A very comfortable and well located hotel for walking the Cinque Terra. Delightful staff and an excellent breakfast. The daily parking was expensive and we were unaware of the cost before booking.

The hotel is just 50 meteres from the railway station, so it is very convinient for people, who travel to 5Terra. There is a parking nearby, which is much cheaper than the garage of the hotel, especially if you book it online. Breakfast was really nice. The hotel is good, probably a bit overpriced. There is no mini bar in the room. However, there is 24 -hour bar downstairs.

Convenient to do a boat tour of the Cinque Terre. Close to the main pedestrian walking street. Breakfast choices were good. Cramped room for 2 adults and a 17 year old. We specifically requested a non- smoking room but were allocated a smoking room. Fortunately the room didn't smell of tobacco smoke. Expensive for the quality.

It is 5 minute walk to the train station to Cinque Terre and a undergreound public parking makes this very convenient location The bath room is too small and the the shower is tiny so it is very uncomfrotable to spend any time inside there. Breakfast is mediocre, the worse of my 12 day trip in Italy. The decor is not quite as good as the pictures on the websites for my taste

The hotel was old and charming with many features of the period intact. It is being constantly maintained to retain it's original charm from 100 or so years ago. Nevertheless the bathroom was quite modern and adequate for our needs. The location was excellent as it was only a short walk to the city centre of La Spezia and more importantly a very short distance from the railway station. We could therefore easily access the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre by train. Pisa & Florence, also Milan & Genoa and many other places were within easy reach. We also walked to the harbour and went by boat to the Cinque Terre (excellent) and also went by bus to Lerici which is wonderful. The lift was a bit scary, very small and original and prone to stopping without warning!

It was right beside the rail station, and yet, you couldn't really hear the noise from the trains. I asked for a quiet room, and that's exactly what I got. Staff speak English; reception is 24 hours. If ever in La Spezia again, I will stay here. A few minor things: no wireless internet access in your room (only bar area); no coffee/tea making facilities in the room; when breakfast ran out (E.G. eggs), it wasn't replenished. Also, there are only 2 elevators that can really only fit 2 or 3 people max, but if someone is using it/keeps the door open, you may have to wait a while for your turn.

The hotel is very conveniently located next to the train station. If you are travelling across Italy by train and want an easy stop over for visiting the Cinque terre then the Hotel Firenze & Continentale is ideally located. It is an easy walk with your bags from the station to the hotel, and then back to the station to catch a train to any one of the five Cinque terre villages. We had no train noise at all from our room. It is an older hotel with character, not an impersonal chain hotel. Our room was very clean and had a modern bathroom.

The room was large, as was the bathroom and facilities were good. Breakfast was lovely. The Hotel is literally 50 yards from Pisa railway station, though no noise in the room. Our stay was quite comfortable. If you travel here by car, parking is a nightmare and the hotel's own parking facilities are expensive at 22 euros a day. Parking is expensive generally anyway and finding a blue bay is very difficult and in the day costs around 1.5 euros an hour. The answer is go by train/public transport!

The hotel is very close to train station but not noisy at all. Few minutes walk to reach ferry to cinque terre. Environment of hotel really cosy. Good sized room and spacious bathroom. Breakfast- held in a wonderful room surrounded by windows leading to a wonderful view . Large selection of genuine food. And most of all exceptional staff who are really helpfull. Receptionist who wisely suggest means of reaching our planned destinations - especially receptionist arianna

We had a wonderful room with a lovely view directly over the Grand Canal. Venice was so hot and crowded that we spent most of our time on the balcony watching and enjoying the street scenes. It is conveniently located, and you can catch the water bus or a water taxi directly outside the hotel at its own pier. The hotel is expensive - particularly the room that we choose. But it was worth it for the extra view.

Breakfast was good and view from rooftop terrace was nice. Much too expensive out of season, compared to other nearby hotels, assuming its because its walking distance from train station. Parking is expensive. Not a good hotel if your renting a car.
