Dit 4-sterrenhotel is gevestigd in een 18e-eeuws gebouw tegenover het Forum Romanum, tussen het Colosseum en Piazza Venezia. Het restaurant in de tuin op het dak serveert Romeinse en internationale specialiteiten. Het terras biedt een uniek uitzicht op de Eeuwige Stad. De stijlvolle kamers van Hotel Forum zijn ingericht met luxueuze stoffen, parketvloeren en comfortabele bedden. Alle kamers beschikken over airconditioning, satelliet-tv, een minibar en een eigen badkamer met haardroger. De prachtige lobby is voorzien van Perzische tapijten en houten lambrisering. In de bar zijn internationale cocktails verkrijgbaar. U kunt elke dag goed beginnen met een continentaal ontbijtbuffet. Het Forum Hotel bevindt zich naast de kerk van Santi Quirico e Giulitta en op 500 meter van het metrostation Colosseo aan lijn B. De ligging is fantastisch: zeer centraal met uitzicht (enigszins op afstand) op het Forum Romanum, maar wel letterlijk aangrenzend aan het Forum Augustus. Dat was ook mijn afweging om dit hotel te kiezen. Het Colosseum ligt op minder dan 5 min. lopen. Vanaf het terras van de 'American Bar' heb je goed zicht op de Palatijn en Capitoline, met als meest opvallende het grote witte Victor Emanuelle monument. Het Colosseum is overigens niet of nauwelijks te zien. Het eten in het restaurant is goed. De gerechten zijn niet ingewikkeld, meer juist Italiaans 'simpel'. Niet heel goedkoop trouwens, maar het uitzicht maakt weer eea goed. Zorg dan wel voor een tafeltje aan het uiteinde van de serre. Reserveren is noodzakelijk, vooral in het weekend. Internet is beschikbaar, maar erg duur. Personeel kan wel wat vriendelijker op bepaalde momenten. De airco in het hotel is zeer welkom, maar is vreemd genoeg niet op temperatuur in te stellen. Wel op 'fan speed', maar niet warmer of kouder. Dan is uit of aan dus een optie, maar de ramen open laten is gezien de ligging met de Via dei Fori Imperiali praktisch voor de deur niet aan te bevelen. Ontbijt is vooral zoet: veel cake en taart. Met jam gevulde croissants zijn erg lekker. Er is ook yoghurt en fruit. Geen scrambled eggs oid.

Great location - very central and easy to get to the sights, adjoining rooms with shared bathroom was great for us and our son, wonderful view of Forum and Colisseum from breakfast terrace. Not very healthy breakfast - lots of cakes and pastries but no fresh fruit. Bought some from supermarket to add to what was provided

Excellent Location. A grand hotel if a little tired. The rooftop restaurant has impressive views and is a good part of the experience. The family room with interconnecting rooms worked well particularly in the second room we asked for with a view which was impressive. Overall I think this is a very expensive hotel for what we got BUT it is impossible to find a good value reasonable hotel for a family in Rome. This hotel is the best compromise I could find. Its probably good value for Rome but is way too expensive for other places. Interesting point; the Italian Prime Minister stayed at our hotel one night so it must have something going for it. The place is a little tired and old and needs updating. Our original family room was ok but a long way from anything and had no view. We requested a change and got it on our second night and the second family room was much better, a very special room so make sure you get the right family room because these were 'chalk and cheese'. Staff varied between excellent, helpful to bad, stand offish and even rude. Everything is old but has charm. We got stuck in the lift but were quickly rescued and given free champers. But this freeked out the kids and wife and they never used a lift again even to the rooftop restaurant.

Superb location with iconic views over the Forum and towards the Collisseum. Within easy walking distance of all Rome's main attractions but off the main roads so reasonably peaceful. Crown in the jewel is the restaurant on the top floor with one of the best views in Rome. Old world feel with wood panneling and leather chairs in reception. Slightly run down, could do with some tlc whilst retaining its old world charm. Room, whilst clean, was somewhat tatty and in need of cosmetic attention. Not cheap, I would expect better at this price.

Its location and view from the restaurant was perfect Bar at restaurant on 5th floor not open. Price of dinners too high, we went elsewhere. Complimentary drinks: Serving time only 7:30 pm and only wine. Why only that time and why only wine? Drinks were too expensive, lower for your hotels guests with guests giving their room number.

