Just opposite of the train station. Good coffee. Very friendly staff.
Bed was a bit hard. Included breakfast was very basic (coffee, juice, 1 croissant). Full breakfast available as extra option
Location opposite the station and free shuttle bus from the ferry port
The location was across from the train station, which was perfect for catching an early morning train. The room was good and clean, the bed comfortable. In spite of the fact that the hotel was on a busy street, the windows kept out the street noise.
The hotel is in a busy, run down area where food options are quick pizza shops or the really pricey restaurant the hotel recommended. We had gotten off of the ferry and couldn't find a cab so walked with our bags to the hotel, which was a good mile on some busy roads in a very congested area.
I had a real good stay!
Proximity to Railway Station & Ferry Terminals
They took me more money than booking for breakfast and tax
Ivan on the front desk was very helpful in explaining where to go, what to see, bus numbers to catch, he was the font of all local knowledge .
I was travelling with my 11 year old daughter and I had a thoroughly good night sleep and good breakfast in a quiet room. Great service from reception and early check in was really appreciated.
Only downside was door slamming in the middle if night as others let door slam as leaving!
- Near the train station - Large room - Nice price
- Very small bathroom - Old furniture
perfect location close to the railway station, simple but all one needs for a stopover
Pleasant hotel close to the port.
Right across the train station, bus to the ferry terminal stops in front.
Very close to train station. Good size room. Helpful staff.
close to the train station, nice staff
Great location, right across from train station. Short bus ride to entrance to cruise terminal. Comfortable, clean, quiet.
My room was clean and functional, but rather dark and badly lit. The common areas of the hotel were all very clean but felt rather jaded/run down. The room doors seem to need the key to be put in and turned to close, but many guests do not seem to realize this causing lots of disturbing banging of doors late at night and in the early morning. I chose to stay here because of its proximity to the station, which is only across the road, as I was using Ancona as a base to explore the region. However the hotel is a good half hour walk from the city center, which is something to keep in mind if you wish to eat out in the evening. On my final day I checked out and handed in the key at reception and then went for breakfast. Although I had paid in advance on booking.com (and so obtained a somewhat cheaper rate by making a non-cancelable reservation) I was met on my way out with a demand for an additional Euro 7.50 for City taxes, which they stated was not included in what I had paid. Having subsequently closely looked at my booking I now see that it says taxes are not included, in very small print. But it does not specify the amount of taxes. Despite extremely frequent use of booking.com and travel round Italy I've never encountered such a separate demand before, although I've certainly paid city taxes they were never hidden like this but included in the main bill. It was very annoying as I was in a rush to leave the hotel to get the airport bus... Which brings me onto the unhelpful staff. The staff were unable to advise me on when the airport bus would be, and wrongly advised me I needed to buy a ticket at the tobacconist (it can be brought on board). You'd have thought that they would keep a timetable, but no that would be too much effort.
The generous hospitality of the staff.
Comfortable large bed Good breakfast with variety Quiet Near to station and buses for ferry terminal and port Large lean bathroom
It is located just across from Ancona station. Breakfast was very nice! If you arrive at night, it is good to stay for 1day to access the other city next day.
Location amd staff friendliness
Breakfast could have been richer and wifi more efficient (wasn't too bad though)
clean, convenient, excellent location, reasonable price
TV monitor not working, Baidu in bathroom not working
Proximity to train station, fireflies outside the window
Transport to port expensive. Taxi only available at €17
Location if you need to be near (at!!) railway station, is excellent. Staff helpful.
Breakfast poor. It is a run down hotel badly in need of renovation. Guests (Italian??) raiding the meat, cheese and rolls to make a heap of lunches!!
The breakfast was great! And the WiFi was good but cuts out a lot. The people at front desk were really helpful and enjoyable to talk to.
The beds were very hard and made it uncomfortableto sleep. also we wished there was a cooler or mini fridge in our room as we bought produce in the market and had no where to put them.
This is a great hotel for the money. Their staff is fabulous and will help in every way they can. If you want a five star hotel, this will not meet your expectations, but if you want a very clean, modern, and comfortable hotel, this is the one for you. The breakfast that comes with the hotel is also fantastic. I totally recommend this hotel to everyone, especially those staying in Ancona in preparation for a cruise. It is close and they will get a taxi for you (15 Euros) to the port that will drop you right at the in-processing point.
