My adult son & I were visiting Rome for the first time & this was the perfect place for us. Closeby were wonderful restaurants, a community feel of the neighborhood, a piazza w/necessary souvenir venders, exchange office, & Hop On, Hop Off bus ticket seller. Not to mention Vatican City so close! At the flat, the staff were friendly & helpful, the beds comfy, our rooms nicely decorated w/foresight to our every need. Will definitely stay again!
In America the breakfast is cooked & served for us, so having to do the cooking ourselves was a bit of a surprise, but not a big deal. When we first arrived staff had left for a meal, so we were locked out. It was confusing & unsettling. Leaving a short note, "back in a few minutes" & the time would have been so much more comforting. Michele promised to help take care of my son's transport the next morning, but didn't show. He also promoted the Metro for Friday transport. Luckily, we'd made other plans because, as it turned out, they were on strike that day. His other directions & suggestions were right on tho'. :)
