Score from 1097 reviews Very good
In a sober and elegant building, Pace Elvetia is in the very heart of Rome. From the hotel you can walk down to Piazza Venezia and the Coliseum, or up towards the Quirinale Hill.
Score from 421 reviews Good
The location is very good everything close to the hotel. The staff are always welcome and give information about anything we asked for
The bathroom is very small
Great location, comfortable facilities, friendly and helpful staff.
Wifi was very temperamental. Only one spot in the room that could get a strong enough signal, which happened to be right in the corner. No notice that the Trevi was under renovation!!
Location good and in general the hotel, even old, is clean and acceptable in terms of size of rooms.
Better layout of toilet could be done.
The hotel is ugly and the breakfast is fair.the rooms are very not clean.i can't go anymore at this ugly hotel
the location. If the Trevi fountain had not been coverered in scaffholding the view from the breakfast room would have been spectacular.
very small rooms. Our friends had a twin that was not big enough for a single and the second bed had been pushed in.
Location +++++, room interior and decor of the rest of the property was great!
Squeeking floor and bathroom solution. The shower was too smal and to use the toilet seat you have to sew you up between the bidet and the sink and when you sat there you had the sink in the leap, literally.
Construction of Trevi fountain across the street
Location Staff Breakfast
No tea making facilities in rooms. Room 108 -1 very dark even with all the many lights on. No hooks for robe/PJ's in bathroom, no shelf in shower for toiletries etc.
Location is perfect, if only the renovation the Trevi Fountain had been finished we would have been delighted. So disappointed we did not expect the whole of the fountain to be under renovation,
Disappointed that the only view was scaffolding, guest should have been told how extensive the renovations are.
Easy walking distance to all points of interest. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Decent size room very clean and tidy.
Thought 15€ each for breakfast was expensive. The shower room was very small so small there was no room any where for a toilet roll holder so was just on the floor.
Good location a bit old but was clean
On morning we checked out I utilize my debit card on file to pay. I did not use my card again. On return home I discovered that we had check out at 9:00am and at 10:30am a large atm withdrawal was made from my account. Made me a bit suspicious!!!
We had an excellent room overlooking the Trevi Fountain. Towels & linen were changed daily. Staff were friendly & helpful. Ideally situated with attractions within walking distance & lots of restaurants & shops in the area. I love this hotel :)
Hairdrier was ineffective, I would take my own another time Shower was hand held, there was no rest on the wall for shower head. Just small niggles, as I will definitely be returning to this hotel.
Location was excellent. Staff was good.
The rating of 4 stars is a joke. This Hotel is old and needs upgrade Also, the room shown on the website is the only room of its kind~ we had two rooms, neither of which compared in any way to the room shown as an example.
location Good buffet breakfast.. Had a front room even with the work on the fountain and the crowds there was no noise.
Reception staff a bit surly. The Trevi fountain was covered in scaffolding and will be until 2015, but that's not the hotels fault.
I loved the location and the staff the most. I ended my Italy vacation with a few days alone back in Rome and therefore stayed in a Single room which although small, was all I needed to sleep and shower etc. I was not spending time in the room, but had a very quite and good nights sleep. The staff were amazing and I felt safe and location to everything I needed was perfect. It is an old Monastery and it is an old building but all the more the real feel of Rome.
I look forward to trying a larger room next time when I travel with a companion and/ or I have booked ahead of time... But seriously no complaints from me.
The hotel is small but very functional. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was small but the space was unique and well planned out.
The bathroom was not finished very well with unsealed holes in the wall - easy for bugs to crawl in and out of.
An AA male staff member who carried the luggage and assisted guests was sincerely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast selection and food were excellent.
The man in charge of breakfast seemed to hate his job and the guests. Truly. Front desk staff aloof and indifferent.
Proximity to main attractions, restaurant overlooking the Trevi Fountain.
Trevi Fountain was being renovated!
Bathroom. Shower to small, toilet in an awkward position.
Right on top of the Fountain. Close to shops and Restaurants. General feeling of bon homie about it. Best place in Rome
Great location opposite trevi fontain
Old and run down, Very loud hotel, smallest bathroom/shower not great value for money. The scaffolding was up around the fountain but you were not told of this untill you had booked.
Staff friendly and accommodating.
Some staff were very helpful
Bathroom bit small ,very noisy outside and extremely crowded with tourists constantly pushing barely move, loads of beggars ,says sky tv but you have to pay extra for this .
