Immersed in the Chianti Classico wine region, this charming village dates back to the 1400s. It offers a free wellness centre, summer outdoor pool and a traditional restaurant. Greve in Chianti is 9 km away. Rooms at Fonte De' Medici are located in restored medieval houses around the village. Each has Tuscan-style furnishings with wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Some rooms include a fireplace. At the wellness centre, you can relax in the sauna and Turkish bath. There is a fitness centre and the Medici's free bikes are ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside. Wine-tasting sessions can be arranged on request in the Tignanello wine cellar. The restaurant serves local specialities and a continental breakfast each morning. The estate is 30 km south of Florence and a 20-minute drive from Barberino Val d'Elsa. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are charming and well spread out around the property. The restaurant is affordable and the dishes are delicious. The gardens, tennis court and pool also appear well kept. Beautiful location that is close to a number great little towns like Grieve in Chianti. Very close to Florence but far enough away to be very quiet. Great proximity to Badia e Passignano, a must-see vineyard, cellar and restaurant owned by the Antinori family. Close to a number of other top Chianti producers. The WiFi is quite patchy and didn't work in our room. But this is not a location for surfing the Internet.

è um tipico hotel de campo,cercado de belíssimas paisagens.Não ha luxos , mas é uma hospedagem honesta. Surpreende o Restaurante ,com pratos bem acima do nível que se poderia esperar num local deste tipo. É muito bom não ser obrigado a sair toda noite para ir comer e ainda por cima ter a possibilidade de ter uma otima refeição e bons vinhos a um preço justo.Toda a equipe do hotel é muito simpática e prestativa. A internet é prometida WiFi sómente na área da recepção ,mas nos 5 dias que la estivemos não funcionou em momento algum.

Siamo arrivati alle 21,20 stanchi e sfiduciati dopo un overbooking con pessimo trattamento da parte di un'altra struttura. Prenotando, a causa della stanchezza, non ho letto le "informazioni importanti" che indicavano la chiusura della reception alle ore 20,00. Non trovando, quindi, nessuno ad accoglierci, abbiamo chiesto informazioni al ristorante all'interno dell'agriturismo. Nonostante l'ora tarda, ci hanno dato subito un tavolo per la cena e lo chef, gentilissimo e in un ottimo italiano (previo accordo telefonico con la gestione) ci ha fatto riscaldare la stanza in modo che dopo cena fosse pronta ad ospitarci, provvedendo a farci accompagnare alla stessa. Al mattino dopo, abbiamo regolarizzato la registrazione con una receptionist estremamente professionale e cordiale, che ci ha omaggiato anche di una bottiglia di ottimo Chianti. Location molto bella, nello splendido contesto delle colline del Chianti, personale professionale e cortese, ottimo ristorante con buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Da ritornarci assolutamente. Se proprio proprio devo trovare qualcosa... Forse I materassi della stanza non erano all'altezza dello standard qualitativo della struttura. Ma è un dettaglio che nulla toglie alla comodità del soggiorno.

Das Fonte De' Medici ist jederzeit weiter zu empfehlen, wir hatten dort wunderschöne Tage. Es liegt sehr ruhig mit einem herrlichen Blick auf die umgebenden Hügel und Weinberge. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, Frühstück und auch die Küche des zugehörigen Restaurants sind sehr gut. Die Zimmer bzw. Suiten sind geräumig und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Zu empfehlen ist die angebotene Tour durch den Tignanello-Weinkeller und die anschließende Weinprobe. Am Fonte De' Medici gab es in unserem Urlaub nahezu nichts zu bemängeln. Lediglich der Fußboden in unserem Badezimmer hätte gründlicher gereinigt sein dürfen.

Gli interni sono in stile per il tipo di edifici e contesto. L'esterno con il giardino ben curato e la piscina, ottimamente arredato e con un buon design. Anche la cucina era molto valida e con personale cortese e preparato. Nulla in particolare. Forse i materassi non dei migliori, ma si può soprassedere. Il servizio wi-fi non prende in tutti i punti della Struttura.

The setting was breathtaking and staff was wonderful! It was nice to have a restaurant serving great food and wine right there so it was not necessary to drive. We enjoyed the wine tasting too. Very convenient for daytrips in Tuscany and in the middle of vineyards so it was very quiet with plenty of walking trails. Only that our bed was not very comfortable - new matress was badly needed.
