Everything about the Hotel 47 experience was excellent, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The location for a visit to Rome was perfect for those whe enjoy walking around a city. It was close to many of the major monuments, resteraunts, and public transport. The accomodation was excellent with wonderful views over some of Rome's ancient temples. The breakfast was very good and staff helpful.

We were in Italy for the first time for our honeymoon. - staff were absolutely amazing. They were knowledgable and friendly. We instantly felt welcome. - location was great. Almost all the major attractions were within walking distance. Only place we took the bus for was the galleria borghese (bus 83) - cute nespresso coffee machine in the room I would recommend to a friend

- Rooms a bit small for price but that's expected for Europe and you're really paying for the location. - basic amenities missing for a 4-star hotel, like a toothbrush kit or housekeeping forgetting to replace the coffee and sugar for multiple days. We were surprised when we asked for an extra towel at night, we were told the housekeeping staff had left so the bellboy got us the towel.

Right in the hart of the city.We could walk to all the sights, The hotel was clean staff where more then helpful and had a good command of English. Rooms where a good size, modern, with all the little things that make it just that bit more special.

Generally everything was good.

A bit noisy at night because of the road.

The staff were amazing and most welcoming. The hotel was in a perfect location with access to all key tourist attractions.

You can hear every single word and sound from the corridor and neighbouring rooms. They need bitterly to make their rooms soundproof. Our staying was absolutely sleepless. Nothing special about service.

The service was OUTSTANDING. I've stayed at several hotels in Rome over the years, probably 10-12 or so, and none have been memorable enough to cause me to return. I think I have finally found a good hotel. The rooms were modern and nice and clean, read king size beds, not 2 small beds pressed together (I hate that), and real glass-enclosed showers with plenty of room to turn around and real water pressure, not some old-fashioned bath tub with a hand held nozzle to soak the floor rather than yourself (I hate those too) or the tiny shower stalls that are like 30 inches square where you can barely turn around (I hate those too) and a good breakfast with actually good scrambled eggs and legitimately free and fast wifi (Its ridiculous that some hotels still charge for internet service. do they charge for electricity too?) and the location was pretty central to everything and the service was outstanding. that was the best thing. Alina, the desk worker who checked us in, was especially helpful helping me to find an apple store and a car and driver so I could get my broken mac fixed.

Didn't like hair dryer and there weren't enough electrical outlets in room to plug in cell phone or computer chargers or my own hair dryer.

Location, location, location. We were able to walk to and from almost all the major sites in Rome, including the Vatican/Castel Sant'Angelo and the Borghese Gallery. Some locations were so close (Trastevere, Capitoline Hill, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona) that we visited them repeatedly for dining and strolling. A real bonus. Also, the room was exceptionally comfortable, with a king bed and one of the largest showers I have ever had in a hotel. Further, the staff was so engaged in helping us with arrangements, reservations, directions, etc that we were able to focus on just enjoying the trip Also, while the hotel was on the expensive side, an excellent daily breakfast and ok WiFi service was included in the price. There were zero surprises when the bill arrived.

The Hotel was recommended by friends who stayed there last October - and we were so happy they did!!! The staff was courteous and professional; the woman who checked us in gave us the names of 3 restaurants, and their directions. We ate at two of them and were very happy with our choices. The hotel itself was very centrally located for what we wanted to do (mostly wander and soak in the city life, plus see some of the major sites). The rooftop Circus restaurant was a complete treat - the food and service were excellent. It was the perfect ending for our two weeks in Italy.

Our only complaint would be that our upstairs neighbor liked to drag chairs across the floor at odd hours. That being said, we rarely heard anyone else around us except for the occasional door closing.

The staff was very accommodating. I especially liked Claudia.

Fantastic location! I can walk to half of the famous spot. Good food in top roof restaurant. Big room and clean.

The staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful, room service was prompt, laundry was turned around quickly (usually next day). Very good location in a part of Rome that is not too hectic, but close to the city centre.

walls could do with being soundproofed - there was a couple of occasions when we could hear the rooms below.

Food overpriced, and terrible. Spaghetti carbonara tasted like Kraft mac and cheese, and the stuffed shells were as bland as tomato sauce out of a can.

The staff was incredibly helpful, courteous, and service oriented. Really, this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in terms of customer service.

The personal service was outstanding. One of our friends was taken ill and not only did the hotel staff accompany us to the hospital but stayed the night as family would do. Nothing was too difficult for the reception desk to organise. The breakfasts in the courtyard took us away from the hustle and bustle of Rome as did the roof top bar and restaurant. A definite must for us whenever we return to Rome.
