughout the night, things kept flying off the shelves and nightstands. Were I not a mature philosophy professor, I would say the place was haunted. No, just badly run with a chambermaid who has a nasty sense of humor. We had paid for two nights but left after just one. Awful!!!
The location is great and the staff was friendly. Reserve a parking spot ahead of time. The rooms are just like photos, comfortable and clean.
We were on the first floor, so it wasn't a problem for us, but I don't believe there was an elevator.
Not much we checked out after the first night. Location far from city center. No lift. Small room even for European standards. Would Not recommend this hotel.
The room was clean and tidy.
We booked the hotel based on the fact they advertised parking. They only have 6 spots and the staff use those so you would be very lucky to get one. We ended up parking on the street and the rental car ended up getting badly scratched. The older women was rude to me as soon as I asked for the parking space when checking in, I would imagine I'm not the only one who has had this problem. The bathroom is so small that you can only get dressed whilst standing in the shower.
The room was small, but simply decorated with tiles on the floor and what looked like a newly renovated bathroom. High ceiling and comfortable bed. The staff at the reception are all very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was also good value for money
The room was really dirty and there was BLOOD on one of the pillows on the bed. The bedspread was incredibly dirty and full of long, thick, black hair (I wish it was mine!), and I found several pubic hairs on the toilet behind the seat. Yuck. I complained and we got free breakfast, which was nice. I would of course have preferred to pay for breakfast and get a clean room. Also, the hotel is constructed so that you hear every word exchanged in the reception area.
Poor Hotel. Very bad mattress and pillows. Noisy. There is no elevator, so in the morning you can hear the guests dragging bags as they walk down the stairs. The bathroom stinks. Small shower. The room had a device plugged in to kill insects. Even so we were bitten by mosquitoes. No breakfast. There is no car park. In parts along the road there are parking lots with three types of conditions: white line (for residents or, in rare cases, will be free parking - we did not find), Blue Line (paid + - € 2 per hour) and yellow line (forbidden) .
The staff were helpful and friendly
Small room and a long walk to the centre of town
Great room Helpful staff
Very clean, and very comfortable...I love the room and the balcony on the second floor...I'll stay in this hotel as well next summer
It's a little bit far from the center, like 20 mins walking, but it's fine, I love this hotel...!
Some staff were difficult to communicate with
Realy friendly staff. Not far from the City Center. (25 minutes to walk) Nice rooms with good Windows (when they are closed you can´t hear anything from the street next to it). Aircondition. 24h reception. Warm arranged room.
No Elevator. Quite noisy chambermaids (roomdoor isn´t very soundproof).
Friendly staff and good location. Large family room Nicely decorated and clean.
Family room - no mirror, not a lot of storage space. Air conditioning did not work very well, so had two uncomfortable hot nights.
Very comfortable and lovely staff.
Temperature of the room was a bit too warm, couldn't control air conditioning.
Receptionist was very nice, and spoke good English. Good location.
The hotel staff were super helpful and pleasant to deal with. The room we had was very comfortable and clean. We also really enjoyed the breakfast served as there was plenty of choice.
It would have been ideal if breakfast was included in the room charge, but I guess for 5 Euros it was still good value.
The door handle kept falling off my door
cleanliness, staff, breakfast
15 minute walk to city. Very helpful receptionists who gave map of Florence and marked points of interest. Car parking available which we paid for.
The room was very nice decorated, renovated in 2013.
WiFi did not work at all one evening and morning due to problems out of control of the hotel.
The room was large and clean and the bathroom was also roomy. The location was great, easy to walk into town.
Breakfast was okay but a bit pricey.
The location. The price.
The beds were hard. Not a deal breaker by itself but... The rooms have very high ceilings and the AC barely blows cold air. So you are left in a large sweat box. Open the large sound proof windows and cool air comes in. But so does all of the noise from the major street that you are on. It was hot and noisy. Breakfast was a joke. We showed up at 930. There were 3 hard boiled eggs. I asked for some more and the woman told me that it was too close to 10 to make any more. After some discussion my girlfriend gave me her eggs so I would stop arguing with the woman. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that all three eggs that I cracked were less than 10% cooked. I had a plate full of 3 fresh uncooked eggs that I could have easily scrambled if given a stove. I showed the woman and she replied by showing me her egg boiling machine which se said didn't really work. I asked her why she would serve uncooked eggs and by this time my girlfriend had had enough since there wasn't even any more Coffee left for her to drink. It was a joke. I am easy to please but I would not stay there again.
Parking on the hotel territory and the location are nice indeed. Fresco on the ceiling
Rooms are small, strange incomplete wall with space at the top and lots of Mosquitos
Good location, nice room, very tidy
Make sure, that your parking reservation is ok. There was a mistake in their administration and we had to park for a lot of money on the other side of the city.