I love Rome and I love the Hotel Forum so I am biased. I consider it an icon. It is a bit pricey but you can get deals on the rooms. The location is wonderful and the sites, sounds and tastes of Rome surround you at the hotel. There is also nothing better then having a Campari and Soda at the American Bar on the roof enjoying Rome at dusk. Breakfast on the roof is delightful. Since I am back in Canada and winter is approaching rapidly I can only dream about my next to to Rome and bella Italia. Watch the Taxi drivers at the train station it should be 10 Euros to get to the hotel. I was taken for 50 Euro in a neat trick with a fast meter, a circuitous trip and sneaky bill changing, it was such a good scam and I was impressed 't mind paying so I didn't mind paying for the lesson. The Hotel has a special limo service to the airport to ensure you don't get scammed.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious - we were a family of four - with amazing views. Its location is fantastic, so close to lots of places of interest. The rooftop bar had spectacular views and great service. Breakfast was great. All in all, we would recommend this to anyone and would definitely stay there again.

Location is just great. Forum Romanum is cross the street, Coloseum is 1 minute walk...you can not find better location to see old Rome. They know they have excellent location and they let you pay for it. It is really expensive hotel.

Location and staff, restaurant and convenience to everything in city centre historically, great for a woman travelling alone and for being able to walk around safely at night and seeing the historical sights at night and by day. Have stayed here 5 times now and recommend it to everyone, love it especially the roof top. Please note that I have booked the hotel for more than two nights, I am staying for 5this time, last week was for two nights.

Very good hotel. Not low cost but reasonable for a city hotel with good levels of comfort and service. Roof top restaurant/bar were great. Being able to see the Colusseum and Forum and other key hostoric locations whilst haveing a meal was wonderful. Location was the key to this hotel. Right slap bang in amongst it. Just a walk - long or short - to everything really.

Excellent room, view and location - ideal for Rome. Lovely breakfast. No tea and coffee facilities in room, bit expensive on reflection, restaurant prices were very high so had to eat elsewhere but would have loved to have eaten on the rooftop restaurant in the evening

The hotel made.us feel very welcome at the end of a tiring journey. Very clean, great location, wonderful roof for breakfast. Rooms were slightly hot as not air conditioned.

The veiws are stunning,the location exellent, parking expensive, the roof top resturant nice. The rooms I had booked through booking.com one was what I expected the other was diabolical, I asked at the desk to show me a room worse than mine they declined and moved me to a double the next day which was very nice, but I still had to pay for the first night.Had they not got my credit card details I would have left straight away, do not stay in room 222 and make sure you demand to know you are not in it.Do not expect preferential seating on the roof top restaraunt because you are staying either and do not waste your time on there free cocktails from 7.30-8.00 pm the bar tender was so offensive we left and had a drink in a irish bar opposite. We came back and had a meal just to see if it could get any worse or better thankfully it got better but only because I could afford it the meal and waiting on staff were five star but so was the price.

Fantastic location. Roof Bar overlooking the Forum, the Palatine hill and the Victor Emanuel monument is worth the stay all by its own. Roof Bar should open earlier - say 3 P.M.instead of at 5 P.M.

le positif : uniquement la situation géographique nous étions là pour le mariage de notre fils à rome, juste à côté de l'église : 100 m à pied confort décevant, bruyant, sanitaire vieillot, manque d'éclairage, lits moyens ;étonnant lorsqu'il est dit que des personnalités y séjournent pourtant je suis loin d'être snob, peut être la table y est excellente mais impossible d'y diner sans réservation et bien longtemps à l'avance

フォロロマーノの一部が見えるのが良かったです。レストランからは、一望できます。コロッセオも少し見えま- した。 ビュッフェのレストランの方が親切で、美味しかったです。 ローマ駅から行くバスの本数が多くなかった。 ポーターの方が案内する部屋を分かっていなかったりした。

Surtout la situation et la vue depuis la chambre et depuis la salle à manger: le Forum à nos pieds!!!! Dans la liste des mots qui caractérisent l'hôtel, j'ajouterais justement: la situation, la vue! J'ai aimé aussi la gentillesse et la disponibilité des employés de la réception. Je n'ai pas aimé le restaurant, un peu prétentieux et la nourriture, pas excellente Le fait qu'il n'y ait pas de connexion Internet gratuite et illimitée, étonnant dans un hôtel de cette catégorie
