The location on the grand canal and hotel garden were excellent. The proximity and regularity of the water bus made life so much easier in getting around Venice. The ease of reaching reasonable eating places was very good. We liked the internet linked computer in the hotel. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. We thought there could have been more choice at breakfast every morning was very much of a sameness.for instance the hot food was of a very limited selection.

The NH Manin is a lovely hotel just steps away from the vaparetto stop which meant we found it easily. The room was very good with a lovely view and breakfast was excellent, we enjoyed our coffee in the sunny garden. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless.

I went to Venice for one day just for a weekend and wanted to find a comfortable hotel in the center. The hotel is situated near the Grand canal and you have a water bus stop just in front!I Asked on reception for a room with a view on the canal and they gave me double room instead of single with an amazing view!!!!Also breakfast is really good and there is also a small and nice garden

The hotel is right on the Grand Canal and very close to a vaparetto stop, which made it very convenient. The Cunard cruise line would deliver our bags to the hotel, which saved us the hastle of getting our luggage to the hotel ourselves. The staff was very helpful in making arrangements for an early morning trip to the airport. Thanks to the staff at nh Manin we made our plane flight and took home wonderful memories of Venice. Had trouble communicating by email to the hotel ahead of our stay. You did not respond to 2 emails we sent about early morning water taxi particulars.

The hotel is well placed for easy walking distances within central Venice and the main points of interest. The vaporetto stops right outside the hotel which is convenient. Located right on the Grand Canal this provides high impact on arrival and the opportunity to have a canal view guest room. Very definitely not value for money. Understandably a price must be paid for location but the hotel does not justify the cost charged. Hotel is in need of updating. Marble style floors throughout meant there was a lot of noise - from guests walking along corridors or in rooms above. Rooms felt clinical and marble floors enhanced this. We were very disappointed by our junior suite (485/night) which was huge but felt empty and unwelcoming. Uncomfortable seating area. Weather during our visit (mid october) was bright but chilly so my elderly father felt very cold in the hotel. Apparently no heating is available until end of october, regardless of the weather. Inefficient room service.

Staff were great and helpful at all times, super breakfast, reasonable room, good bed. Room was cold both literally (no heat on during unseasonably cold days) and somewhat austere for the price, few amenities directly at the hotel itself. Couldn't get housekeeping on an issue at 10 PM. But all in all reasonable.

This exquisit old theater rebuilt into a sweet elegant hotel, 20 m away from line 1of the overpacked vaporetti (the direct one to Lido or Piz Romana). Sweet tiny garden and terrace with parasols for breakfast or drinks. So welcoming and helpfull staff. Gorgeous room. Nothing...

The location was fantastic - the view of the action on the Grand Canal was exactly what I wanted. However, it does not make for the most peaceful location as it is right by the San Angelo boat stop and it a major turning place for other boats, including gondolas, but for me, that was all part of the ever changing view of Venice. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant which I wasn't aware of before booking- my fault, I expect I didn't read the details properly. The junior suite is a bit over-rated - it is just a very large room without any tea/coffee making facilities and a pretty basic bathroom, although you do get a robe and slippers thrown in. I somehow expected more. We also had to leave on the first boat to the airport on our last day, thereby missing breakfast which started at 0730. Despite asking on three separate occasions if we could have some form of light breakfast provided (E.G. coffee and pastries), and being told that this would be ok (eventually) it actually didn't materialise. The bar menu is very limited. On last moan - despite being told in advance that the reason for our trip was to celebrate my husband's birthday, evidenced by his cards on the day, the hotel did not acknowledge it in any way which I feel is sadly lacking in detaill for a hotel of this (purported) standard.

Staff members Elizabetta, Laura, and Ivano were all smiley and genuinely nice and welcoming, the first I'd seen in Italy! Elizabetta gave me a fantastic room ( #4) and she and Laura were an outstanding team. Their English is quite good and they really wanted to please me. Ivano, on loan from another NH Hotel, also wanted to please me and offered me a great rate that his unhelpful colleague Lucca did not honor. Ahir, the night watchman, tried to help me with my computer. He and I had great conversations about life and Venice, a very thoughtful person. The location, about 50 feet from the 1 Vaporetto boat is great but beware- see story below. It stops running before midnight!! Ivano offered me the same rate ( 139E) for the 4 remaining nights ( I had prepaid for 2 of them with Elizabetta)and Lucca refused to give me this rate. He was the least helpful of all the staff, quick and dismissive with my questions, so i ended up paying more for the same room the last 2 nights Mold! They are so close to the water. This problem can be fixed if the maids use bleach regularly. It was really disgusting in both showers. ( I stayed in # 210 for days, a great room for singles overlooking the courtyard in the back) Ivano, please don't dismiss this as it goes with the territory and you recaulk it every 6 months. I'm here now and it was gross!! You MUST be careful with the vaporetto boat. The boats DO run all night. Surprise! The # 1, which is the only one that stops at the hotel, stops before midnight. I went out for ice cream at 11: 30 and could not get a boat back to the hotel stop. Venice is DARK and i'm a woman alone. NOT good!! I had to take a boat to Rialto and then attempted to walk back but it is super dark!!I had to hire a little speedboat that offered to give me a ride.

The position on the Grand Canal with close proximity to the Rialto Bridge was delightful. Another plus was the Vapporetto stop outside. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous at all times. A lovely hotel. The garden at the rear of the hotel was beautiful but something need to be done about the pigeons, they made breakfast outside a nightmare. They need to be trapped and culled.

Our trip lasted for 2 weeks and stayed in few 4 and 5 star hotels but this hotels had the best breakfast cholices and we really enjoyed it. Please keep it up. We had a very hard time locating the hotel from the main land car park. People gave us wrong directions and it seemed like no one new what or where NH Manin Hotel was. We spent 2 hours wondering around the streets in St Marco and finally paid a Gondola 150 Euros to get us to the hotel. Will be helpful if the website can specify the location and directions etc.
