Great location, helpful staff
Difficult to arrive by car
Excellent location, can walk to everywhere. Checkin is across the street in La Scarlette hotel and reception is on 3rd floor so you need to take bags and up and down in small lift to check in. Fridge in room.
Good for the price
Check out time too early 10:30h
We loved the fact that we were within walking distance of everything and yet were immune from the hustle and bustle of the city itself because of the air conditioning and the sound proof rooms. It was like living in an apartment. The dinner on the roof top of Hotel La Scaletta, the sister hotel was incredible! The views and the service and the food- recommend it as a finale to your stay in Florence.
this was not anywhere near as good as the photos. Turned out to be that this b&b was more of an annexe to a nearby hotel as it occupied about 5 rooms on the third floor of the building opposite. Water was cold in the bathroom and one evening it simply didn't work at all.
The staff were helpful and the location was fabulous - right at the Ponte Vechio. The room was fine and the building is quirky which makes it interesting.
The car park costs 30 euro per night and it is difficult to get there due to one way streets.
Close to everything. Nice room. If the wifi worked I would recommend it to other people. But it didn't.
Early check out at 10.30.. No wi-fi. And no reception. Had to cross the street to get there. And it was a bit difficult to find the check in. It was at the other hotel across the street. But still worth going there!
Its the perfect location.
Reception felt a long way away, but it was fine.
Views from the breakfast balcony were a lovely start to the morning. (It's also a restaurant/bar in the evening) Staff were very helpful. Location brilliant - spitting distance from Ponte Vecchio and easy walks to Pitti Palace, Uffizi Museum etc.
No view from our room. The Old Bridge is actually apartment buildings opposite 'La Scaletta' hotel which is where the breakfast rooms are, so every morning involves leaving one building crossing the road & climbing 3 floors to the breakfast room. If I were to come back, I would probably try & get a room at 'La Scaletta' instead where I'm told the views are better aswell....
Less than 100m from the Ponte Vecchio! How good is that? Brilliant location, comfortable rooms and good bathrooms. We chose not to buy breakfast across the road, but it looked good. We arrived early and were able to leave luggage and go out walking straight away. Friendly staff, good information. Did I mention the great location?
the location, the quiet room, a good size bathroom, great breakfast and terrace.
only a small window, no telephone
location was good
not so friendly staff and the parking availabilities
Location - perfect for exploring Florence.
Location is good
Very dirty rooms, No hot water, Bed very uncomfortable due to old collapsed mattress, Room very small,
The location is amazing. The rooms are nice and dark and quiet at night so it was very peaceful. The wifi worked great as well. It was super hot the week I was there in June so the AC was awesome! The view from the breakfast room was great and the staff was super friendly.
The pillows are stiff and very flat. The mattress was also firm and springy. You would think that a day in the Italian sun pounding pavement would exhaust you enough to pass out at night, but no. I woke up a few times during the night uncomfortable. It was hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. Although the AC was awesome during the day, at night it got chilly with no way to control it since it's controlled on the hotel timer. I had to use the blanket in the closet. It really shouldn't be called a B&B if breakfast isn't included. At €10 it was a good value for the variety, but it still should be included with the room.
the hotel has another brancj across the street with the same owner called "La Scaletta" We pais some extra and got an amazing room/ For 200Euro we later switched to a suite with Frsko (deiling painting) amazing view-service-location-food highly recommended!!
Location and panoramic view bar
To reach a reception is tricky with the luggage as one need to go up the stairs to reach the lift. Crazy orange walls are a bit too much.
The location. So close to Ponte Veccia bridge and within comfortable walking of the centre of Florence. The breakfast at the sister hotel La Scaletta was a must. Fantastic! And we loved having a beer on the roof terrace early evening
The shower was very temperamental! It even stopped during my shower mid hair wash! And would often go cold. Woke me up though!!
Excellent location very near to Ponte Vecchio.
Paper thin walls meant it was very noisy in the mornings.
Location and thats it.
Bathroom had a smell from the drain pipes. Shower hot cold then hot then cold.
Excellent location, very friendly staff
A bit confusing when collecting key
My third and final good choice in Italy. Location was great. Room was clean quiet and comfortable. It was a day of mishaps and the staff could not have been more understanding to me.
Like the other B&Bs. There is not a way to communicate with desk from room but that is probably why the rates are so reasonable
Very close to Ponte Vecchio. Situated very central and thus close to everything! Good restaurants nearby.
Checking in a bit confusing, but only because the numbering of the buildings are a bit confusing!
