Hotel Forum  

De ligging van het hotel is perfect. Vanaf het dakterras (waar het ontbijt wordt geserveerd) een prachtig uitzicht over het forum en het Capitool.

Het ontbijt was inbegrepen in de prijs van de kamer, maar het was wel aan de magere kant.

Het hotel was perfect. Het was sfeervol en de ligging super. Overal vlakbij. Wij hadden een 3 persoonskamer, deze was heel ruim. Als we nog eens naar rome gaan, neem ik zeker dit hotel weer.

Sfeervol hotel, fantastische locatie middenin het 'oude Rome' Geweldig uitzicht zowel vanuit het restaurant als vanuit de kleine bar op het dak van het hotel.

Very good hotel. Not low cost but reasonable for a city hotel with good levels of comfort and service. Roof top restaurant/bar were great. Being able to see the Colusseum and Forum and other key hostoric locations whilst haveing a meal was wonderful. Location was the key to this hotel. Right slap bang in amongst it. Just a walk - long or short - to everything really.

The location couldn;t be better! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Forum!

The veiws are stunning,the location exellent, parking expensive, the roof top resturant nice.

The rooms I had booked through booking.com one was what I expected the other was diabolical, I asked at the desk to show me a room worse than mine they declined and moved me to a double the next day which was very nice, but I still had to pay for the first night.Had they not got my credit card details I would have left straight away, do not stay in room 222 and make sure you demand to know you are not in it.Do not expect preferential seating on the roof top restaraunt because you are staying either and do not waste your time on there free cocktails from 7.30-8.00 pm the bar tender was so offensive we left and had a drink in a irish bar opposite. We came back and had a meal just to see if it could get any worse or better thankfully it got better but only because I could afford it the meal and waiting on staff were five star but so was the price.

Courteous staff. Old world hotel. Beautiful views from the terrace and even from our room on the 1st flood. Nice quiet area

Engish language tended to be a problem at times.

Great location and value for money.

Excellent Location. A grand hotel if a little tired. The rooftop restaurant has impressive views and is a good part of the experience. The family room with interconnecting rooms worked well particularly in the second room we asked for with a view which was impressive. Overall I think this is a very expensive hotel for what we got BUT it is impossible to find a good value reasonable hotel for a family in Rome. This hotel is the best compromise I could find. Its probably good value for Rome but is way too expensive for other places. Interesting point; the Italian Prime Minister stayed at our hotel one night so it must have something going for it.

The place is a little tired and old and needs updating. Our original family room was ok but a long way from anything and had no view. We requested a change and got it on our second night and the second family room was much better, a very special room so make sure you get the right family room because these were 'chalk and cheese'. Staff varied between excellent, helpful to bad, stand offish and even rude. Everything is old but has charm. We got stuck in the lift but were quickly rescued and given free champers. But this freeked out the kids and wife and they never used a lift again even to the rooftop restaurant.

Bar at restaurant on 5th floor not open. Price of dinners too high, we went elsewhere. Complimentary drinks: Serving time only 7:30 pm and only wine. Why only that time and why only wine? Drinks were too expensive, lower for your hotels guests with guests giving their room number.

I love Rome and I love the Hotel Forum so I am biased. I consider it an icon. It is a bit pricey but you can get deals on the rooms. The location is wonderful and the sites, sounds and tastes of Rome surround you at the hotel. There is also nothing better then having a Campari and Soda at the American Bar on the roof enjoying Rome at dusk. Breakfast on the roof is delightful. Since I am back in Canada and winter is approaching rapidly I can only dream about my next to to Rome and bella Italia.

Watch the Taxi drivers at the train station it should be 10 Euros to get to the hotel. I was taken for 50 Euro in a neat trick with a fast meter, a circuitous trip and sneaky bill changing, it was such a good scam and I was impressed 't mind paying so I didn't mind paying for the lesson. The Hotel has a special limo service to the airport to ensure you don't get scammed.

Location is just great. Forum Romanum is cross the street, Coloseum is 1 minute walk...you can not find better location to see old Rome.

They know they have excellent location and they let you pay for it. It is really expensive hotel.
