The Hotel Selene is just off Via Nazionale, a popular shopping street which leads to Repubblica Metro Station and to Roma Termini Train Station.
Score from 823 reviews Excellent
In a 19th-century building, the Quirinale is a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. This historic hotel is connected to Rome Opera House through a passageway in its leafy courtyard.
Score from 3484 reviews Very good

Score from 1751 reviews Very good
Very good location, walking distance to Termini. Modern quite soundprouff rooms, good beds. Free tea/coffe is avaible all day.
Clean, very close to metro, helpful staff, good breakfast options, excellent location with great variety of shops nearby
A slight smell of sewage in the room, but I would guess it's in all of the hotels (ie. normal) because we smelt it in other places.
Location Free communal access to coffee and juice and free inroom water refreshed daily Huge shower though water temperature an issue
Tiny room No toiletries eg tissues, bottled shampoo and body wash Egg omelette for breakfast is microwaved and horrible - too sweets focused 4 flights of stairs to hotel with large suitcase quite a difficult task with no concierge service Really noisy because all rooms are on one floor
The hotel was the best looking in the building, very modern with good breakfast facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Wifi is free and we got very good signal while in the hotel. Free tea, coffee and orange juice is available in the hotel and the choice of food at breakfast is the best I've had the three time I've been to Rome.Hotel was easy to find, the location was good, a minute away from a taxi rank and within walking distance of all sights if you don't mind walking.
Breakfast excellent. Tea/coffee available all day. Good beds and reliable wifi
3rd floor, lift too small. and not comfort with luggage.
The hotel has something like 37 rooms, and less than 20 seats in the breakfast room. If you consider that most rooms are double.. you can get an idea of the queue in the morning. Very bad, and not a nice surprise. We had to leave early (5AM) and could not get a cup of coffee since starting the machine would have make too much noise for the nearby rooms..
Breakfast was excellent and substantial. Really nice to be able to return to the hotel during the day and have a cold drink or a coffee. Lovely rooms. Staff very nice. Lift very old but did the job!
Location , near to the tourist center and the railway station. Clean and nice design rooms and bathrooms. Nice breakfast Free water, juice and coffee during stay
A lot of noise in the hallway of passing hotel guests in front of the room Very small single room Noisy in the morning while preparing breakfast in the room just next to my room
- nice small hotel for a reasonable price; - good location for sightseeing (metro stop next to the hotel; you can also walk to the Colosseum, centrum and river, which are located 1-2 km away). - good wifi connection
- a bit hard to find (this hotel is located in old house with few other hotels); - a bit noisy, especially at breakfast time
Walking distance from Termini. Quiet rooms. No street noise. Friendly service. As we were leaving early before the regular breakfast time the staff let us eat while they were still setting up. The breakfast was unbelievable.
Great breakfast and comfortable bed.
The staff was doIng dishes at 11:00 at night and woke me up.I complained to the staff but I could still hear him. The noise began again around 5:00am.
Staff so helpful especially front of house staff. Breakfast first class. Tea, Coffey, Juice free all day.Lovely place right in the heart of Rome.
Lift a bit on the scary side.
The modern room and breakfast area, the location, and the helpful staff.
Everything, even the small, horror movie elevator :) Very nice room, very good breakfast and helpful staff. Also, nice and center location.
Poorly signed so you have the chance and walking past you hotel, like we did :D
In brief it is a very cosy yet equipped hotel , I think the staff willingness to help and hotel central location is what will give you value for money The staff really go the extra mile to help (hands on experience) Wifi perfect
The only downside ( which I personally didn't mind) is that it's located in a building with other hotel establishments
i didnt know what to expect, but i was amazed.
a bit small, but ok.
the room is spacious; the breakfast offers a lot of choices; I love the show stuff in the toilet. The location is fantastic.
The canteen is close to our room. during the breakfast there was a staff keep cleaning the dishes and made a lot of noise. If they do it more quietly that will be superb!
Step away from Repubblica train station, which connects you to everything. The windows open nice and wide. You can wash your clothes in the shower and hang them on the line there. The breakfast buffet is great and goes for hours. The shampoo is chic. The mineral water is generous. The fridge stores your picnic food. The internet was instant and easy. The building was amazing retro 1950s-1960s Rome. Very good supermarket steps away. Five minutes to amazing churches and museums. Space felt private, cool, quiet and clean - almost like going back to your own studio apartment, despite the tiny price.
Lighting for bathroom mirror was the usual hideous and unforgiving hotel standard. E.G. Corpse lighting. No full-length mirror, which was annoying. Apart from that, I'll go back like a rocket.
It can be said that you should not expect elevator to be working if you are coming. It's the one where the door should be closed manually, and many tourists just don't do that when it's on the top floors. So if you don't mind carrying your suitcase, it's a great hotel indeed. I loved it. Maybe management will find a solution for this (for example, you could put a phone down the stairs, and if there is a trouble with the elevator, someone could get it for the client).
Nice modern rooms with a good location near centre of Rome and a great breakfast.
Everything except the elevator.
The elevator needs an urgent update.
Walking distance to all the important sites and close to the met.
From the duty managers to the cleaners, all the staff ensured that our stay at the Floris Hotel was memorable. My room was cleaned and the fridge replenished daily. The AC was life saving and I would not have survived the hot humid temperature in late July. Franco John found the sewing kit and was ready to help when my dress strap broke just before my journey home. Andreas was there when I need to navigate around the Italian Internet. Thank you all.
The hotel was badly sign posted, it took several attempts before we found it and then it was on the fourth floor.
Location, breakfast, wi-fi, staff, cleanliness, spaciousness, decor
They need a much better sign outside. It's in a building on the fourth floor and there are other hotels on the 1st and 2nd floors, but they have large signs and the Floris has one tiny sign.
