We were welcomed with an Espresso coffee and croissant. We had an early flight the next morning and we were given a packed breakfast. It was close to the airport.
The room was clean and quite cosy.
The bed was lop-sided on both sides. Mattress seemed to be over-used. Didn't get a good sleep. Is time for them to change their mattress.
A friend and I stayed here for one night because our flight from Rome was leaving the next morning at 10. Since we arrived quite late and had to get up early the next morning, we didn't spend much time at the actual hotel. However, I can speak positively of it. It's indeed very close to the airport, a 5 to 10 minute drive - and the hotel called us a shuttle at the requested time without extra charge. Since we were leaving too early in the morning to have breakfast, they kindly packed a few snacks and a drink "for the road" for us. It only cost 82 euros for the night, too - and for a triple (!) room, which we didn't need as we were only two people. (This price includes the breakfast we didn't have time to have.) The room itself was nice, stylishly decorated (the hotel was clearly renovated recently and the "modern" style is eye-catching), clean and fairly spacious. Shower is large, as is the flat-screen TV. Overall, if we had gotten to stay at the Fiumicino Airport B&B Deluxe longer, it seems we would've quite enjoyed the experience.
Nothing, really. Then again, our stay was very short - we pretty much came there, showered, slept and then left the next morning.
Close to resturant. Lounging area to sit outside and inside. Our flight was to early for us to get breakfast so they packed us a bag of goodies to take with us, including juice.
We wanted a room with 3 beds and we got a room with a queen and roll away bed. It wasn't comfortable for my friend that slept on roll away. We were there for just one night so it wasn't a big problem.
Efficiency of staff, information provided by them on restaurants and transportation to the airport, quick, simple breakfast, everything in the room worked well (except the TV, but we were having storms that night). Location is excellent if you've got a morning flight. The town of Fiumicino is far nicer than we expected, with excellent restaurants.
The wardrobe needed a scrub-out, smelt a bit off. And as with the last time we stayed here, the water has a suphur smell, which is a bit off-putting. But they do put a free bottle of drinking water in the fridge for you.
Everything except the cigarette smell.
Smelled like cigarette smoke
comfy bed, very helpful receptionist. just stayed overnight so not much to form an opoiniion
the surrounding area does not have decent restaurants no English channels on TV
Very tasteful in design Good breakfast Welcoming and friendly hosts
Lacks fresh air because the window located within the building
Had a very short stay, 1 night, ready for a flight home to Australia at 6:30am. Staff were wonderful from the very day I booked the accommodation, with a personal email confirming my reservation. When I inquired about my very early departure, I was assured a transfer could be arranged easily on arrival, and a breakfast pack also be available. Breakfast pack was provided for me on arrival, small, portable and perfect. Staff lovely and friendly, and room was perfect for a pre-flight night.
Although staff arranged transfer with no dramas at all, and the transfer was prompt and helpful, I booked for 3am, and wasn't advised that the airport did not actually physically open, til 4am. Being so close to the airport, I had to wait outside the terminal for over 50 minutes. Not exactly the accommodations responsibility to tell me, but just fair warning to anyone else. Having said that, being at the head of the line was nice for a change!
Great if you need to stay close to the airport
The area is a bit lifeless..
Warm & accommodating hosts. Quaint, clean, well-appointed room. Convenient location.
Clearly impatient, rude, reckless [outsourced] driver deployed for airport pick-up (€25).
The staff were very nice and helpful. The shuttle to the airport in the morning cost 10 Euros and he helped us find the correct terminal.
It was difficult to locate the local taxis to get from the airport to the hotel. We asked many people and received very little information or wrong information. We finally asked a policemand or security officer who directed us correctly. The local taxi cost less than 7 Eros (10 with the tip). The prevelent Rome taxis would have charged 30 to 40 Eros for an eight klm ride.
- efficient transport to airport from B and B - friendly staff, including the loan of a luggage scale so we could weigh our bags - closeness of many local restaurants - fine breakfast - cleanliness
- complexity of getting on the wifi - on our way home from 2 glorious weeks in Italy, our bags were pretty heavy, so we were disappointed to not have a first floor room since there was no elevator. We had to drag our bags up two short flights.
Easy to get to/from the airport, clean, comfortable, low price. I paid for parking, but this is not necessary,as it is possible to park on the street.
Clean. Staff friendly. Bed very comfortable. Nice breakfast.
Taxi to B&B was incredibly frustrating. It cost me 45 Euros. I could have taken a shuttle to Rome and stayed at another B&B for less.
Comfortable spacious room. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Very close to airport, so just perfect for an overnight stop.
Claudette (front desk) went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Very helpful. Even assisted in printing boarding passes. Recommended America Bar next door where we enjoyed wine and snacks and owners invited us back for dinner of homemade lasagna, spaghetti, and wonderful dessert. You won't be diss appointed. Claudette also provided nice sack breakfast nite before as we were leaving early for airport before 7 am breakfast started. Less than 10 mins to airport and provided transportation too.
No complaints! Prefect last nite in Italy.
The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly
We really enjoyed the stay as we arrived mid afternoon and had an early flight the next day. It was very close to the airport and we organised a shuttle in the morning through the staff and this only cost 10 euros. Also the breakfast was included. The staff gave us a drink on arrival which was very welcome.
The staff are so cortious. Accomodating. The room is very comfortable, the shower is good and you get value for your money. I was really crazy enough to have , left my jacket behind and the staff found it and they are now sending it back to me. Thats good service.
The wifi is slow. I hope they can get a faster broadband signal that can accommodate all guest.
convenient location to airport.. clean and comfortable friendly. helpful staff
a bit noisey early in the morning but I guess to be expected as other travelllers connecting to various flight times
Good localion (near the aeroport) and good breakfast.
we were under the impression that this b & b was close to the airport and thought it would be a good idea to spend the night nearby as we had an early flight. it was a couple of miles away, and the airport taxis charge a fixed fee to Fiumincino of 35 euros. it would have been cheaper to stay near Termini in Rome and travel the following morning.what a waste of money!
3 k from the airport makes it convenient. It was nice that they arranged a ride back to the airport for 10 euros.
The B&B is located in a rundown, littered residential neighborhood with very few nearby eateries. The airport taxis charge 25 euros (their flat fee) to get there, which negated any cost savings. Our room smelled stale and the bedspread smelled like old cigarette smoke.
