We (2 adults and two kids) have stayed for 4 nights. Although it is stated in the listing that the towels are replaced only once every 7 night stay, we thought that was a bit excessive. We thought that to have some fresh towels on the 3rd day would have been nice. The bed in the bedroom needs some fixing. People might think there is something wrong with the mattress, but that is not true. The bed is a typical platform bed so common in Europe. That implies wooden planks that support the mattress underneath. The planks, for some reason kept popping out of the frame and the mattress kept on sinking in various places. This was annoying. The building is very old, which is once again very typical and very charming. However, we felt that the pluming is just as old. The sink in the bathroom feels up quickly and doesn’t drain properly. It wasn’t a major issue for us as there was another sink in the kitchenette, but I can see how some people will find it inconvenient. Having said that, the apartment was a great value for the money and when in Rome one doesn't spend much time in the apartment – there is so much to see and to do. We would rent it again in a heartbeat.
The location of this 1 Bdrm apartment with kitchenette could not be any better: right around the corner from the famous Campo de Fiory and a 3 min walk to Piazza Navona, yet tacked away on a tiny quiet street away from all the noise. To our surprise, there was an elevator right by the apartment, making it very convenient for the people with a heavy luggage. This was not our case as we like to travel light, but clearly it’s an added benefit. There is a small convenience store 4 min walk from the apartment where we found all we needed for breakfast. The bus # 40 (express runs every 6min) and #64 to the Roma Termini is right around the corner not more than 2 min. walk. We used #40 once and it took us no more than 15 min to get to the central rail station.
Giorgio, the manager, is very courteous and pleasant to deal with. Although we were running a bit late for our check-in, he waited for us at the apartment. He provided us with some recommendations for the restaurants in the area, which were indeed very good. I had several questions before our arrival and they all were answered via email in a timely fashion.
