We've been at that place for a week.First-this is not hotel - something like gasthous maybe. Since we've been book deluxe double room we expected to be in it. But NO. It seams like the personel (2 persons- cleaning lady and Luigy-concierge I think) were prety familiar with one word in english -PROBLEM. They tried to get us another room, which were behind the front desk on 2-nd floor and it looks like a service room (no windows !?). Now the explanation- ten minutes italian with around 20 times word: PROBLEM - until we've been realized it something about plumber problem, but don't worry - tomorrow everithing will be allright. First night - terrible, to much noise, and room was realy dirty, not only floor and bathroom -the sheets were awful. At the first morning we had a real surprice - because that wasn't our room we had to leave the room until 11:00h and gues what, wait until 14:00 to get in so called "our room" (explanation in italian once again!). You may be interested of following facts: 1. There is no shield HOTEL at the Via Cavour 294. 2. There is no ELEVATOR for the guest. 3.Front desk is on 2-nd floor and a couple of standard rooms. 4. So called "Deluxe rooms" were on 4-th floor. 5.There is no manager or simply somebody who speaks any other language exept italian. Don't get me wrong - I like italian language and the way it sounds, BUT helloo it's a tourist destination. 6.The breakfast was terrible all the time. 7. So called "hotel" has around 20 rooms in residential building. 8. At the front desk ther is a plate of Real Estate Agency - no word about the hotel. Next 3 days we've got lucky - no problems, just regular smell of mold in the room and the same all dirty sheets and towels. Ironic, ha? So far with the good times.
The staff is genuine and willing to help, the location is excellent
It didn't feel comfortable at all, room next to the reception and breakfast room, one morning they cut off the water in the building, our room just had some work done so half of the wall was still unpainted and with the the work visible, bathroom too small ( though very clean) i would't call this place a hotel but more a hostel
Excellent ubication Fotos service
The location to the Colossuem is great. Less than a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was good with a nice assortment.
Paid a large amount for two twin beds to be added to a standard room. The sheets were dirty and we had no hot water for showers. The elevator did not work, so you had to walk up several flights of stairs to get to your room. Did not feel safe in the hotel due to condition of the doors. They showed damage around the lock areas and the center of the door. I feel that the reviews about this hotel were not a good representation of what we received. I am extremely upset with the amount I paid for the hotel room compared to what I received. I would of stayed at another hotel nearby and spent twice amount if I knew then what I know now!
the location was excellent, the staf was really nice and friendly. the breakfast was good.
The elevator was not working
The location and breakfast are good.
Many stairs, no elevator to reach the 4th floor with baggages.
The staff was very friendly. The location was amazing, 5 min from the Colliseum and the Roman Forum. The room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was nice.
We arrived late and there was no one at the reception. But we called and they were there in 5 minutes.
Small room. Elevator not in service.
Location is excellent. Just minutes from the Coliseum and with really nice restaurants on the doorstep. Staff did their best to accommodate but there was a bit of a language barrier. We were allowed in early though so we were very grateful to leave our cases and start our sightseeing.
We were in the dark red room, which felt very bleak. It was extremely noisy with the window open (but then I guess that's to be expected if you choose a central location). Breakfast was poor - even the fruit looked unappetising with bruised and wrinkled apples. Stick to the pastries and yoghurt. You may be offered coffee, but then again you may not.
The staff was really polite, nice and helpful. Good tips were given all the time on what to do and how. Luigi is the number 1!!!!
The noise form the street. Bring along earplugs!
Great location, nice breakfast, the buidling is old with antique room decor
room finish and furniture are a bit worn out
The location was amazing! Walking distance to everything and away from the seedy parts of Rome! The breakfast was very cute and my experience in all was wonderful!
Location is very good.
Breakfast was terrible. Blankets were without cover and dirty! Rooms are at 4th floor without elevator.
The location was incredible and the free breakfast was so good! There is free wifi which is awesome and the rooms were pretty good size. The water was warm, the beds were comfortable, safe available, and there was a closet with hangers. I felt really safe in the room and it was amazing to walk out of the room and see the Coliseum just 2 blocks away. The hotel was extremely flexible with my reservations too. They accommodated an super early check in and extended my stay one night with no problem. I would highly recommend them to anyone traveling to center Rome. You really get a great value for your price!
The staff didn't speak as well of English as I had hoped but the manager knew enough to communicate the basics.
The road on which the hotel was located was very noisy. The fact that the hotel rooms were all on the third floor and there was no lift. Not good for elderly visitors.
Location was excellent, staff very friendly
The shower leaked and the hairdryer wasn't very efficient
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Design of the room is unique. Ok for money.
Some facilities do not work and seem quite old. Toilet shower needs some improvement.
Good location, on a main street and 3 mins walk from Colosseum Room very nice and clean
Reception is not 24-7, and receptionist does not speak good english
I loved how central it was. The staff were friendly and tried to help when they could.
I disliked that the staff couldn't speak English. It was hard to even talk to them about a laundry service ( which they couldn't tell me anyway ). My friend injured her foot and there was at least 6 flights of stairs until we got to our room there was an elevator but we weren't allowed to use it?
The room was excellent! Everything was just awesome!
wi-fi didn't work at our room and staff didn't speak English at all.
Excellent location. 5 minutes to Colosseum and Vittoriano. Very helpful personnel. Did I mentioned excellent location? :)
Very nice location
Hard to found
This is definitely not a 3 star hotel!! I would not recommend staying here! Shabby and dirty! Very noisy street.
