La Controra is a former monastery with garden, transformed into a friendly hostel in the centre of Naples. Rooms have air conditioning.
Score from 319 reviews Very good
good location, very close to the train station
very limited equipment for the shared room
if you want to access easily the campania region, actually this hostel could be your choice. Close to train station (about less than 5mins walk). The reception is very nice.
Location, staff, place, the city. The man taking care of the place very accesible and caring ;)
Stayed here for 2 nights and was very pleased. We read all the reviews on the way to our hotel and we're were going to re consider. It's really not as bad as everyone says! We are two young Aussie girls, and felt safe. The hotel was on the third floor, which had a small lift to get to (wasn't too fussed as I had a backpack) and as soon as we ran the bell the reception man came down and helped us straig away, he was very helpful and welcoming! We weren't used to all the rude Italians but this guy was incredible and lovely, made our stay in Naples very enjoyable! Telling us exactly how to get where and what restaurants to go to! Naples is known as such a dodgy town, but don't let that stop you from going there, it's absolutely beautiful once you look past all the little things. I know we felt safe and would defiantly go back, plus it's only a short train ride from Pompeii, and absolute must see in Italy!
The breakfast wasn't a highlight, but we were on the run anyway so just ate on our way to the train station, or bus. Old man that cleans the rooms, maybe th owner has no personality and couldn't of been ruder, so make sure you avoid him!
Good location, good price, and goo wifi
a little bit old and not so clean
Stuff was very nice, helpful but also funny which is a big plus. Room is clean, comfy and pretty good breakfast. Good experience in total.
Just one step from central station. Which means, one step away from trains to Pompeii and sorrento. The room was ok. Hot water.
The neighborhood was a bit sketchy. But with a bit of precaution its ok. Wifi signal was weak in the rear dorms.
big quiet clean and comfortable room, with small balcony to the inner yard and very adequate breakfast. owners were attentive to our special requests, thanks a lot!
the only problem - card machine was "broken" (all 3 days we've stayed) and we had to get cash from atm (which was +5 euro for us) and pay cash. keep this in mind and come with cash. but this is very tipical for all south italy.
good location (close to Napoli Centrale), silent place for sleep, locked room and personal luggage box
Room on the ground floor was dark as a cave, completely without any phone or internet connection. Despite they claim to be "B&B", I didn't find here nor breakfast, nor kitchen, nor table. Eating in the room was also forbidden. So, where and what to eat here?! I can imagine that somebody has eaten paper in the toilet, because it was also missing. For check-in or out You should go to 3 floor with all Your belongings (lift usually is not working).
Only Wi-Fi is good
- Bad location (Many Black people around the area) - Very Very Rude staffs (Owner), one was smile at me but speak to me with Italian shit slang and he think I can't understand Italian. - No Heater
Nice and cozy place to stay, friendly and helpful staff. Since it's located right near the Central station, I would recommend B&B Firenze32 to everyone, who intends to discover not only Naples itself, but also some beautiful towns nearby.
Breakfast was minimal but brought to the room at the requested time in the morning. Location close to the railway station, every destination easy reachable.
The area around the hotel not very clean, but that is historical Naples...
Breakfast is no breakfast, mini croissant, mini coffee without promised balcony, small window in dark yard,
Location, is really close to the train station and some of the places that you would like to see in the city like the duomo.
The main person at the front desk didnt speak any english so it was hard to comunicate, after check in everybody was gone so if you had any questions too bad. the room smelled like smoke, but also everybody smokes in italy!
Close to train station Complimentary coffee in the morning
Bed linen wasn't the cleanest Bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke
Close the station - which makes it easy to leave!!!!
Conveniently centrally located. The place it self was amazing...super clean and beautifully renovated, retro style interior!!! Absolutely loved it!
The lifts are narrow, but it wasn't a big deal as the B&B was only on the third floor. We used it only to curry up and down our luggage.
Location near the main trainstation Clean bathroom
Dirty room, dirty bading which they didn't change after previously customer, extreamly noisy place. Cheap, uneatable beakfast
The hotel is convenient if you want to be next to Roma train station
The welcoming wasn't friendly, the room seem vey dark, the toilets and lockers in the room make it really noisy. That night the other guests have been very loud but maybe it's not always like that. I barely slept!
The B&B is ideally located 2 minutes walk from central station, in the very heart of historical city, which alone is worth coming to Naples. The room is nice, clean and spacious, having all the stuffings and strong wifi signal. The bathroom is comfortable. The staff is very welcoming, really easy-going and considerate hosts. Thanks guys, I hope to come for a longer stay one day.
Basic accommodation. Clean room. Owner nice.
Only owner spoke English so hard to communicate with staff. Kitchen had no kettle or microwave and was unclean. Location of the accommodation was horrible. Dirty streets, rubbish everywhere and just very messy and unclean.
The location was convenient for using Metro, train, buses and airport. The staff was wonderful and "Geno" went out his way to help. This is near train station so of course you need to be cautious when out and about. We did not have any trouble at all but, you still need to respect the location as to where you are at. I had some great sleep here. Shopping was a blast. Good deals in this location to be had. I would definitely recommend and hope to go back one day. Loved the tile floor.
Breakfast was so so. There were enough cafe's / bar close enough, so no problem on going elsewhere for the real deal.
Next to the trainstation for Pompei and Ercolano.
Great location near the central railway station, not very clean, but enouth, wi-fi: ok, price. There is no normal kitchen (very small and the most for stuff). Storage room.. All is excellent for this price! But you should to have a lock with you!
Clean rooms, excellent wifi, close to train station. Would recommend for one night only.
Dodgy area at night, definitely didn't feel comfortable walking by myself. Beds were a bit shaky. My keys didn't open the main door and there was no breakfast provided even though it's a B&B?
